[Root] Micromax A56 Ninja 2 - Micromax A50 NINJA - All Things Thread

This thread is for the new Micromax A56 NINJA 2
Here are the specifications of the mobile, it will help the developers -
Processor- Qualcomm 800 mhz
Chipset- Not Known
GPU- Adreno 200 [Not sure]
OS- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
Memory: 512 MB of internal storage
RAM: 256MB RAM
Screen Resolution- 360 x 480 pixels
I request all the devs & forum members to post all the Custom ROMs, tutorials, hacks & all the stuff related to Micromax A56 in this thread
If there is some extra information you know, please post or let me know so that we all together can develop for this device.
I will soon be posting the Rom dump and other details. We all first need to somehow root the device.

i am having this phone and i've used every trick and tweak to unlock phone if cloakworkmod provide new recovery mode then only it can be done adb procedure is not so useful for it..

So what are the things we have to do -
First, we have to root the phone then only we can use custom roms , mods , overclock etc..
To Root the Device we can follow the following procedures -
1)By Adb Procedure [Risky]
2)Using SP Flash Tool -
We need drivers , scatter file ,orginal boot.img
we also can find a clone of the device, from which we can use the boot.img
3)By editing the boot.img and injecting it
If anyone has any progress, do inform me

Can your make a original rom dump of your device and upload it, it will help us to edit the boot.img
And what are the technical specifications of the device(like baseband cpu ram rom internal memory etc...)
What else problems are you facing ?????? What are the pros and cons of the device (like hows it camera ,speaker quality, which games can it play???, benchmark etc)

i have tried every rooting software like z4root universalroot gingerbreak unlockroot exploit method and also tried to change recovery mode from 3e to other using rom manager but while connecting to internet i coudn't find my device .. it shows many othrer devices but not mine....
the device is good having qualcomm ARM7 processor with single core and gpu is adreno (TM)200 and graphics are openGL ES-CM 1.1 and benchmark is scoring 3610 pints that is good than samsung gt-s5830 and i've played games like pes 2011 nfs shift but most of the other games like hd go beyond screen what can i do?
i can't even copy a single file into c: directory and it is 190 mb....
i am not good at all this android devices because this is my first android phone can you give me procedure to do get original rom so i can help you!!!

the other problems are like i can't update using update.zip i can make it go to recovery mode using vol+ and power button but can't do anything else.. speaker are good and gamig is also good but i want to root it anyway can you help me?

As you are new to android , i will not want you to experiment with your phone .... as you might brick it. I soon as I get my own A56 I will create a dump and upload it.
We can't root the device or use update.zip because before that we have to edit the boot.img some how ......
If you dare to create a dump of your ROM then you can try this method - [ It is very unlikely that it will cause any harm to your device, as it just copies the file from your Rom to your micro sd]

We require more Devs and also require the details of the manufacturer of the device.
If some how i can get the boot.img the i might be able to edit it so that we can use unlockroot, superoneclick etc to root it.
The problem is i don't have the device so that i can test it

We can try this
We can try the same procedure we use to root the Ninja A50
But we need a valid scatter file and a (unsecured) boot.img

this phone is based on qualcomm msm7225a and the mtk6573's or mmx a50's rooting procedure will not work on this phone .. It dosent got a scatter file like mtk6573 .

I am looking forward to buy Micromax A56 phone (have a tight budget of 6000)but have some doubts please reply.
#Currently i have a60 model (zte penguin)quite good due to custom rom and tweaks but have to upgrade now.
1.does Micromax A56 have a gpu and what is the chipset?
2.what is the available internal memory at time of buying it.some people say 50mb which is horrible.
3.does it affect performance due to 50 mb internal memory and 256 mb ram?
4.are the 3 android buttons backlight and have good responsiveness.
5.can i get an extra battery as i am a frequent traveller.
6.list good games that can be played on it .(you can ignore this question)
7.how is the dual sim functionality and does it has notification led?

Is Karbonn A111 similar?

I recently purchased a Karbonn A111, the specs of which are similar to MMX A110. Can the dev and user confirm if this is indeed the case. It is unbelievable to see so much activity in an Indian phone (though may be Chinese copy).
If the specs are similar, can the development be done for Karbonn A111 also? I tried to root it with bin4ry tool but did not work. Am getting "cp : write error: no space on disk" error. Supersu is seen in app drawer but there is no binary and says it cannot install binary.
I actually did the procedure without selecting MTP option. Later also tried with MTP but no change. Phone was lagging. After data reset lag gone but supersu still present and of course phone is no rooted.
Any suggestions?

Yes I know that. But the specs of Karbonn A111 seem very similar and if it is the same on the inside then maybe there can be a common forum for both. The devs here can maybe check that out and decide. I may be completely wrong on the specs.

Both the handsets come with 512 MB of RAM as well as dual core processor that too on Qualcomm's chipset. But the Karbonn Smart A111's processor has a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. It could be possible that Karbonn has overclocked a 1 GHz processor to 1.2 GHz.
Also Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 have similar specs

You can try with MTK Dorid Tools v240! It supports the MTK6589 but if root will be possible yet? Just try I can't test, because i don't have such device!

OraXdaDevelopers - Register yourself here: Star S7589 roms/recovery, you'll find there all tools needed for flashing first recovery, than for example rom with already included root. (And with some performance tweaks).
It's not hard to do, you may use tutorial for other MTK phones (6577 or 6575), they use same tool for flashing.

So my phone is now available, but
I have read back the original images
boot.img
recovery.img
I have to do with the flashtool.exe.
Because during the fixing with the MKT Droid Root &Tools V 2.41 comes an error messages. It ist unable to fix the recovery.img. Attacht my both images.
Exist a new version for MKT 6589 devices?

OraXdaDevelopers - Today I've recived my phone, and already installed recovery from the link i posted higher, it works with no problems, and flashing it into phone wasn't hard either. (With SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1248.0.96-MT6589), and drivers which are there.

Intex Aqua power ROM and cwm

Respected readers, I anyhow managed to root my intex Aqua power phone successfully. I used kingroot latest application and I am super user now. It's all fine.
But I have question that how can I remove my original android 4.4 and install either android L or any other nice operating system on my phone. I am really very tired of this default operating system and company itself not providing any updates... ..
Please help me properly

There seems to be no developers or porters (for now) for Intex Aqua Power, hence no custom ROMs.
No custom recoveries too.
But it's easy to create a CWM recovery if you're rooted.

Note: You shouldn't use ROMs of other devices.
That'll brick your phone.

If you are kingroot user please turn your king user to supersu
Get kinguser to supersu zip and extract in sdcard

Then type command in terminal emulator(avail in google play)
Commands(after command please tap enter and hacker keyboard recommended):

Then if success reeboot phone then you can use rashr to flash recovery
You can also install xposed download it via xda site

But first you need to use SuperSU
If you are kingroot user please turn your king user to supersu
Get kinguser to supersu zip and extract in sdcard

Then type command in terminal emulator(avail in google play)
Commands(after command please tap enter and hacker keyboard recommended):
1.su
2.(Your path where you extact zip then root.sh)ex. /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
Then if success reeboot phone then you can use rashr to flash recovery
You can also install xposed download it via xda site

Hi!
I rooted my intex aqua power hd with kingoroot and then uninstalled it to install super su. I want to install a custom rom on my phone. Does the above method work for intex aqua power hd as well? What are the custom roms available that are stable with this phone, if you know:silly:.
I am new to rooting and stuff and it so happens that my phone is pretty uncommon as well . I've been digging the internet and the forum for some time now but I still wouldn't wanna take chances with my phone:angel:.
Any help is much appreciated.

Yes if your rooted system controller is SuperSu, so this method will work but recovery is of power plus so backup your current recovery then work on it if it fails reboot your phone and restore recovery.

kingroot will work after its done you can replace kingroot with SuperSu

TWRP and Custom Rom for Lava Z61P

Hi I am a student in govt. School recently I got a lava phone distributed by our CM it's a lava z61p powered by Unisoc SC9863A it has some serious stuff going on like I can't change wallpaper of my CM nor it has a recovery and also bootloader does not have any visible stuff going on some how I was able to unlock it now I just require a custom rom and a TWRP for it my friend has recommended me XDA for help plz help me my CM's have have almost coverd around 50% of available 16 GB which I cannot uninstall plz help me ASAP soon I will send you all a video of the problem
[No recovery and fastboot thing]
I have heard of porting thing and wanna mention that wiko view 3 lite has same chipset so you can port it easily my friend can test that rom for me also it's a gsi image as said by him so can you give me link for that app to check that gsi thing

How did you unlocked the bootloader of the phone please tell me
