[Q] developing a new keyboard for all Android applications - General Questions and Answers

Hi everybody
I want to add some icons to the default android keyboard which is used in all applications such as messaging and be able to change the phone's settings to use my special keyboard as the default in all applications.
To be more specific, I want to add something like the microphone icon for speech to text conversion in English for my own language (Persian). Would anyone please give me a help?
Thanks!

Can anyone create/modify the SIP icon for me?

The keyboard icon constantly pops up on my home screen. I have tried nullkb, pcm, pqz, etc... combinations of them, I can't get rid of it.
You name it and i've tried it so now I'm looking at it from a different angle... I don't need the on-screen keyboard b/c i have a slide-out.
So for aesthetic purposes does anyone know how to change the keyboard icon into something more appealing. Nullkb has an icon of a keyboard w/an 'x' thru it, HTC keyboard and keypad have the '20' and '12' icons that represent the different keyboard selected so I know you can change it.
Can someone here create an icon for a fake SIP that has a windows icon or any small graphic (like a lock or skull and crossbones)... anything is more appealing than the worthless keyboard graphic... i mean even a smiley face is better than the keyboard... anyway i'll stop my rant..
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Here is a blank keyboard:

Its a better solution than the standard keyboard. Thanks.
PS If anyone has anything else that results in a better graphic or can create personalized SIP keyboard icon's please post.
Thanks again.

Emotion icon for sms?

Doesn't it support emotion icons for text messaging? I didn't find any emotion pack. Moreover, short codes are not working for this phone. But, it shows icons for my inbox message. Is there any way to use emo?
It is supported. Just add the extra button with emoticons to your keyboard and then try to type
It's working for me.
What do you mean by extra button. How to add this? Could you please explain this?
