just a FYI - the mms issue isn't a CM7 specific issue, it's affected every AOSP build we have out (including all the original ones that were developed by the fascinate guys)
Please do let us know how you fair, we've all started by loading the correct APN but there is far more to it than that - I'll point you here for reference on what could be the cause -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12806384&postcount=773
Once we loaded the correct server info into the APN, it was trying to connect to the server but giving an error about WAP not being enabled - that's as far as we got with it.
And by the way, for future reference - only development topics should be posted here - this should have gone in general.

Okay thanks for the info I was looking through some of the settings and noticed that the user settings for the server is setting to the verizon network yet it needs to be on the uscc.net network. i tried to change it but it changes the setting back to verizon.

MMS doesn't work at all for any AOSP rom so sometimes we don't bother messing with APNs config when we port.
I've had plenty of APN problems while roaming with my US Cell phone. In April in December I traveled to Dallas, was in a building I couldn't get signal and when I came out the phone said "No APN Configured" - Once I landed in Milwaukee and powered on my phone again it worked just fine. Same thing happened again last week when I was out in a rural area.
I've grabbed APN Manager from the apps store and backed up my settings to restore them if this occurs again. I might get a chance to try that out this weekend since i'll be up in the middle of nowhere once again.
I can't recall exactly what I was running before but now i'm on the EC10 Heinz 57.

I need the APNS settings dump from the system/ect/apns-conf.xml from the original rom for USCC if you have any by chance. im going to set the apns settings back to all USCC but i need the original file to do so
Check out GO SMS. it has some mms options, you might be able to tweak them.
Sent from my CM7 SCH-i500
First off, I am running Melvin's stock rom and the nociq fix posted in the development section.
Everything works flawlessly, I get good data speeds, and I can receive mms, but I am not able to send them. Could either Melvin's rom or the nociq fix have broken this?
I have tried all the APNs I could find in the Skyrocket forum, and with all of them I have the same problem. I'm not currently in an LTE area (Minneapolis, so hopefully soon...) but all of the APN settings I enter give me about the same data speeds and again none of them will recieve mms, however I am able to send them just fine.
Any insight into this would be wonderful! I use mms all the time.

Yes I did, and I just tried it again. Same thing-- using those APN settings, the internet works and sending mms works, but not receiving.
I really don't want to reflash the rom but I am about to...
So I just fixed my issue with the phone and texts not working, but I still can't send or receive mms. I have a ns4g on sprint. Stock rooted gwk74, with the kernel Peter Alfonso provided inROM manager.
Have you been able to send/receive MMS earlier?
Do you think your APN settings are correct?
Maybe you can post your APN settings and someone could check if they seem ok.
integrate both your 3g/mms apns into one apn.
and in apn type: default,supl,mms
I have some issues with my Skyrocket. It likes to take a long delay sometimes when trying to load anything with internet. Sometimes just 10-15 seconds, then loads perfectly. Other times, hours.
The only fix I have found with this is using the Tweakker app's APN settings for 4G(LTE). However, when I use this APN I can no longer receive MMS messages.
Can you guys tell me what APN settings I could use to be able to use my internet correctly AND get MMS?
Thanks for any help

search for AT&T PTA.
Turn on DATA in settings and it use data for a bit, reboot. and AT&T should force the PTA APN to your phone, it then becomes un-editable. Also, make sure you have the correct baseband radio; then the PTA apn will be pushed to you.
If you are still having issues recieving MMS. it's bcuz your MMS APK is AOSP. AOSP MMS won't let you receive pic msgs from non-android phones.
Again Please Search Before Posting New Thread!!!!!! I am sure you will find you answer!!!!!

Bought my G3 last week, rooted, de-loated and applying Straight Talk APN to run, everything works great with the exception of mms. Even though, I swtiched to hangouts text messaging but still cant able to download any mms. Any idea or settings that might have missed. Highly appreciate it.

I had the same issue. You have make sure that APN type is left blank. This fixed the issue for me. I had to use APN backup then SQLite editor to remove "default" from APN type and restore the APN.
Hope this helps.
Adblock Plus also blocks MMS if you added that.

What does it mean by APN type. Just so you know there is an additional APN menu on Google Hangout(default messenger for me). I did not touch anything there, it's there by default. I have added ST APN and 4g LTE is working fine and also receiving regular text messages. Not sure what else I could check for. I am not using ADBlock plus also..
Thanks,

In the APN settings you should have an option for "APN type". Mine was always defaulting to "default, hipri" whenever I would try to set it up. If you can leave it blank without it defaulting back, you should be good. I had to make a backup of the APN then change the database and restore it to make it stick. I will try to post some images for you.
