Moto g parts - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a moto g unlocked that has a cracked screen. I was wondering if I could purchase a cheap boost mobile version of the moto g and switch out the screens. I don't see why that would not work, right?
Could I even just purchase a new boost mobile version of the moto g and just switch the motherboards?

[Q] Moto G VS Galaxy Nexus and Ques

So I ordered the 16GB Moto G U.S version on Amazon and waiting for them shipping it out on the 11th and it then occured to me the other phone that is around the same in specs ..the Samsung Galaxy Nexus ..so I went on eBay to see if the price dropped on the unlocked version and its still $270 and up for a new one..
Why is the Nexus still more than the Moto G?
Last question, when is 4.4 KitKat coming to Moto G as in the exact date?

Its more because its discontinued and therefore harder to get...meaning people will more willingly pay higher price to get it.
Forget about the Gnex and stick to your Moto G lol, Ive got both atm Moto G is better overall.
And theres no exact date. Its coming sometime in January

[Q] Moto g on sprint

I'm looking to get my mom on a framily group on sprint but when I went to look at the phones available I didn't see the moto g. This would be the perfect phone for her because she wont be doing much on it. Anyone know if there is a moto g compatible with the sprint network. I guess my next question would be is there anything like the moto g(droid mini, razr i) that would work on the sprint network.

I asked moto support team many time about that but they could not give me answer every time... and actually i want to change the lcd with xt1031 not with 1028 (I checked the model number later) but there might be some compatibility issues as whenever i googled it, i found lcd of 1032, 1033 are compatible but i never find that xt1028, 1031 are compatible with xt1033.. thats why i want to be sure...please share your experiences friends

I don't know much about hardware but my friend who is an expert told me that the screen won't differ. You can try replacing the screen. Good luck
The vibrator is part of the motherboard IIRC. So unless you want to remove just that part, and are confident in your removal and replacement skills of parts on the board, I'd just get another phone.
The LCD is also a ***** to replace if not completely cracked (ie touchscreen issues).
Just remember the xt1028 is for verizon and I doubt works outside the us for any network.

I recommend the Moto G as it is practically guaranteed future updates to at least Android 5.0, also the Moto G has almost stock Android experiance with a better screen.
I personally own a Moto G (1st Gen) and love it so much I've recommended it to most people for a cheap powerful Android phone and I'm sure the 2nd Gen will not disapoint.
Also if price is an issue then go for the 1st gen Moto G as it should drop in price due to launch of the Moto G 4G and Moto G 2nd gen

But zenfone have 2gb ram but moto g 2014 have 1gb ram. Will it not give any performance effect?
Sometimes specs don't make a difference. I would pick the Moto G any day

WTF?!?!?! No Verizon Moto G 2015?!?!!?!

This really sucks. I wonder if there is any chance it will be released at a later date?
I don't understand why there can be a Moto X 2015 for Verizon but not a Moto G 2015?
i agree, i hate the new moto x, looks like a note. the g is just the right size
I was planning to get a Verizon moto G for my wife! Looks like I wont be able to do so.
