I've just bought the same device.
It seems that only temporary rooting can be done ATM- /system is a cramfs image (not writable).
SuperOneClick gives shell root (via adb) but messes "internal sd" access
EDIT:
There is a prerooted custom firmware available- source (4pda.ru).
What you need:
-get Rockchip Batch Tool from HERE (contains USB drivers)
-get a firmware:
a) PMP3384BRU_20111206_V1.1.9_root -prerooted image, no other changes
b) PMP3384BRU_20111206_V1.1.9_root_607Mb_free - 607 MB for /data, prerooted, Golauncher, Gokeyboard, Adobe Reader, CoolReader, Dolphin browser HD, ButtonSaviour- only for RockChip Batch Tool flashing
How to flash:
1. fully charge your MultiPad
2. backup internal flash- it will be erased
3. unpack Rockchip Batch Tool and launch it as admin
4. press and hold Reset (on the back), plug USB cable, release Reset
5. there should be a popup asking for drivers- they are placed in Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.4\drivers\[windows version]. If there is no popup go to Device Manager and install drivers
6. load firmware .img file to Rockchip Batch Tool and click Update button
NOTE
PMP3384B is the same as PMP3384BRU, the only difference is initial localization (B= english, BRU= russian)
Working or no working ? Can you geave me TOOL_RK2918.zip ?
I've tested it, and it's fully working,
i've flashed PMP3384BRU_20120116_V1.1.9_Full_root_v2 (available at that link)
which is official 1.1.09 firmare with rw filesystem and down button reassigned to back, among other things
He gave you the tools, it's the first link
Still no info about 4.0? I have installed the PMP5080B_2.0.0_20120401 (has ICS) on it and the button worked as volume but the touchscreen doesn't respond. i use Rockchip Batch Tool
Im going to root him.I think nothing will hapend.
EDIT : Working, thanks !
Prestigio PMP3384B
Is it 3.0 or 4.0? Please let me know.
Greetings
Paul

Bricked it!
Any help would be much appreciated
I followed the instructions to the letter. After rockbatch finished I checked the tab and it wouldn't even turn on
if bricked
Bricked it too...
But i solved that very easy !!! Im so happy  I registered here just cause i wanna share this with others who have same problem
so....
Follow gen_scheisskopf 2nd post on this topic + you need to hold RESET button whole the time while Rockchip Batch Tool download firmware...
steps (only if you have bricked PMP 3384B):
1.Unzip PMP3384BRU_20111206_V1.1.9_root.zip and Rockchip Batch Tool.zip
2.Install drivers from Rockchip Batch Tool/driver folder
3.Open Rockchip Batch Tool.exe
4.Device is off, hold reset button 3,4sec. and put usb cable, release Reset button.
5.Now,if you install drivers properly from Rockchip Batch Tool folder (folder Drivers) you should see green light on 1. connected device in rockchip software...
6.FW PATH : (first option in this program)Pick this img - PMP3384BRU_20111206_V1.1.9_root.img
7.If firmware load success then do next step
8.Hit restore button and hold reset button(on your tablet) whole the time till process end.
9.Thats it...after success download firmware it will probably fail at next process -Checking firmware ,but nevermind, you have already unbrick your PMP and flash new ROM + now you have rooted ROM :victory: .
this works for me,but you need to hold reset button while process ONLY IF you have bricked pmp3384b!!!!

This is the method to root Micromax Funbook & install CWM recovery.
1) Download the attachment funbook.rar
2) Extract it , it contains CWM recovery & CWM-SuperSU.zip two .rar files
3) Extract CWM recovery to desktop & connect your funbook via usb
4) If the device is not detected then install the ADB driver in the attachment
5) open CWM recovery run Recovery-Install.bat
it has 3 option select 1 to install CWM recovery
select 2 to reboot into recovery
select 3 to quit.
6) then move CWM-SuperSU.zip to internal sd of funbook
7) boot into CWM recovery by pressing menu button & power button simultaneously.
8) select install zip from internal sd card & select the CWM-SuperSU.zip & press power button, select yes to continue.
now you are Rooted
Before installing any custom rom perform a NANDROID backup.
This method is successfully tested by me however use this at your own risk!
How exactly is CWM recovery supposed to be installed on the tablet?
just run the Recovery-Install.bat with micromax funbook connected & ADB driver installed on your computer, it will autometically install CWM recovery on your funbook.
Funbook is Pre-Rooted. No Need to root it again.

For all having problems in installing I found this on thinkk digit forums... Maybe this will help you:
INSTALLING CUSTOM RECOVERY
1. Download CWM Recovery 5 ICS.zip
2. Extract it.
These are the requirements fo Flash CWM...
- tablet must be running Android ICS version (4.0.x)
- tablet must have Superuser installed with SU binary loaded
- tablet must have Debugging enabled (ADB drivers included)
Your Funbook is Pre-Rooted, so we'll just proceed with installing Superuser App from Market
3. Go to Play Store and download Superuser.
4. Go to Superuser App > Settings > Su Binary > Install the Binary
5. Reboot.
Now we'll enable USB Debugging
6. Go to Settings > Developer Options > Turn On USB Debugging.
Now we'll increase the screen timeout to prevent screen from getting turned off in the middle of these procedures
7. Go to Settings > Display > Select Never at Sleep.
8. So now connect the USB Cable to your PC and Funbook and you should see USB Debugging Connected notification.
At this point, if this is your first time, you may see Windows trying to find Drivers which will fail ofcourse. Go to Device Management [Press Windows Key + R > Type devmgmt.msc] > Right Click on Unknown Devices > Update Driver Software > Browse My Computer for Driver Software > Both 64bit [Drivers-AllwinnerA10-64bits] and 32bit [Drivers-AllwinnerA10-32bits] Drivers are provided there within a folder named ADB_Drivers under the Recovery Package, so just browse them according to your OS Specification. A screen may appear up saying "The Publisher of this Driver could not be verified", just ignore that and "Continue Anyway".
9. DO NOT TURN ON USB STORAGE. LEAVE IT AS IT IS.
Time to install CWM. There are two methods. One is easy, by running a script and another is using ADB by typing commands. You'll get an _Instructions.txt there which lists both the methods in case you want to try out the 2nd method. Here I'll only cover the easy one i.e. using Script.
10. Run recovery-install.bat [Windows] / recovery-install.sh [Linux] and press any key and just wait and watch the show
11. Within few mins recovery will be installed.
To reboot in Recovery Mode -> Press Options Key and by keeping it pressed, Press Power Key. Release Power Key and then Release Options Key.
12. Reboot.

HAVING PROBLEM WHILE INSTALLING CWM?? GETTING PERMISSION DENIED ERROR??
Ok, for those who cannot install CWM from the normal steps(most probably new funbook users having Base 1.2 and ICS 4.0.3) follow these steps.
1. Install Superuser from playstore, update binary, you'll notice it will fail one part(red text), re do the update 2,3 times staright away until all the text become green, no need to reboot phone, but you might want to.
2. Install Android terminal from playstore, in terminal put su and press enter, if you get a warning allow it, if # comes you have root access. If not, re do step one. Don't continue till you get this step correct.
3. Download ES File manager from playstore, go to settings, allow all root access related options and also tick go upto root option.
4. Now start ES file manager, go to root, long press the dev folder, set properties, check all boxes, click ok. Do the same for the data folder, now open the dev folder, and repeat the steps for the block folder, and inside the block folder do the steaps for nandg file.
5. Allow USB debugging from dev options, connect the cable, install drvers.
6. Run the ICS recovery script, wait for it to finish, if it fails then you need to check and set permission again, if all goes well you have successfully installed CWM.
Warning: When setting permissions in ES File Manager make sure the USB cable is not attached, if so it might cause a hard crash and brick the device.
I had used this method to flash CWM on mine and on my friends device, both Base 1.2 and ICS 4.0.3(made in may 2012, the rom build no is: 97F1-D1-H2-H01-MMX.20120512) hence I think funbooks made after may 2012 must use this method, otherwise the script will fails due to permission denial.

Thanks for the Quick Response....
I m using Windows 7 64bit... ADB from your zip file didnt work for me, it was showing Side-by-side Error(something like that).. Then, I used new AD B driver and then adb command didnt give any ERROR.
The main issue I had is, We need to ADD ADB_USB.INI file. 'coz, google says, all devices cannot be detected from ADB, in that case, we need to find our device Vendor ID and then put it in ini file. Then my device got detected. Now, Everything is fine...
- My Next attempt is to get CWM installed on this device. Then will make a custom ROM. I read that, RK3066 Retina display modules work on any RK3066 device.. I ll give a try.. If you already installed CWM on this device, plz do let me know.
If you dont mind, can u add a Trouble shooting section in First post and add below data:
1. Unzip and Copy Attached file in C:\users\Username\.android folder. So, file is C:\user\Username\.android\adb_usb.ini
2. Then on ADB, run these commands, adb kill-server and adb devices. Now, you device should be displayed.
In case, if you still cant find it, then search for LUSB.EXE file from google and run it, it displays your device Vendor and Product ID's. Then, open attached file(adb_usb.ini)(use Notepad++ or Textpad editor) and add your device Vendor ID in the last line just like I did
Bro, don't get too excited with spice mi1010... it'll die on U someway or the other, before U develop any FW for it... its a piece of junk
Then when it dies & U give it to service, u'll get a completely bashed up piece of junk which U won't feel like using anymore... then u'll tell them to give U a better condition piece & they'll give U a even more bashed up piece & the circle will go on 1month for each transaction... & finally u'll come home & either use sell_the_****_till_it_turns_on.ini or >adb hammer
I wrote all this during the 1st 1 month tat the device worked... after that 2months of service & then sold off
What I wrote WORKED!!! But now obviously there's better tricks
& I don't have the device or any other android to test anymore... I've moved on to windows ecosystem with Asus vivotab smart LTE

Hi everyone!
I've got Sony Xperia M4 Aqua 2303 - stock Lollipop, rooted, TWRP Recovery.
I have installed busybox pro, SELinux Mode set to permissive (by SELinuxModeChanger) and newest version of Viper4Android (installed in recovery). I have also version from market.
And my problem is that ask prompt occurs every time I'm opening V4A app, I'm picking Yes>hugh quality>it show that it's installed and want me to reboot. After reboot the same prompt occurs - install driver :/
I've changed tunnel decode, ipa.decode and ipa.use to false.
Am I doing something wrong?
I can't find solution for this problem.
Has anyone solved it?

Ok i Fixed that Problem
i found a tutorial on the internet but i am not allowed to post links here at this moment ... so you need to google for gizdev
[Guide] Install Viper4Android On Any Lollipop Devices Android 5.0/5.1
i hope you will find it quickly
you need to do it like method 2 explained in that tutorial
but in other steps like explained.
it is explained in this tutorial like:
####################################
Method 2 For Any Lollipop 5.0 And 5.1
####################################
Install Busy Box
Download The Both Zip Files LolliViPER.zip, Viper4A-_Build.Prop-Tweaks_-CWM.zip, Viper4A-_Soundfix-LibFiles_-CWM.zip
Copy To Sd Or Phone Storage
Flash 3 Zip File Via Cwm Or Twrp
Flash First LolliViPER.zip Don’t Reboot Flash Viper4A-_Build.Prop-Tweaks_-CWM.zip Don’t Reboot Viper4A-_Soundfix-LibFiles_-CWM.zip
Clear Dalvik Cache And Cache
Reboot
Open Viper4Android Install Driver Prompt Yes When Ask For Driver Install
###########################
But that didn´t work on my e2303 device....
the only way it worked for me was like setting up fresh stock rom version .167
then install super SU and go to settings. make sure you set super su is enabled on startup.
this is very important cause if this is not set the selinuxpermissive app will not work while v4a will try to install the driver while booting the device.
after that you need to install the selinuxpermissive app mentioned in method 1 in the tutorial. set it to permissive and boot into TWRP.
It is important that busy box is NOT installed at that time.
now install the files from that tutorial in method 2 in that way:
Download The Both Zip Files LolliViPER.zip, Viper4A-_Build.Prop-Tweaks_-CWM.zip, Viper4A-_Soundfix-LibFiles_-CWM.zip
Copy To Sd Or Phone Storage
Flash 3 Zip File Via Cwm Or Twrp
Flash First LolliViPER.zip Don’t Reboot Flash Viper4A-_Build.Prop-Tweaks_-CWM.zip Don’t Reboot Viper4A-_Soundfix-LibFiles_-CWM.zip
Clear Dalvik Cache And Cache
Reboot
Open Viper4Android Install Driver Prompt Yes When Ask For Driver Install
So if V4A will try to install the driver it will detect that busy box is not installed.... it will ask you to install. go and install busy box via V4A.... after the install the driver and reboot and voila !!! we have that ****in low budget Phone sound like a machine from hell !!!
all files needed can be found on the link you searched from google
I hope everybody understands what i mean feel free to ask ...
it took me about 8 hours to find the right way to set it up properly but respect goes to the one who wrote that tutorial found on google
It sounds like you still have Sony ric on your devices.
Sony ric makes the system read only. So any changes you make when in android will not be saved between boots.
Zips still work because those are installed via recovery.

you can use app like foldermount now
if play store has new version supersu , you can update app
but you can't install "binary" from app , it will damage system , if you do , you will find microsd size always 1GB max
so , how to install supersu "binary" , you only need use above step about flash twrp and install lastest recovery zip , after install lastest supersu zip file , on table you run supersu , it will not show any update "binary" request .
p.s. Onda Table Full Gapps Firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/onda-table-gapps-firmware-root-tutorial-t3462774
dual os tablet can use 64gb/128gb microsd card , you need use GUIformat to format to FAT32
dual os all can read/write it
if you have highspeed microsd compatible issue
I suggest you can buy speed < 50 mbps/s sandisk microsd
it work fine on onda tablet
on windows , you can use micorsoft official download win10 version to install
for example onda tablet , you need to do two things
1. backup driverstroe \ FileRepository , after reinstall new win10 , you can use device manager to find lose drivers .
2. backup \system32\drivers\sileadtouch.fw , you need to copy this touch location driver to new win10 .

Thank you so much for this detailed guide!
I am having some troubles at the line "fastboot flash boot boot.img": I get "FAILED (remote: Flash failure: Not Found)" on the computer, and "Failed to get partition [the_name]: Not Found" on the tablet screen.
Does anyone know something about this error?
Thanks!
Thanks you for the post! Any idea if I can use this same process to root RemixOS 2.0 on an Onda Obook 11 Plus? I downloaded the RemixOS .zip for the Obook 11 Plus from the Onda site and it seems like the contents are very similar to the process that you describe here...
Or - do you know if I can somehow "convert" the RemixOS partition to run stock Android 5.1? I know that they sell this same device with stock Android as well, but I didn't see an Android .zip file on the Onda site for this device - just the RemixOS .zip file...
Thank you!

Well, not so worried about root now. i already broke my new toy... Was messing with the BIOS brightness level settings (get get lower brightness in RemixOS) and accidentally set GOP Driver to "Disabled" in the BIOS - not I can't get ANY output on the screen or via the HDMI out.. Tried *everything* to try and reset it "blindly", but no luck.. If anyone has any ideas (like how to flash a new BIOS or reset it to defaults), please chime in! Frustrated...
Onda Obook 11 Plus.
Thanks.

Thanks - Yeah, I'm aware of that method to re-flash the BIOS, but I have 2 issues with that:
1. Trying to get the damn tablet apart without breaking anything (there isn't a single screw involved here). Considering the cheap materials used on these tablets to begin with, I'd be lucky to get it apart without breaking anything - and honestly, don't really feel like fighting it.
2. More importantly, the BIOS for this device is not available anywhere. The manufacturer has never released it. So if even if I did manage to get the device apart without breaking it, I'd have no BIOS file to flash anyway.
For what I paid for it, I'll write it off as a learning experience and move on. Truth is that I've found a much better device anyway (Chuwi HI10 Pro/Plus). The Onda was OK, but the Chuwi's are MUCH better devices.
But again, thanks for the info - I do appreciate it.

You can try going in to your bios and check boot mode to see if it says android or windows
I don't know where to start.
I have Cube iwork 8 air. Trying to root but where can i find bootimg which i have to unpack.
Unpacked twrp.img and found init.rc but cannot find line with class_start core, all i have is class_start default#. Is it place where i have to add start sysinit? Where exactly?
Can someone add those lines to file and ad here?
Please explain this as for total noob. Cause for me it looks too complicated like i should do something before which is not include in this tutorial.
Tried iroot, kingroot and this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096 method as well, no luck so far.
Thank You in advance.
You can boot Linux or Windows and make a dump of boot partition.

Hi,
I have the onda obook 10 boot.img. Unpacking goes on well including adding the lines instructed using the notepad ++. Repacking however produces the error "set_cmdline <>takes exactly 1 argument <6 given>".
What could I be doing wrong?
First - there is no need to quote the OP fully.
Please upload or attach the 2 original and your 2 changed files (and original boot.img), I will take a look.

I already answered you just above your post.
And again, please don't quote the WHOLE message, it is unneeded.
The excessive note on quoting is appreciated. I will take a look on the newbies guide. Attached are the original and modified files. The boot.img size is more than the limit allowed.
Here is the link on Google drive.

modified_files.rar contains no files.
My bad for that. I have it right now
Your changes to default.prop are OK. To init.aosp.rc not:
class_start core
+
+ start sysinit
+ service sysinit /system/bin/logwrapper /system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d
+ disabled
+ oneshot
While I did it like this:
+ start sysinit
class_start core
+ service sysinit /system/bin/logwrapper /system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d
+ disabled
+ oneshot
+ means added lines.
Does it work if you move "start sysinit" before "class_start core"?
Thank you for pointing that error. I modified but still have the same repack error. See the attachment
