Samsung 50% Coupon

One thing to note is that the pad does not come with a charger since it uses the 2A charger that comes with the phone. I'm anxious to see if the pad works with my Seidio surface case, particularly since it has the kickstand. Might have to get the non kickstand cover.

are these wireless inserts the same?

I picked up a nokia wireless charger, so now i need one of these inserts or back case.
I'm using my neohybrid case and i love it.
Ive read a lot of good things about "fone sales man ". Seems once you remove the sticker your golden and newer ones have that already done.
This is his for roughly $20.

They look roughly the same but one is half the cost. I wonder if they are exactly the same. Does Amazon warranty this stuff?

I use a Qi receiver/NFC antenna combo like this one, so I can use non-NFC extended battery while retaining NFC functionality. Same thickness. Got it from aliexpress and it took a few weeks (some Amazon seller are overseas too, so keep that in mind).

Wireless charger?

Does anyone know of or can recommend a nice wireless charging station for the S5? I'm glad the phone is dust/water proof, but messing with that micro USB cover my get old after a while. Plus, it could break off. I haven't used wireless charging since my Palm Pre days so I have no idea what's out.

There is a nokia charger the dt-900 I believe is the model number. I just ordered from AT&Ts website for 25 bucks. After reading reviews it seems most people agree its the best option for the price.

I've got 2 of them that I use on my Note 3 with wireless charging cover (1 at home, 1 at work) - they're both great.
I bought one off Amazon for ~$40 and another for ~$25 on some daily deal site. Well worth the investment to not have to futz around with cables.
Only thing I see so far is that Samsung isn't offering the wireless charging back for the S5 yet; with the Note 3, it took them a month or two after launch to put them online for purchase and even then, they were backordered.

I've got a close friend who works at the samsung experience shop within the local best buy and he had training last week on the s5 and its accessories. He said they are expecting the charging back in store within a week of launch. Good news is the first one that come in has my name on it so hopefully I dont have to contend with too much.

If you get a wireless charging back does it make the phone too thick for traditional 3rd party cases. What I want to do is get a wireless charging back plate and then put a case around the whole phone. Is that possible?

I had an S4 (and Note3) with wireless charging back covers and cases on both...SOME cases work.
For the S4, I was able to use Cruzerlite TPU cases with no problem. Any of the hard cases didn't work for me (Spigen) and I even tried the multi-piece cases (TPU + hard bumper) but the only ones that worked were Cruzerlite TPU.
In fact, I'm so sure that the S5 will work with Cruzerlite and a wireless charging back cover, I already bought a new case.

I'm gonna keep on the Best Buys for a wireless charging back and charger. Gonna get a white phone and black backplate. Mmmm sexy.

I'm only curious as samsung has the intention of providing this feature, i've been using wireless charging for a good 3+years with gs3, gs4, note 2 and now note 3, all without any problem.

It's samsung's way of making more money, i prefer a receiver insert, it's thinner and i've been using them with all my phones.
I will be picking a few up in the next few days in china, need to check what the quality is like.

Really??? I got one for my S4 and it was awful - so thick that the case bulged out in the middle of the back...so much that the phone didn't lay flat on the table anymore.
Even though the Samsung battery cover is a little thicker overall, at least it's symmetrical and doesn't look home-made.

I'm really thinking of ordering one off of eBay from Korea. It will be here a few days after I get the note edge from tmobile USA but I've had every note phone until now and the Samsung wallet case is always slow to be released here.. I don't want to carry the phone around completely unprotected.

Why don't they have one line Note 3-4 like with the window.

This is the position I am finding myself in right now. My phone is completely exposed, my flip wallet won't arrive till next week. I am petrified of even putting the phone in my pocket at the moment. I have already noticed a tiny mark on the chamfered edge - cant understand how it got scratched???

I have received my Flip wallet case today!!! It looks great on the phone, pure class! I am so relieved to have some protection on my phone finally.

It looks like the inside that faces the screen is vinyl or whatever the material is on the case, true? Won't that scratch the screen?

Very true. I returned mine today. For $40.00 USD it is not worth it. It looks too cheap in my humble opinion. For that price it really should be made from Leather not pleatherish vinyl

They made one for Note 4 so my guess they will. wireless charging back they already have in Korea which can be had on eBay but ill cost you $56.00 to get it here. $37+$19 shipping. I'm also waiting for flip wallet with wireless charging.

I need protection for the phone now, so I just bought the non-wireless charging flip cover for it using the Samsung 50% discount. The wireless charging version costs more than $50 anyway, so the coupon wouldn't work.
I'll just order the wireless charging version later.

S-View + Qi was great for Note 3. I only see it for Note 4, not an Edge variant (like the charging back and regular S-View are). I would think it would show up on Samsung or one of the Android sites, but not yet.

Pleased to report I have no further scratches on my phone.

OEM Qi Cover for Edge?

So as I have learned my Edge and the Note 4 share nothing but some specs, the back battery covers are different as are the batteries.
Does anyone know if there is a legitimate Samsung Qi battery cover for the edge out yet?
I can find this one for the Note 4 on their website (EP-CN910IBUSTA): http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EP-CN910IBUSTA
But nothing for the Edge. Ebay is littered with them, but I don't trust is if the samsung site doesn't have any.

Me too, but I'm highly skeptical if samsung.com doesn't have them yet... Any reason a 3rd party would have them before Samsung?
(This is my first samsung device, so have zero experience with them.)

Some of them on ebay are from Samsung . The reason is those are from Samsung Korea, which launched the device 2 months ago, so they have the cover available already

Samsung Korea site has them Those are what being sold on eBay. But for $37+$19 shipping is too steep. I'm sure Samsung US will start selling them pretty soon.

Works great. Had one on my S5 also. It does not come with the base but you should have fiend the Samsung 50% off coupon so you can get that for cheap. I'm using the Qi from my nexus 4

This is just the charging back cover, NOT the flip wallet cover, right?

Yes it's just a cover. Flip Qi is not released yet.

So I ordered the back plus pad on ebay and paid the $20 for shipping. Came in less then a week and after a full day I'm thrilled.
I picked up a qi mini from Best buy for $29 so I can have one at work and one at home.
It works great, and from all I can tell it feels OEM. Not only does the function rock, but it feels much more substantial. After having a HTC M7 and M8, this device felt really cheap. The new back cover greatly improves the form factor.
The back is slightly thicker, it's completely flush with the camera.
Highly recommended!!

Probably won't fit your car no matter what case it is. It makes it thicker. Its a hair thicker than being flush with the camera.

I know with my note 3, the only case I could use that fit like it was supposed to was a bumper case.
