WALKMAN Z Dump & Port Almost Working

I have managed to get most of the Walkman Z apps working on a FXP 120 7.2 rom which i used as a base. I used the dump to get apk's, libs, and permissions, and framework files. The rom is abit laggy than the original fxp rom, and some of the apps are abit slow, but all have incredibly smooth (but sometimes slow) transitions and animations
working list
music player - however, the layer force closes when you play a song.

favourites - unsure what this does
Launcher - i like the launcher, it is like a modded gingerbread launcher
wifi check
w. control
music unlimited
fm radio - hasnt been tested
unstable list
the music player force closes when playing a song, possible due to a lib file being missing.
the equaliser may also be unstable, and not working
the sd card is scanned at the very beginning, and will take a long time, depending on how many files you have on it.

Flashable rom for X10?

Is this made for CWM or xRec? coz CWM cant accept the old scripts xRec uses...

it's based on cm7 which uses cwm so i'm 99% sure you should flash it through cwm

Nice work, could it work on stock Rom ?

I tried flashing it through CWM 5 and xRec on kCernel , it got stuck at installing zip... is this normal? @[email protected]

sometimes it takes along time, just leave it abit, it will finish installing

works it on ICS 4.0.4 on a xperia neo v?

No man, in ICS only run Radio and DLNA... Sorry, I wont Walkman Z in my Ray too u.u

Anyone using Gimlo on Miro

hey is there anyone using Gimlo rom 0.2 on Miro?
is everything running ok?
actually im having certain issues.
1st it does not have the walkman app.
2nd i want the stock timescape.
3rd my phone does not detect adhoc networks anymore
4th the bottom led never works.
users please post your opinions.

Hey, I made that rom for Miro xD
- Walkman - Yeah, my mistake :\
- Timescape - Maybe in next versions of Gimlo. Ask Yokav.
- Adhoc - I don't know :\
- Bottom LED? Probably because you flash some mods for Tipo that probably has not those LED.

i using the gimlo 2.0 and its perfect that roma =) but as you say no and that includes player brings that brings several things but you have an advantage you can uninstall everything you do not like that comes by default for example I have the Walkman of xperia v mean the launcher from xperiaz etc .... You can customize it without losing performance that brings perfect =)

yeah please at least bring the option to select whether we want to install the timescape,walkman etc and make the led work please. it makes the phone look sexy
maybe you could release the gimlo 0.3 with all these things fixed. i mean "gimlo for miro" and not "gimlo ported to miro".

If you're looking for stability go for any stock based ROM in android development section & if you're looking for latest android version there are couple of roms with camera bug in original android section...

A ROM for Xperia E or script or anything that do not appear to exist LAG? When I open Facebook + facebook messenger is great LAGGGG barely move. Any recommendations?

I just use facebook.
Messenger eats up a lot of ram,so that's a no for me.
Make sure you greenify facebook after using it.

For stable use Stock JB, Stock JB based rom, Stock ICS based rom or Stock ICS . I use XboosT ROM. After using Facebook and messenger hibernate them with Greenify and TaaDaa don't have lag !!!

Best rom threads are not allowed on XDA

How to Flash:-
Note:
I Will Not Be Responsible For Any Brick or Any Problem.....So Flash At Your Own Risk. This ROM only flashes System & Data partitions and DOES NOT change anything else so chances of brick are 0 but still, please keep CWM Backup ready which will be used if you find issues in the ROM so that you can revert
STEPS :
1. Put the ZIP into the ROOT of External/Internal SD Card
2. Go to CMW Recovery
3. Wipe Data
4. Wipe Cache
5. Wipe System
6. Wipe Dalvik Cache
7. Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
8. Select the zip file and Select YES
9. If in CWM select OK
10. Reboot Your System

My isp has a cached server for google dell and samsung ftp...if there is any way u can get me the zip files i can upload em within minutes...
There was a time when i was a resident of Pune...buh am a proper Mumbaikar....had to come back lol....
Please do something to get this Xperia rom uploaded...i have a feeling that this rom wont disappoint.

could we have screenshots of the dialer, in-call screen, messaging app (with keyboard), storage (with usb otg connected), etc.? @mcd_legend too.
is the font the default of the rom? it says model c2305 (sony xperia c?), android version 4.4.2 and kernel version 3.4.5. is that ok?

I flashed this after the above steps directly from Stock 4.4
I am experiencing laging and also there is no camera app and some other things missing
any other one who flashed this from 4.4 ?
pls give me a solution

Alrighty....another review...
Flashed the rom a few hours ago...good battery back up so far.
Attaching a few screens to the post...
Rom starts with a Sony Logo then the Xolo and then the Xperia Boot animation.
Brilliant UI....version says 4.4.2 Kitkat...but somehow i still feel this is a Jellybean.
Message screen and in call screens attached....somebody please tell me the right dpi for it.
No lags so far...works very smooth.
Xposed module and gravity box totally functional.
Music player gets a boost thanks to viper.
Multi language support....including Indian languages.
Wifi and Tethering works flawlessly.
Settings throws an fc when we check for the rom update feature and im sure we know why that happens.
Doesnt allow u to choose which sim u wana call from....it only lets u select one particular sim for all ur calling and messaging needs.
Didnt check USB otg....somebody plz post the feedback.
Please check the screenshots.
Great Job !!! Will use this for a while now.

I was having kitkat 4.4.2,
then i flashed cwm recovery for kitkat (SP flash tool)
then i flashed rooted 4.4 rom by puduraj through cwm - till that everything fine, the rooted rom worked fine,
that rom was having carliv recovery, which not working. it loaded recovery but unable to browse the zip of rom to flash. it shows folders while browsing.
Then i flashed CWM through SP flash tool.
then flashed xperia z2 rom through cwm.
now problem coming, in the new rom there is no camera app. ( i tried then flashing the MIUI rom, that too have same prob)
i think it is bootloader problem.
I will try flashing this after flashing jellybean stock rom

Hi Avi,
Flashed the ROM yesterday.
CWM based recovery of JB didn't work. Tried the KK CWM based recovery and it worked for me. I was on Stock JB.
The ROM, I should say is good so far. The only issue I came across so far is that the phone (incoming call) didn't work. Screenshot attached.
Voice quality of the called person is very low. Image and video qualities are improved. Some apps can not be installed from storage, like Whatsapp, FB, Quickboot, updated version of SuperSU etc. External USB storage is functioning good. I have not tested other features and will be doing so very soon and report back.

This is very nice ROM. Am using this from yesteday. Compare to z3 style from this is bit lagging and the screen is not reverting while on call... other than every this working perfectly

A ZIP Containing Walkman (8.5.A.2.7) with a fully functional EQ, Album (6.6.A.0.6) and Movies (8.0.A.0.6). All working perfectly on the xperia z1 with any 5.0 Cyanogenmod based ROM. Realistically these apps should work on any phone running Lollipop but I have not tested so feel free to try on any other phone and let me know.

Thanks will try my best but we will have to wait for sony to release Lollipop as a lot of the apps are still not compatible with ART.

Anyone who experiences issues regarding signature verificayion make sure to toggle verification off in your respective recoveries.
