I have installed CM10 and CM9... Both work's fine in my motorola photon. But In mobile network showing "Error searching network". Don't know what to do? Now i have recovered to 2.3.5 now my mobile work's fine . Somebody please help to solve the GSM network error in photon.
i have one doubt is CM10 or CM9 is not support Airtel (india) GSM SIM card ?
IMEI also not displaying in About Phone ...
tell how to resolve this problem for IMEI and GSM India Fix

.. m getting a network problem... i have notice this is happening if i use my phone for sometimes network goes and come and unable to use internet and difficult to make call as well as the nework is going and coming....
Are u using stock rom? Rooted?? Etc give some more details so that others can help you.
And I faced the same problem with my previous service provider docomo. So I changed to reliance network...

im on ICS Stock Rom now.. and i flash JB with sp flash tool but still same problem... phone not rooted
i tried on different sim (Reliance, Airtel, Aircel) but still the same problem:crying::crying:

After rooting your Alcatel 985D , you can use this custom rom
by flashing it using recovery mode and install zip from sd card

i m using alcatel 985d/idea aurus dual sim .
1) if i m using both same network operator sims (sim1 idea+sim2 idea) then result = no or very low netwrork with sim2 idea n notifies "restricted access changed.
if using sim1 idea and 2nd sim other network(videocon) result=ok network both.
2)wen i switch network mode to 2g network of sim1 is also goes very low or 0.wen switched to auto mode network is ok.
though i m using 2g network..
plz help how to use both idea sims with full network bars. i already used signal booster for rooted bt =0 result.
i think solution is with rom.
plz suggest any solution

I have been trying a few custom android kit kat roms on my Moto G xt1033 and everything works great except the fact that my sim card isnt registered by the device, it has that 4 bar logo in the status bar but has no bars and is just a triangle and in the drop down menu it says no connection. My SIM is an Amaysim but sometimes on phones it will come up as YES OPTUS.
Please help and if anyone in australia/global would know how to fix or has this problem please dont be afraid to help as it is unfortunate for me now that i have to run stock 4.4.2 to have a working sim.

amaysim works on the Optus network, it should show amaysim when updated.
Request a new SIM from amaysim if it's an old one, it's free. You can do it from your amaysim account.

its not that its a problem with the roms themselves like for some reason it doesnt work with them it gets picked up but no data signal but if i put back to stock 4.4.2 it works fine. The xt1033 model that australia only has is a dual sim version. I just want one sim working as i only use one.
i just need something for it to pick up a data signal, it doesnt even know what network to connect to in data settings.
someone else must have this issue.

I got a jio sim 10 days ago but i was getting no service in my moto g3 and then i put that sim in samsung phone, it got activated and i was able to place calls on Samsung device but then i put it back in moto g3 and again its showing no service.
I thought the sim was faulty but today i got the new sim card from jio and it was again showing No service so i put it again in Samsung phone and was able to place calls. The problem is the jio sim isn't showing any service in my phone only.
I have tried flashing Reseruction remix 6.0.1, stock lolipop rom and also cm12 but i am not getting any service at all.
Please help me.

Bro make sure the barcode u used to collect to sim is must be generated from the phn ij which u r going to use the jio sim..or u hav to registered via ur imei for working jio sim....
I felt same problem...cos i tookba codr from one of my frnds but i got no signal like u...but then i use old jio apk and genrated code successfully from my g3 using stock imei...(previously i tried the imei from which the barcode generated but not works)....then got a new sim by biometric id thru adhar card number.....activated within 5 mins and got all msgs quickly.....

bro they didnt ask for any bar code , they just asked for my imei number and the sims are working in all other handsets except Moto G3. Actually my model number is XT1541 (UK 1gb edition) . I guess its 4g band doesnt work in india. I flashed stock MM too but still i am not getting any signal
hi , i also want to share my experience..
i got motoG3, i ported my sim to JIO
now i put the sim in Slot1 , i dont know why that didnt work.. ( i didnt get signal like you )
but when i changed it to Slot2 it started working...
maybe the reason is : i ported my sim which is in 2nd slot.. any kind of IMEI thing is stopping me to use that JIO sim in Slot1

Jio 4g bands are Band 3 (1800Mhz), Band 5 (850Mhz), Band 40 (2300Mhz).....but according to gsm arena i just saw ur lte bands are not matching to jio's ones....so i think in xt1541 u will get no signal

Actually my phone is single sim and i just came to know that my modek doesnt support jio LTE band , So i might probably sell this phone.

1. This is the wrong thread to post this.
2. The file you downloaded is stocks-modified, to restore stock, use firmware flashing guide by lost101 in general section.
3. All the information is properly documented there, make sure to search and read the posts before doing anything. Likely any query that you may have is already answered, if not, you an ask in that thread.

In my mob Jio doesn't work at home but when I go around city it works fine. Model is xt1550.
Strangely it works good at home on my brother's Samsung mobile.
I guess it's frequency problem, may be.
I thought moto mobile's signal reception would be good but unfortunately I got deeply disappointed.
