Need Help with GSM network

hey !
recently i activated a 3G plan , and to use it i would obviously go to WCDMA/GSM , and the 3g worked fine , but then when i try to switch over to GSM i would have problems and my phone would go into emergency calls only , ! . it tried my SIM in another phone it worked fine , and then when i would put the sim back to my phone it would work for a while and then the same error would occur

have you had flashed other country's firmware, maybe it is happening because of modem

NOPE using airtel in india .. and reflashed the stock DDKT3 ROM.. also tried custom ROM's :/

Your motherboard has been corrupted i bet on it. I also got the same problem when i was using LTE, in gsm mode it works fine but not in 3G . Get your device repaired at service center if you have warranty.

LOL i meant 3G .. !!
It all started when i put a LTE sim in it,but then there was no network. Randomly i used 3G network and still i was facing problem,so it might be that the problem arose from LTE sim ..

well . i tried another sim of the same service provider, and the 3g was working fine ( in my phone its not working ) also will check GSM Services in some time and let u knw .. also .. is the Hardwarae for GSM / WCDMA the same or different ?

Yeah it's the hardware problem bro

let me check with another sim .. hope its not a hardware problem!!
update:- . A sim from another carrier is working fine .. even the GSM services .. guess something is wrong with my sim or network!! anyways switching over to Vodafone !!

[Q] does any custom rom lock my phone from service provider

heloo every one
i have indian samsung galaxy ace gt s5830
i want to install custom rom on my phone
does any custom rom lock my phone from service provider
my phone is running on stock gb 2.3.6 ddkq8
and it allow me to use any network provider.

if this is what you are saying, then the answer is no. flashing roms have nothing to do with network carriers. i mean, you need to have the phone unlocked to root but flashing roms doesn't lock/unlock.

yes i have an unlocked phone which work with every network like vadafone, bsnl and many others.
and my phone is rooted as well.
now could i install custom roms on it without any trouble with network

[Q] Urgent Help

i've lost my 3g connection , the Edge/2g also , my phone says , Incorrect APN every time , it was warking great and stopped just like that , for no reason , it's not a rom problem cause i tried many and the problem is the same , i deleted the apn settings , reputed them manually , automatically , nothing worked , i've seen that it happened to many htc owners but no one gives a solution , i'm gowing in holidays and i need my 3g connection , help please :crying:

Hi, have you try to contact your carrier/ service provider?
Maybe there is an update so they can give you the correct settings for your APN.
Or how about the billing? Is there any possibilities you forget to pay the bill?

I did put the setting manually . I contacted tge provider and nothing worked.and there's no bill to pay it's saying apn incorrect.it doesen't evene connect to the network

[Q]Samasung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 Not Registered on Network

hey guys im new here
and needed some urgent help
i just purchased a used note 2 today N7100(unlocked international)
it was on version 4.1.1 official samsung
i flashed with odin to 4.3 indian stock rom.
now the phones working but the sim card is not registered on the network. it says emergency calls only.
i checked the phone its not at all black listed and the guy from whom i purchased was using it with his sim in it.
it cozed issues only after i flashed it to 4.3. also this is a phone from dubai as the guy told me.
the imei no is showing still but the network wont get registered. plz help asap!! thanks in advanced.

have you tried using other sims? maybe its not compatible with your specific sim.
maybe you just dont have any coverage, when i get the "not registred on network" message, it usualy means i'm underground, or in a place with low cell coverage, like in the woods or mountains.

The phone is factory unlocked so no issues related to not compatible and I tried with another sim too. Still the same problem. The problem only came when I flashed the 4.3 Indian stock rom. But that rom doesn't have any problem coz I've used on other note 2 too. Something related with the phone.

Hi there if you go into settings and then about device and then status you will be able to see if you have a service state if you don't have any but the network operator appears as well as signal stats. You most likely have a black listed iemi or something happened to the iemi when flashing the rom or more simple is the sim slot is broken. Hopefully you will be able to fix it sorry I can't give you that much help on this subject.

propably your efs is corrupted, ALWaYS BACKUP EfS BEFORE DOING REFLASH!

Lte not working

Hi I have a samsung galaxy s6(sm-G920F) on 5.1.1 non rooted, the problem i am facing is that the lte stopped working without any reason, i didnt drop it neither i updated anything it just stopped working now i only see the E sign on the network bar, i couldn't find any answer for this so any help is appreciated

Why did you create 2 threads for the same issue?
Anyways, what data network mode did you select? It should be LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto connect.

Hey there.i m sure these senior members will help u out on this one.i had a similar problem after updating to os 5.1.1 and using it for some time on my s6 the 4g LTE icon suddenly disappeared and never came back.I tried using 3g i could not even get the 3g icon.All i could get was the E or Edge icon when turned on the mobile data.I made sure there's nothing wrong with my network.Both of my sims are working fine with 4g and 3g on another handset.I hv been using it at the same place.Tried to search this issue on internet but with no luck.I hope u ppl.help me and this guy out.I hv tried different settings.All of my settings are same as in my other handset.No issue with the settings or the firmware.I m totally blank now what to do.Kindly help me on this one.Could not find a better place to put my question.Any technical help would be really appreciated.

Maybe you can flash your old radio from previous rom where LTE works? Did you try flashing roms before it happened?

I tried flashing the same rom 5.1.1 but no luck :/
Ite was working on the same rom as i didnt updated or did anything
Suddenly it disappeared :/
The same problem mentioned above by john_sparrow
As i cant downgrade from 5.1.1
