Notification for Touchdown mail - Sony Smartwatch

Hi!
I use Touchdown mail on my phone but I haven't found a really good extension to show incoming mail on my smartwatch 2. Today I'm using smartwatch2 notifier pro but I would like to be able to read the hole mail on my watch. Anyone using Touchdown with a smartwatch that have solved this?

Touchdown comes with its extension. You don't need to install 3rd party applications.

Yes but I'm not happy about that notification. It only show the first unread mail good. If I have two or more it just says 3 unread mail. I would like to see at least the description of all mail.
I have mailed touchdown support about this and they will add it in the future, when that is only they know. It was a while ago that I send them this request.

As far as I remember, the email content was accessible from the watch. Maybe there is a setting.
Sorry I cannot confirm because I don't have touchdown installed at the moment.

[Question] Read Emails from the native Email Client from Samsung

Hey,
I read a lot in this forum, but I do have a question, I can not answer by myself...
Is it possible to read Emails on the Watch, which i receive in the Email Client on my Samsung (Note2) phone? I do not mean the Gmail App, but the native Email Client.
I hope I was able to make clear what I mean, my Engish is not the best.
Thanks for any help...

Just download an email reading smartwatch app from the play store. Sony has both an email and a Gmail apps available, so make sure to get the right one.
Try Augmented Smartwatch from the Play Store. It allows you to send any notifications from any Android phone directly to your watch, and even customize fonts, colors, and have longer messages shown across multiple screens. I use it for everything. Just configure it in settings to send you alerts from Samsung's email app, and any other alerts you'd like to see on your watch. As far as reading the whole email, I'm not sure this is possible, but you can certainly see the sender, subject, and the first few lines on most apps.

Just to be clear: english isn't my mother language, so...
I got my Smartwatch last friday. Started to play with it, and installed augmented smartwatch from google play store.
It works like a charm with my galaxy note II, but I had to disable all the TTS engines (google's and samsung's), even talkback, to get all whatsapp notifications on the watch (with sender and message). Also had to download sqlite3 from playstore, because the sqlite version embedded on my rom didn't work properly.
It's a known bug and even samsung's engineers say are working on.

For this case you can use an specific app for smartwatch (you can have stock samsung email app on your phone and another one just for your smartwatch) you can try Mail Notification it claims to let you read the whole email on the smartwatch.
I preffer just notifications that Watchit! (as augmented) show to me from any app I want and is pretty cool but these are just notifications not all the text is prompted.
Another option is not so good but actually works for what you want (if you want just the samsung email app) use AppWidgetDisplay and add into it the samsung email widget to show it on your watch (but text is not as readable as you will wish).
Another sugestion (if notifications are not enough), is better to use another email aplication as K9 mail (works perfect and is much better than stock one) this app have an smartwatch app to notify.

[Q] mms?

I just bought a Nexus 5 two days ago and I will not be getting a sim card for this phone. I am just going to be using this phone to call over wifi and text over wifi. I have already set up a Google Voice number and everything to do it with. I just had one question. IK Google voice won't support it but is there an app I can get or something that will allow me to send and recive pictures or videos to/from my contacts. Please reply quickly because the Nexus 5 is probably going to be here in a couple of days!
Thanks for posting a question in the general thread. On top of that not searching either. This has been answered plenty of times.

If your contacts use Hangouts, then you can just share via Hangouts which comes pre-installed on the phone. Otherwise, you'll need to use the same service as your friends if you want to send pictures over WiFi (WhatsApp, Viber, etc.)

ok thank you so much. Unlike the other guy who was being a complete di**
Right now some third party apps like sliding messenger can do mms and testing through your gvoice number. Your real issue will be when Google pulls that api next year.

[Q] default Email App witgh imap no attachment

Hey,
I have a problem wit my nexus 5 an default andorid email app.
I'm using imap for receiving emails.
When ever I get an email wit an attachment, there is no paper clip and no way to see / open the attachment.
If I check these mails via webmail or PC my attachment are there.
But, if I do send me an email via gmail or default email app, on my phone, with a attached picture, I can see that picture in default andorid email app.
If I use k9 for receiving Emails I get all my attachments..
Anyone else with this problem?
Thx
Hello!
I have the same problem.
Anybody found a solution for this?
Except, of course, the one using K9 or else.
Thank you

Reported Post: [Q] How Many Of You Guys Use The Samsung Stock Messenger App?

I actually quite like the app (except for the fact that it sends a long text into separate messages, unlike textra that kept it all together. ) It's fast and I like how they implemented quick reply. This may be the first time that I've wanted to keep the stock messenger app rather than trash it. So how many of you guys kept the stock app or did you end up replacing it with your favorite?
I'm using mysms, it allows me to send messenges from my tablet and my PC as well
In using Google messenger. Very similar to the Samsung one but just has the edge

Yes I'm finally using stock too. They finally nailed it ? well almost ?
Sendt fra min SM-G920F med Tapatalk
im on stock as well ,
anyone knowhow to make it notify you on every new message ?
if you have a chat going and stay on that screen it doesn't notify you of a new message. annoying at times
Textra all the way, baby.

just installed textra and liking it , is there a way to display the small contact photo beside each message you send and receive like in stock messenger ?
I love stock, but I'm using Disa cause I uninstalled Facebook and the Messenger. The integration in Disa is great. No quick reply though which sucks.
I kinda miss textra, but I might suggest they borrow samsungs quick reply. Its less intrusive while playing games and it also doesn't force auto rotate.
After years of hearing about it, I'm using chompSMS, because combined with my Pebble and Pushbullet, I have a unified, synchronized notification system across all three platforms.
Questions belong in Q&A, not General.
Thank you.

Good mail app

I have problem. I try k9 mail klient and blue mail client. I try to set that they check every 10 min new e-mail updates from imap email server. Seems to be that it is not working.
Now i instal outlook but same problem in Oneplus 6. Is there any good solutions?
AquaMail is best IMHO. But I use push, dont know about your Problem.
I'm using this app for a few years: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trtf.blue
Also tried other but came back, it's user friendly with multiple email addresses.
Aquamail for me.

I recently downloaded Nine but is there a feature to support priority notifications like the one in gmail? I don't want to get notifications for every single emails e.g. promotions , social etc.
Yes. Just add your priority email - by domain or specific email id - under VIP. Then set Notification specifically for the Vip and you are set.

Aquamail is great, I use it for years.
I always try new mail clients but I always ends up with aquamail.
Regards ysco..
I'm using K-9 Mail App for years now, and I'm still in love. I'm very sure, the issues you have are provider-wise, not caused by K-9 itself. I doubt, that any other Email client will do any better here. Be sure to enable third party programs in your email provider's settings and check the correct IMAP adress again.
Aquamail is the best by far. It's been almost 5 years since I'm using it.
don't think and use email by edison software. feature rich and sleek UI.
Blue mail works perfectly for me bon my OnePlus 6. I use it since it works flawlessly with exchange as well as imap. Issuing it for years with no issues
aquamail been using it for years
I use Boxer myself, very solid app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boxer.email
AquaMail is the best I've tried every single other mail app and nothing is better than AquaMail. Bluemail is also good.
My favorite mail app so far is "AquaMail".
The only thing is that it does not have black theme with white text and white icons.
I'm also one for aquamail.
I use K-9 Mail, I like it.
For Aquamail, I had a look and essential features are need require the paid version... $7 is a little too much for just testing, K-9 Mail is free.
