USA Help - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to find someone here in the states that has purchased an OPO from a reseller and is successfully using it on AT&T. I'm trying to find out what model you got, did it come with cm11s, and what was your price including customs. I'm so far back in the invite list (53420) it will be next year before I get an invite. I have tried to research for this info in the threads but most of the owners are overseas. I will appreciate any feedback.

You can look here to see which LTE bands various networks use: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks#Americas
AT&T, along with most other networks in America use band 4 and 17 which are the two bands the Chinese one plus one doesn't support, compared to the international one.
He're is a comparison of the bands for the international One Plus compared to the Chinese One Plus:

Essentially you need the international version of the One Plus if you reside in North / South America or Canada, unless you happen to be on a GSM network.

[Q] OnePlus One In Canada - Which Providers Will Work?

Hello All,
I just got invited to purchase a One yesterday, but I am not sure what providers/carriers I am able to use it with in Canada. I was wondering if anybody had one and could tell me who it will work with or knows who it will work with. The providers that I am looking at are:
-Telus
-Rogers
-Bell
-Koodo
-Fido
-Virgin Mobile
Any and all information is appreciated.
Thanks,
Graeme
if its unlocked, then it should work with all, as they all use the same spectrum,
P.S mind sending an invite your neighbours way
OK so first thing first, koodo, Fido and virgin mobile is owned by one of the big 3, so if the phone works on the big 3 it will work on them.

Now that is right from OnePlus One, so the only carriers I don't think will work, is carriers like wind, mobilicity, and companies like that

Change modem to get different bands

Hey guys,
I have this D821 which doesnt have the bands for LTE that my country has. The one that works with the LTE bands here is the D820.
Now, I also have a smashed D820 laying around, with a cracked LCD and I believe the motherboard is not working well either. But I have used the battery, and the audio jack to replace the ones on my D821.
I was wondering if it would be possible to change some of the internals from one phone to the other in order to be able to get LTE bands here.
I found this photo of the Nexus Internals

Do you guys know which part I would need to change in order to be able to get LTE bands? Or if this even possible? Anyone has done something like this before?
Sorry for the poor english.

No Bixby for international variant

I was discussing pros/cons of buying dual sim variant with local BB Samsung Experience rep. In addition to giving up carrier specific features he told me dual sim only available in international model, and it would not have Bixby???

Yup, it'll take some time to get it ready for all the European accents. We will get it some months after release I imagine. Europe often gets features later than the US and Asia. It was the same deal for Samsung Pay. Even Google do it, they rolled out Google Assistant in the US but it's not here in the UK yet. Should be soon enough.
We will get it, just not at launch. People will have to be patient.
Bixby is on international phones. Local language support isn't

unlocked on VZW

Does the unlocked version work on Verizon? Specifically 5G. I've seen some stories say yes and some say no.
I currently have a 6T and want to upgrade.
It works like all 1+ from your 6T onward. So far only 4G. Even though VZW turned on the (Nationwide) NSA low bands n2 n5 n66, the phone doesn't connect to them in 5G mode.I verified that it is currently running on band 66. It will likely never connect to n260 or n261 UW bands as it doesn't physically have the antenna like the custom 1+8 for verizon does.
I turned on the NR via the dialer using *#*#4636#*#* as 5G is not available in the regular network settings. A tech told me there is a specific 5G sim so that's still a possibility. I only swapped the previous sim in from a Pixel XL. If someone gets to that hopefully they'll post up or if I ever get a new one from VZW I'll chime in.
