[Q] landscape orientation issue - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have noticed that when I put the phone in landscape, for example in chrome, the on-screen nav buttons disappear and mash into this weird looking thing that only presses home. I can't navigate webpages with the back button, nor access recent apps. Anyone else have this?

How to flip screen

So I've got PocketGBA installed, and it runs much smoother than Morphgear. The problem is, that when you set it to run in landscape, which is known as "vertical" mode for some reason, the screen is upside down. So you'd have the keyboard out, but the games run upside down.
Is there anyway to fix this, or a program to set screen orientation temporarily or whatever?
Thanks
I actually just play it that way, leaving the keyboard slid out on the top and assigning the keys.
Assigning keys this way is wierd, because with the keyboard open the onscreen buttons are off. So what I do, is with the keyboard closed... select your first key to assign, then slide the keyboard open and press a button.
You should see the button press take. To continue, close the phone then select another onscreen button to assign, open keyboard and press the selected physical button to map it.
Do this for all the required button assignments, opening and closing the keyboard each time. Once your done you shouldn't have to do it anymore.
Then just play with the keyboard open, with the screen facing you.
A fix would be nice though, but I don't know if the author of PocketGBA is still around or is the source is even available any more. It seems that there isn't an interest in working emulators for PocketPCs anymore. The ones we have are YEARS old and are bug prone. Finding the right Emulator is finding one that has bugs you can live with.

I don't think that will work. It is the PocketGBA software that rotates the screen. Even if you forced the screen to display the orientation correctly, I think the program will have all the touchscreen interface offset (just like what happens when you open the keyboard). I will try it though.

MS 3 problem - buttons and scrolling stops working

Car mode - huge navbar overlay

Is anyone else annoyed with the way Samsung modifies nav bar in the car mode? It shows 2 huge buttons - menu and back, hides recent button. But most importantly, it overlays some apps, making any action for those apps in the same area virtually useless, i.e. in waze i can no longer press the "trip details" button since it's overlayed with the back button.
Is there any known solution to this?

Home button/gesture goes to folder?

Hello!
I'm using the default launcher. Home button and home gesture takes me to the folder of the app I'm leaving, and not all the way to my home screen.
Going home from apps that are directly on the home screen works as expected.
This is mindblowingly annoying. Is there a setting somewhere to get this to behave as on stock Android?
Best regards /
Fredrik
Have you found anything on this? I totally agree. This home button behavior is terrible. Back button and home button become the same function in this scenario. I have checked all possible settings I could think of and can not solve it.

A BACK BUTTON appears while Typing. Can't chat in Clash of Clans!!

Hello, sir. I am in Android 11 and have the latest Google Keyboard app. A back button appears at the bottom of my screen. It creates trouble while in landscape mode. I use Gesture Navigation option so no back, home, recent button. I like to view in full-screen. Please see the attached picture. It takes a lot of space and can't type so well. I am not used to type like that.
