Not the Xfinity TV app, but the new Xfinity TV player app.
I have an Acer iconic A100. Comcast says it works. Google says it should work and they have no idea why the Play store says it is incompatible. So I am trying to get the apk to side load.
I have it on my Evo 3d and it works great on it. But I want the larger screen.
I would also like this too, as I live in the uk and have a us proxy and am using a family members account from the usa.
My Xfinity Play app asks for superuser permissions at start up. Fyi. Anyone know why?

Has anyone tried to purchase TV episodes through the Google Play store or through the Play TV & Movies app? I noticed that when I search for TV episodes in the play store on my One X, no TV shows are returned in the search results. I also noticed that if I select a "featured" TV show through the Play TV & Movies app, there is no option to purchase a TV show episode. I contacted Google Play support about this and I have an open ticket, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this issue on an AT&T HTC One X?

have you installed the play store apk that came from jellybean? You need that.
Thanks, I didn't realize that I need Jellybean(or components thereof) to purchase a TV episode from the Play Store though. I'm not sure how that makes sense for Google to cripple the ICS version of the Play Store. Google is saying that anyone who doesn't have Jellybean can't purchase TV show episodes?

I have both a Galaxy Skyrocket and a Nook HD. I recently noticed that on both devices, the play store app is unable to connect to only the music section. I can browse apps/movies/etc, just not music. Weird that it is happening the same on both devices.

Also, both devices are running CM11. When I click on music, get "Connection timed out" error message.
Where I live recently switched its cable service to Breezeline. The new install includes TiVos with MoCA and the ability to install the Breezeline TV App on mobile devices to download recordings (on your local network only).
The problem is their app is incompatible with a lot of my devices. Attempting to sideload it on my Fire HD 8 (7th gen) failed.
Has anyone played around with this app or have a suggestion for another app that might provide the same function?

EDIT: Got sick of things not installing or updating. Rooted my Fire and installed LineageOS 15.1 and the Breezeline/TiVo app now installs and runs. Woohoo.
