[Q] Mini-Laptop: Keys combination for Recovery Mode - General Questions and Answers

Hallo,
I have a China-made Mini-Laptop with WM-8880-MID SoC-chip and Android 4.2.1, factory rooted.
In the moment I can't start the system on this device.
Could anybody give me a tip, which keys combination must I apply to start the device in Recovery Mode ?
On the WEB I have found a lot of keys combination therefor, but for the phones only.
My device is no phone, but a Mini-Laptop with the solid keyboard, I attach a picture of it.
Many thanks for your answers in advance.
Regards - Robert

Well as i see there is no one answering me the question....
I found my own solution:
Hard Reset:
On the 02 Orbit2, make sure the phone is powered on and then press AND HOLD the Windows and OK buttons down at the same time, THEN use your stylus to press AND RELEASE the reset button (while you CONTINUE to hold down the Windows and OK buttons). You should get a grey-ish/white screen explaining how to complete the hard reset or how to cancel the operation.
If you cannot see anything on your screen due to the OS being totally messed up (in other words, as long as it's not hardware failure), then you need to put your device into bootloader mode (4-color screen) so that you can flash the ROM (either what you already are using, or a newly cooked one - either way you need to have a ROM image file on your computer to complete the flashing process).
Bootloader Mode:
To enter bootloader mode, press AND HOLD the camera button and then press AND RELEASE the soft reset with your stylus. When the screen is showing the 4 color bands, plug in the USB cable between your computer and phone flash the ROM.
Click to collapse

[Q] Device locked, no ADB, how to access recovery

Hi,
I cheaply acquired a China 7"-tablet (Amoi Q50). Unfortunately, it is has a lockscreen activated and ADB not active. The former owner claims to having forgotten, anyway, he does not want to help...
The plan is now to access recovery and wipe user data. But...
I feel I tried every hardkey combo to access recovery, but any hint would be valuable and I will try again. (I have Power, Vol+, Vol- and a small reset knob on the back). I managed to access Android safe mode with Vol- during pwer up, but that has the lockscreen as well.
Is there a software (PC-side) way to access recovery mode or to wipe all user data without ADB active?
Would it help to force the tablet into download mode (like in Google?q=how-to-save-a-bricked-phone-with-paper-clips-and-pencil-graphite; yet I would use resistors)? What would I do then?
Help appreciated

[Q] Eken t02/t02a equivalent stuck in boot, can't access recovery mode

Bmorn V11, Goclever A73, Eken T02, Aldi Minitab, MyAudio Tablet Series 7, ASK 748SP at the very least look the same and are probably the same tablet. So much so that I ordered a Bmorn touchscreen for my ASk tablet and it worked. ...until I factory reset it from settings a few weeks ago, since then it started freezing up ocasionally and now I get stuck at one of the 3 boot logos but I never see it boot all the way. I hope it's not hardware failing.
I found a button behind the microphone pin-hole after trying vol + and power + home and the like for hours. Can someone please tell me how I get into what i presume is called recovery mode ? I tried pushing that hidden button with the power button, but it doesn't work. Is there even a recovery mode for this device ?
Someone claims there is no recovery mode and vol + and power should work ? So what's the deal with the button behind the mic hole ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406429 "The device was strangely rooted when I bought it from the retailer. The instruction manual strangely says to boot into recovery mode by holding Vol + and the power button. I called the support company and they said that a recovery needs to be installed first. Using Root Explorer there is no recovery folder. (/recovery) - is there supposed to be?"
I'm on linux, do I really need windows to flash this ? If I fail, can I try again ? I used to get along computers really well, but android is currently totally confusing me. I found several images that might work, but I really don't mind trying out unofficial images. If I can try them one by one I'll figure it out eventually, but I'm afraid I might brick it or something. I've read about flashing bootable SD cards, but I guess that won't work here ? Nor will the images that are supposed to be flashed to an SD card work ?
I guess I'll have to bet on an image and find a Windows (I'm on Linux) machine and the rest is trial and error ?
Is there a page somewhere I could read to figure out the basics ? I feel really confused by all of this. Thank you !
I also found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23769918&postcount=3 which explains how to flash this, but maybe i don't need to go through that if there is a recovery mode ? And it also seems like those instructions are for t01, and it doesn't involve that hidden button at all. I guess this isn't what i need, right ?
I guess this should work:"Turn off your tablet.
You will find upgrade button located in microphone hole on the right side of your device. Press this button using e.g. paper clip. Next connect your device to your PC while
holding upgrade button" (http://www.goclever.com/data/upload..._d4d0bde076ab401d6cb98bb1b77713165b6ffb11.pdf).
I can't turn off my tablet. All I can do is force it to quit by holding the power button for 5 seconds, is that enough ?
I managed to get adb and although lsusb lists the device, I can't connect to it with adb. After a minute or two lsusb doesn't show the device anymore either. Do I need to have debugging enabled or something ? I was hoping to reset it with
Code:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data

[Completed] [Q] Elebest EL-H700

Hi there
I have been given a project and I cant for the life of me get it to work. It is an Elebest EL-H700 . Basically its an android tablet that you mount to your rear view mirror and has a rear facing camera on it. It also has built in sat nav apps and the like. My friend has tried to install something on it and now it is stuck in the recovery menu. Only trouble is that in order to exit/navigate in any recovery menu stock or cfw you need volume keys to navigate up and down then an enter button(usually home button). Only trouble is there are 5 buttons on it.....mute, gps, power, dvr and home button only trouble is any button I press just cycles it to reset and back to recovery menu as its the top option in the menu. There is obviously something fundamentally wrong with the device as it keeps cycling to recovery menu. So after that long winded description of my woes, can anybody tell me if they have encountered such a device and how to restore it to factory state???, or, any type of flasher and stock rom for me to attempt said reset on my pc
please help
regards
Daddynene
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Sorry man, but as you probably already know there is nothing on XDA about this device. Infact there is very little on the internet about it. You're going to be on your own on this one.
