so the right side of my screen is not working in one spot from top to bottom. If I push my Vol down or even squeeze the side under the Vol button it will select a widget. Does anyone know why it might be doing this or if it's an easy fix Or not. I got a app from the market that test's where you touch the screen and were it's not working it says I'm touching it on both sides of where I am touching it. It also shows the screen freaking out when I push on the right side

Sounds like digitizer is fail. Not a simple fix but can be done. Warranty or insurance ? Use it.
Thanks so that should be a warranty issue VZW should replace at no cost I'm assuming?
Edit: yup warranty issue new phone in a few days

So my phone wasnt locked into its holster and slipped out :crying:
I checked it and there was no cosmetic damage and the screen wasnt cracked or anything but I think my home button got smashed in a little bit
its almost seemless with the rest of the phone...anyone else like this or is this just how the phone is?

ok just making sure because I saw another pic and it looked like the home button was out more
yeah, mines pretty flush also. Looks ok to me. Ive never dropped mine
Yea my PB is just about flush but my wife's white one is raised some. Probably just a manufacturer flaw in them

Yeah my pebble blue home button sits flush as well and I was worried about this too when I saw a white demo unit with a slightly raised one. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind it sitting a little higher.

So I have a minor touch screen which is a strip near the top of my phone that is completely unresponsive. I have seen somewhere that this may be caused by a loose connector to the motherboard where not all pond are making proper contact. Is this possible? Should I try to open the phone up and reconnect the connector? Thanks in advance.

Does the issue persist on all ROMs you flash? Does it persist in recovery? If you answered yes to those you're dealing with a hardware fault. You can try investigating yourself, but be aware it can be tricky getting this phone open and you could do more damage.

Yes it happens in any ROM and recovery so its definitely a hardware problem. If I knew there was a possibility that could be the problem I would take the risk using a YouTube video and the correct tools.

People constantly complain they cannot hear me and I have to talk loudly.. I haven't tested it yet on the other end. But is if a software or hardware issue?..

I have a similar issue too, but then I noticed that it's because of how I hold the phone. It may be the case that your finger or palm is covering up the microphone.

Others have experienced the same issue, including me. I found that switching my rom to Cataclysm fixed the problem completely. The other thread is here :

I have just received a refurbished nexus 5 and i noticed a rather distracting blemish on the screen under the glass (on the status bar to the left of the wifi icon), it's not a solid colour so i don't think it's dead pixels, it's more of a shadow and it's barely visible when the phone is in landscape but flip the phone portrait and there it is.
I have never seen anything like it before so it would be interesting to find out what it is and if i can fix it easily myself.
Sent it back and get another

It's a defect, don't waste your energy trying to explain it further. Send it back for a new one.

I have been waiting a few weeks now for the place i bought it from to get in some new stock but they haven't as of yet.
It would have been nice to know what the defect is and if it's easy to fix so i know if it's worth taking it in for repair
