Viper4Android is nowhere near as good as Beats that's on Sense. It's barely better than the stock DSP manager.
I have test the Viper4Android for 5/6 Hours whit diferent profiles and its like 3~6% better than the AOSP Stock Sound, Beats its Beats, but we have to use what we have, its possible port Beats from sense build so CM build? i think it is because in the HTC One X have some beats mods to AOSP and CM, but i dont have experience and no time to try

I have been trying to cook a rom but i have no idea what to cook. I am very familiar with everything.
Can someone please help me generate some ideas?
Easy, check the Dev forum here for the S4G and cook something no one else has.
Instant success.
I'd like to see some of the better parts of Sense (I really like the weather lock screen and the Friend Stream widget) blended with CM. Just a general idea.

+1 like sense camera with Miui or cm7 rom would be absolutely great. Maybe even Rosie. Combine sense and cm7 /Miui. Beats, or something that really boosts headphones volume while maintaining/boosting audio quality.
Port TouchWiz over
Port a xperia build.

Just download a equalizer. That's what I did.

Idk if the kernel is close enough for modification. I'll try it though but probably fail.

People in development section said the same thing but I'm not sure if it possible to mix them like that. A lot of the other and better cookers would have already done it.

I'm talking about trips Miui. Equalizers and such don't work very well.
yea it seems to be difficult. The main problem for me is that I really hate the camera app. The sense cam doesn't work cos it needs the sense framework. If you manage to make it work with the framework of whatever base you use it should work. I tried it but my comp picked a nice time to pack up. And it'll be a while before I get it working again. I love the sense and arc cam apps. With one of those working on cm7 / Miui ill have a rom I can settle down with an xperia port would be nice as well good luck with your developing ill help where ever I can.
I need to get a new computer as well more than 7 years old running on 512 mb of ram not a real thrill.
I'm going to try touchwiz as of right now and see where I go.

Which ROM do you think have the best camera? Specialy for making pictures. Recording is not that important.
any HTC base rom
yes base is best
Any rom with HTC AmazeCamera Mod, it's gorgeous
Will upload some image when the forum authorize me to do so
And which 1 do you recommend with amaze mod in it?
if you really value a phone's camera, get an iPhone 4S......and i'm not kidding you.
Dislike apple. And my question is about rom not phone.

i am on SENSEaY 3.5 ROM with Amaze camera MOD. I think its better (may be not by far..but better) than the original & ARHD 3.6.8 i have used Frankly speaking while they are taken..look good but at computer monitor..that look changes. The only way to know to try the ROMS and choose what U like, I am saying this because ROMs like ARHD/ Insertcoin are hugely popular and best developed..yet I find SENSEaY/pyramid3D ROMs better for my taste
So keep flashing bro.."The beauty of our Android"

Great dev. The gingerbread ROM is great. Just install the HTC Amaze mod on it.
I'm sorry. If you specifically mean making pictures (not taking (i just don't know what you mean X-/ )), there are different apps that can help you with that. I'm not sure which ones though.
Try HyperNonsense rom....its only rom which has amaze mod [with low compression)
Others have amaze, but the compression is high

I love the HyperNonsense rom camera also, just waiting for the dev to implement ICS
What about elegancia rom with amaze cam? Gonna try it out, I think it should work fine.

No its not supported I dont think. However, beats audio is just an EQ profile so why dont you download something like PowerAMP from play store and configure it to a beats sound or maybe a more pleasing sound to your ears
You find beats audio only With sense 3 and up!

Second that. DSP Manager wipes the floor with Beats.
PowerAMP does a pretty good job too. Why not try out the free trial.

I've tried CM10 and I flashed the AwesomeBeats tweak alongside the ROM... The tweak installs an app with Beats profiles and an built in EQ you can modify. After using some time tweaking with the EQ and Bass Boost, I ended up with beautiful sound, so if you want Beats Audio and a powerfull EQ, go for that mod!

Allright, dsp manager is the best for headset volume, but Beats is not good. Bassmodd v.18 is working very vell but dsp manager doesnt support this programme.

Can you give me the link of that mod ?
Only reason IMHO to really want beats audio mod in a aosp rom to begin with is IF U USE BEATS HEADPHONES alongside. I'm guessing 99% of the people that want beats don't utilize the technology it was intended for.

Are you sure that it is only EQ profile. I thought it has something to do with hardware too. I have tried 2 phones(sensation&XE) with the same headphones, way different. by the way normal sensation used a custom rom beats EQ

Also for the general topic as an EQ profile jellybam rom has Amazing beats app in it probably it can be found as an apk
Just want to ask. Is there any jelly bean Rom which has beats audio? I really want to try out Jelly bean but I'm not willing to let go the beats audio. I don't really mind not having my front camera working. Or is there any beats audio Mod or something to have beats on a cm10 Rom?

The only JB roms are all CM10 based. They don't have Beats.
However they do have DSP Manager which is more powerful than Beats and gives you more control over the entire spectrum of sound from the low end to the high end.
Simply put, no Beats but they have something better than Beats.
You will be happy to give up Beats.
My condolences to Dr Dre for his loss of a user when you switch.
Really? Thank for your reply. Now I really feel like trying cm10 out.

Why do you want beats anyway? It is literally just an EQ profile - you cant get better sounds out of DSP Manager and PowerAmp
Ok so I've been reading quite a bit this afternoon, and it appears that all of the Sense 4 and Sense 4.1 ROMs are based on ROM extracts for the Snapdragon S3 version of the One S (which exists solely because of a shortage of Krait chips, z560e). The One S is supposed to be getting Jelly Bean in October. So my theory, however stupid it might be, is that the Sensation may get Jelly Bean ROMs based on the S3 based One S JB update. And if it does, it should have Beats.
So you might have to wait a while, but you should get it. Unless someone comes up with a Beats mod for CM10, that is.
The Google Now add-on for ICS can be made to work (allegedly) on Sense-based ROMs so maybe that's a good holdover point for now.
Hi!
I was wondering since I've been pretty happy with Beats on our Sensation, the sound is actually pretty clean and loud enough which is what I want.
So my question is, I've been using Sense roms with Beats Audio for the sake of it, I wanted to try AOSP and CM (i did before but never really used as mp3 player) but I'm not sure with the absense of beats I can achieve the same quality / loudness, so I'm asking for your opinions
Is there any app like Apollo which does the same job? I think DSP Manager from CM isn't as good or as loud?
Opinions?
Thank you so much!
there is beats installer in play store ..check it ..i think that will do the job for you

It's flashable zip file, latest version is v4.0
Also, try Anthrax kernel (only for sense-based ROM though). It has system-wide beats, I read somewhere that Beats is like 60% kernel and 40% ROM libs. Sure there's a free Beats audio installer on the market, but considering HTC invested quite a lot in Beats sound technology, it makes more sense that the thing is more than just an apk and some libs.
PowerAmp seems to have a crispier sound to it.
DSP Manager was also suggested better than Beats.
