Solution -1
-On Your Phone Home Screen, Tap the Menu Key.
-Then Tap Settings.
-Then Tap Call Settings (aka call, Phone, or Phone Settings).
-Tap Reject With Message (aka Ignore With Message).
Now check that how many default messages are there on this list. If you have more than 5, Then delete some messages until you have left with less then 5.
Solution-2
- On the Home Screen of your phone, Press Menu
- Now Tap Settings
- Now Tap Applications
- Tap Manage Applications
- Now at the Top, Tap the All tab
- Now Navigate to and tap your equivalent of the phone app (may be called phone or dialer)
- Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data as available
- Now Turn Your Phone off, then back on.
Now check that the problem still exists. If yes, then in addition to clear the cache from phone app clear cache & data for contacts. Also, try to force close the following applications under running services.
- Google Service Framework
- Contacts
- Gmail
- Calendar
- All other mail & social media services (like facebook etc.)
This error is because of sync problem with Google services like Mail, Contacts, Calender etc. These solutions are a common fix before doing the factory reset. (Before doing factory reset read the other solution and decide that you are ready for factory reset.)
also if you are rooted go to recovery mode and select
wipe data factory reset
and wipe cache
in advanced wipe dalvik cache
and reboot

Plane Jane MR2 Issue

I can't seem to delete the default contacts such as #data, #min, etc from people using planejane mr2. I press hold and select delete which does not remove the entry. They even display when you go to view options and unselected all phone books. Google, Sim, Phone all display 0 contacts yet they are still around and won't delete.
Update: Just occurred to clear the data in people and that worked.
I have the same issue.... clearing the data doesn't seem to fix it though.

R1lover,
I wrote this up step by step as to what i did to fix the problem.
Here is what I did to delete the items:
1. Start Deleting the system's default contacts and after a few deletes Go to People --> View --> under options it displays how many are left in each book.
Keep deleting them all until you reach 0. It seems only the contacts with a little sim card wouldn't delete. You will be down to just a few contacts left and these are the ones that will not delete. Go back into People --> View --> under options verify there is 0 contacts even if a few still display it listed 0.
Go back to your home screen --> settings --> applications --> manage applications --> all -> open people. Hit the "Clear Data" button and then "Force Stop"

How do I make Go SMS Pro the default sms app, permanently?

After every time that the app gets updated, I get prompted for what app to use for SMS actions. I set Go SMS to default each time, but the setting gets cleared each time there's an app update.
Is there a way to make an app the default app permanently, even after updates?

Sorry buddy. No way around it.

To make Go SMS default, try the below steps, it worked for me.
1. Go to Stock SMS app -> settings -> Notification Settings.. Here uncheck the Notifications.
2. Go to Go SMS app -> settings -> Advanced -> Notification Settings -> Check Enable notifications.
Now you should be able to receive messages thro Go SMS.
Good Luck !

[Q] Google apps only (inc Maps) don't connect to GPS (maybe because of AppOps??)

So I have just realised Google apps inc Earth and Maps (and Chrome) will and do not connect to GPS, but other apps will. I've been racking brain for ages trying to figure why but I think it may be to do with the now defunct and unusable AppOps where I had turned off Google services access to GPS once before the App got closed down.
Now has this messed up my GPS on G products? How can I fix? Thanks help much appreciated.
Y not just re install app ops?

Doesn't work on unrooted phones. Google just shut the app down leaving any setting it made behind stuck with you.
Clear cache, data force stop the app, uninstall if possible or just uninstall all updates and try make the app start from fresh again
Did you ever disallow maps itself location? Because i have gmscore location disabled but maps is still fine

S-note edit features call back

Device: SM-P900 Wifi
Build: Android 5.0.1 Germany rom
My question is about S-note. While capturing a photo from either cam or gallery, it asks how to paste it. You can select like 30%, 70% or full etc. and there's another option to select "always" or "for one time"
While doing one edit, I chose 70% and then by mistake selected "always". Now how can I call back this option? Each time I would like to adjust pic size...
Any ideas?
Thx,
Go to settings then general then default application now either you clear all or find snote app and then choose clear. Hope it helps!!
Settings > application mamager > all > S Note > Clear Defaults.

Thanks guys for the reply. This was the first thing I had tried, but when going to S-note in the apps, "clear defaults" was grey. I only cleared the cache but this didn't work.
But this rang a bell, maybe asking the size of copy could be another app. If so, any idea which app that could be?
Rgds,
You can try to clear all the defaults. Bit annoying because you'll get the popup for everything again, but it should work.
Settings > Application Manager > All > Option Key > Reset app preferences.
Hello again,
Tried all possible options but still doesn't work...

S7 Hyper noob questions

Hi Guys,
Been using MIUI for many years since my 1st smartphone and now with my Galaxy S7 its a brand new and diferent world, therefore I need you help if possible.
At this stage my doubts are:
1. Some apps don't have the 3 dots to cal the respective options menus and I always access this menu with the capacitive keys. Where is the Menu key or how can I activate it?
2. Is there a way to keep a regular backup of the calls history, text messages, etc to some samsung cloud so that if I flash a rom I can restore all the data?
In Miui there is the Miaccount and when I do a factory reset I can just login in the account and it will automatically download all this data. Its a great feature!
3. Where is the Power Toogles Widget?
4. Does Samsung as some kind of PC Manager to connect to the phone?
I think its Kies right, but this is for older phone....
5. is it possible to share (download gpx file or share in social networks) the activities from S Health app?
6. When I send a text message I'm getting notified that the other poerson received the message with the my text message received ringtone.... How do I change this?
7. Is there an option to close an app by Long-press the back capacitive key?
8. How can I choose the bluetooth download folder to be in the external SD?
9. No FM radio?
10. What app can I use to backup my apps+data without root?
11. Where is th QR Code scanner?
Thank you in adavnce

Thank you very much.
It would be great to know if the message was received or not.
In Miui the messages are stamped as received...
If you get a reply, they received it
Eheheh
1. You could use an app like 'Button Mapper' to redefine the keys. 'Xposed Additions' does more, but requires root access and the XPosed framework.
2. I use Titanium Backup (needs root) and save apps and data to the external SD card. Without root, you could try Helium Backup. It works for some phones sometimes. You could also backup your apps + data to the Google cloud.
4. I think that 'My Phone Explorer' is an excellent PC interface / synchronization client for just about any Android phone.
7. Yes. I agree; this *is* needed. See my reply to question 1. Since I get in and out of my phone quickly many times per day, I go even further. When I long-press the Back key, it runs a Tasker script that simulates pressing Home twice (to close the foreground app and return to the Home screen), brings up the Recent Apps screen, simulates a click to 'Close All' (to keep unused apps from draining the battery or using data), and then simulates the power button to turn off the screen.
10. See my reply to question 2.

Thank you very much.
Button mapper seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. Just did a quick test on several apps and either the required options are paid or need root ehehhe
Titanium Backup is the app I always used. I have the paid version but for now without root I have to let it go.
I'm going to try MyPhoneExplorer as the SmartSwitch from Samsung is really really poor. This don't even look like an official app to do what is meant to do....
regarding point 7, well I think a Button Mapper app is also the solution
No call recording option in this phone?
