Battery life is better.
Performance also improved.
Same xolo apps are there.
everything almost is here

All new xolo phones come with a kitkat out of the box. But I wish we still had JB. Some of the custom roms not working that well with 4.4
Xolo had released the offiicial update to kitkat 4.4.2 on the website. Visit the website and download the update to start enjoying KK.

I have downloaded the update zip from link.
When updating getting error about email apk having some unexpected content and update stops there..will try to update again by downloading update file..did any one was able to upgrade with this link update file?

How did you update?? Coz I am not getting option itself
1. Downloaded the zip file
2. Copied in in the root folder of SD card
3. Then Setting>About Phone>software update and selected "Check for Updates"
4. In next screen it showed me update package details "update zip and size as 296.32 MB, click on continue
5. Phone will reboot in Recovery
I downloaded the update zip file again but i am facing same issue,
"/system/app/Email.apk" has unexpected contents.
Any one can help?

Root folder of SD card means keep the file in your SD card directly, not in any folder, such that when you open the SD card, you see that file directly, and not inside any folder

The root will give you full permission to editing system to add or remove features, install third party apps as system apps, remove unneeded system app ............ etc

Sorry for the DP, but thought I'd do an update and since it was months since my last post about this, thought might as well do a new post.
Updated to official 4.4 and I'm overall happy with it. I lost the ability to change the "window" wallpaper (when you have the QI charging case, the window will be locked to whatever wallpaper you set before updating) and battery seems to be about the same for me.
That being said, I noticed that there is a CM 12.1 (android 5.1.1 ROM) for this guy. Thinking I may need to install TWRP (or equivalent) and do a nandroid then toss on a bigger badder ROM like that. Generally not a huge fan of CM ROMs as I find I need to do a LOT of post-install tweaks to the init.d scripts and build.prop files, but to get an LP ROM onto this already sweet phone I think would be worth it.
Thoughts?

Hi All,
Did anyone tried upgrading the Stock S003_15102013 version to Stock S011_25022014 using Software update in System Settings as there is some error in One hand operation mode in Stock S003_15102013 version.
Please post your valuable suggestions to get this error sorted out.

While using the one hand operation mode the screen appears like twice One full Screen along with the short screen which appears like mess with slow operation and also while i was trying to update via Xolo care app it is showing that already upto date.I hope the XOLO Q3000 Firmware which was available in internet doesnt seems to be the perfect one?? Please suggest.
My sugession is to pls root via framaroot & have S011 stock ROM &feel free..that's it bcoz S003 don't have OTA Update of S011

Thank you for your suggestion but Avi320 provided the S011 flashable files for our Q3000 provided by Hadiyalkrishna .
See my other post it has the links with the files so that may help in future.

Found the solution just do the following ok
Download miui 8
Then rename it update .zip and place it in root of your sd card
Go to settings and to the software updates section
Select search for updates
It will show the file you renamed
Click on update
Done it is going to take 15 to 20 min
I haven't tried on the spice mi 502n but it worked for my xolo prime

You can only install the stock ROM for your own specific device, trying to use firmware from another phone will likely brick it.

How to Install
Requirements:
1. need to be in stock rom with latest marshmallow update.(build ending in 139-63)
2. Patience
Steps :
1. Copy the zip file to internal memory
2. Reboot to Recovery(Stock recovery.. Wont work with TWRP)
3. Select Apply update from SdCard
4. Choose the zip file and wait for 20 minutes.
5. Reboot and enjoy

The official firmwares/OTA's are flashable ONLY with the stock recovery.

We can use fingerprint to lock the screen now
Iam afraid that if I didn't get future official update ota..I had the same problem with moto g..after I flashed Lollipop 5.0 in it..I received 5.1 update..but the recovery couldn't fully complete the update process...

Not to worry more, someday soon after official release which is ofcourse not near (atleast by December) after soak update. We can avail the factory images and flash the official one.

I am on stock rom and not rooted. How do I go to stock recovery? Can you help me? Do i need to have custom recovery or root to install this?
