[Q] WIPE DATA PROBLEM -cm 11 m8 - bootloop- IS IT BRICK?? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an Asus tf300t with CM 11 M7. Today i have tried to install cm 11 M8 and to get it i did some wipes. However i chose FORMAT DATA (PLEASE, can you tell me what happens?). Now i am trying to wipe factory reset but i always see FAILED, and although the cm 11 m8 install is successful, then when i reboot, the screen shows cyanogenmod's animation but it never ends.
In addition when I select storage, twrp shows me that internar storage is 0MB.
PLEASE, Can you tell what is wrong?
How can i fix that?
is it brick?

I wanted to know what happens with FORMAT DATA in TWRP

Thank you. Now the problem is solved. I was stupid because I turned off my tablet before ending the process.
Therefore, the partitions and mount were damaged. It was solved formatting data again.

[Q] Nexus 5 Flash Write Failure

Hey guys,
I have a rooted Nexus 5 and on Saturday it suddenly froze and when I restarted the phone it was stuck on a boot loop. I tried to go into my TWRP recovery and it asked for a password and it says that the internal storage is 0 MB. I have tried to flash stock rom using fastboot manually and it keeps saying (remote: flash write failure). Will someone please help me on this? I can't figure out what to do.
Thank You
sounds like your internel memory went bad. youll need to replace it.

yes. if you bought it through google, they will generally replace rooted phones especially if its a hardware issue(has nothing to do with root). and if its not google, they wont boot it up anyways(i dont think).

its actually a sorta common issue with the nexus 5. at least ive seen more than enough nexus 5 here with that issue. its a hardware issue, nothing you did.

I'm running Cyanogenmod 11 and about once a day I get the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped. Another one just started today too the error is com.android.incallui has stopped. I also get a problem with my camera where it wont open and i get the message unfortunately the camera has stopped. I've been googling around and haven't really found anything. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance!!

Yes it does. Not the sdcard though, if you have a custom recovery.
These are the basics to be fair. You should know all this if you're rooted. Please have a read of the sticky threads here and in general. They cover things like wipes, backups etc

Correct. ROM Is on /system partition. Wipe /data only wipes /data partition. This is all explained quite well in the sticky thread in q&a by @abaaaabbbb63

TF 300 Partitions. Help please!

Hey there!
I'm hoping that someone can help me out. My nephew who's a wanna-be geek was going to update my ROM (which didn't to be done really, but he wanted to show me what he was able to do). He went and downloaded the latest CM 11, rebooted and went into TWRP 2.7.0.1, did a factory reset, an advanced wipe, and did the Format Data. When he did that, it got stuck in a loop. Nothing happened. He tried to install the ROM he downloaded, and NOTHING! Long story short, by him doing the Format Data, he wiped out my partitions. TWRP, no matter what I try to do tells me it's unable to mount 'data' or 'media' etc. etc. Which is leading me to believe I have no partitions left. I've tried installing the latest update from Asus, and no dice. I've tried restoring backups that I have on my micro SD, and that's not working. Prior to all of this my tablet was unlocked and rooted.
Can someone please help me and tell me how to fix this? Can I get my partitions back? I'm really hoping that I don't have to send this tablet off to Asus in Dallas, TX to have it repaired.
I'm using a loaner tablet from a rental store, hoping I can get my TF 300 fixed.
Any help is deeply and sincerely appreciated.

i did exact same as you.. followed thread info above and it worked. i was on twerp 2.7.0.1 and also had installed a kitkat rom but just used the blob from
stock http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/TF300T/TF300T-WW_epad-10_6_1_27_5-UpdateLauncher.zip
and it all recovered fine.
When you format /data in twrp it now takes 90 mins plus.... Sounds like he interrupted the format to me.
Solution is to reformat /data and let it finish this time.

IMEI Unknown

Hi guys! I've looked all around and tried the fixes that people recommended, which is basically going back to stock.
So this is what happened to my brother's phone:
Was using the phone and all a sudden the phone freezes (He was on Android L) and he rebooted it. After rebooting, the phone went into bootloop. He downloaded some program that supposedly fixes softbrick and bootloop (by flashing stock ROM) Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.7.
The phone was fixed.. Kinda.. He couldn't get any cell signal. Turns out his baseband and IMEI read unknown. He has the box the phone came in, to we know the physical IMEI number.
Is there a fix for this? I've tried this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/lost-imei-please-help-t2529103 but it didn't work.
Any ideas?

Also check if wifi mac address is changing after each reboot. Corrupted persist partition can cause problems like that and also other things like crasing apps
Check out my thread about it http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/guide-to-fix-persist-partition-t2821576. It worths a try. If it does not help then you have to buy a new motherboard or claim your warranty if you have any.

Then it is up to you what are you going to do with the persist partition. You will lose nothing but time by formating the persist partition. If it not fix your problem then you have to buy a new motherboard for the phone to make phone calls either way because you dont have any efs backup.

Factory reset phone with root and twrp

Hello guys, yesterday I sold my phone. Now im trying to factory reset my Oneplus one in the menu. But when I do that it reboots and gets in a TWRP bootloop. I already backedup my data on my new phone, so I just want to get rid of everything. When I reboot the phone nothing has changed and all my apps and data are still there. Anyone have an idea what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Simply boot into Recovery, tap Wipe and swipe to begin the process. Doing so will perform a regular Factory Reset.

Well the method that I suggested will ensure that the phone is back to a 100% stock state, exactly as it came out of the box.
