Hi, I have installed Your MIUI custom rom for my q900 and then moved to another custom rom i.e. samsung note 3 rom. But the samsung note 3 rom have some serious bug so I wanted to go back to my old stock rom.
But whenever I tried to install the stock rom [downloaded from : http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/xolo-q900-official-stock-rom-t2809199] I got an error message showing "signature verification failure. installation aborted".
For installing those custom rom I have installed the CWM recovery and used that recovery to install the stock rom.
Really have no idea whats going wrong.
Any help will be appreciated.

OMG! This problem is not related to checksum. Alright, the problem is due to the absence of driver. You need to install MT6589 preloader drivers inorder to flash roms to MT6589 device. In windows 8, you need to disable driver signature check(google it) to install the driver. Good luck.

Ok thats it...flashed d stock rom successfully...n d process wz perfect...n learned some new things. 2..thank u for d help..

[Q] Galaxy S GT I9003 stuck in recovery loop

Hi everyone,
I had GT i9003 with 2.3.6 as the firmware.
I recently flashed custom ROM CM10-GalaxySL-JZO54K-Alpha4.zip , which worked fine intially.
Later due to network problems i tried restoring to my original firmware.
After doing the restore I am stuck.
Right now whatever i do the phone comes back to CWM recovery. I have tried to flash the phone again with
different custom ROMs, but after saying the installation complete the phone again reboots to CWM recovery.
Hope i have made my problem clear.
can anyone put some light on this?????

If you made a NANDROID(CWM) backup of your GingerBread 2.3.6 firmware, you won´t be able restore it while still on CM10.(as mentioned by MR.Volkf).
I suppose you know that to get back to 2.3.6 you will need to use ODIN to flash the firmwares previously mentioned.
If you´re not familiar with the proper steps involved with ODIN, here´s a great guide on how to do that, thanks to "Misledz".
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787
Once you get back to GB(2.3.6), then I believe you should be able to restore any GB NANDROID backups that you may have previously made.(From the restore option in CWM recovery mode).
Good Luck!

Well i have the GT-N8000 an i used ODIN 3.0.7 flashing ClockWorkMod Recovery here:
forum.xda-developers - show thread 2102677
after that i flashed CyanoGenMod ROM 10.2 Nightly ("cm-10.2-20131221-NIGHTLY-n8000.zip") Here

I tried to restore splash sreen by flashing a stock ROM N8000XXCMF1_N8000PHNCMG1_PHN again... didden't work...
so any other thoughts are welcome...

If a stock rom has no kernel in your view i suggest you read the faqs and guides before flashing anything ever again .
Kernel - This is always supplied with a ROM. It is the beating heart of Android. The ROM cannot function without the kernel. Since all ROMs include a kernel, if you're using a custom Kernel then flash a ROM, you will need to reflash the kernel again.

with ODIN i usually dont have any problems with flashing roms. Not where exactly the splash screen is installed...
but with a rooted rom things can go bad. Normally when you flash a rom the splash screen stays unaffected.
For some reason it was damaged. so i need to find a way to repair it... not easy ....

When you tried to flash to factory firmware did odin give you a message of pass or fail?
When you flashed to factory ROM did it actually install the factory firmware?
Have you have tried other versions of odin.......a copy of Odin3 v1.85 in attachment, if you want to try it.

[Q] (HELP) Micromax A110 stuck on Bootscreen- Rom-Canvas 5.1

Hi Guys,
Before you guys shoot me down, Just wanted to say, i searched XDA for 2 hours, couldn't find the exact reply. And a few topics are open since a year with no reply, So thinking that someone will reply to me. I am opening this "Need Help" Ticket.
I have a micromax a110 with 4.04 - as i got no update ever! So what i did was
Rooted the phone properly as per the procedure.
Downloaded the CWM 6.0.4.9 recovery [selinux] and flashed it with Recovery Link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/mic...opment/recovery-cwm-6-0-4-9-recovery-t2789175
Downloaded the [ROM][4.2.2] CanvaS5™ V1.1 Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775553
After flashing the rom properly, when i reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the boot screen forever. Am i doing something wrong? Should i have flashed a kernel? or something. Please note, i am not looking into going back to stock, as i have moved into the dark side of the root world .
Since i have just been a Read-only user of XDA for all this while(more than a year), with no posts ever, i cant request for help on the Developer Thread as it requires privileges. Requesting someone to please post this topic there so i can speak to the dev or please give me a answer to help me:silly:

That Recovery you flashed is SELinux enabled and is not supported by 4.1-4.2.2 Jelly bean Roms so you have got boot loop . You can try other recovery or flash higher android version roms .
---------- Post added at 05:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:06 PM ----------
I think this CWM recovery will work with your downloaded rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204785
And remember before flashing anything clear data, cache and dalvik-cache.
Happy Flashing
Thanks guys for the reply, let me flash the above CMW and check. Will revert shortly
How to i put the CMW in the phones root directory now for it to flash? The phone doesnt start so cant access it through usb. Any ideas?

Hey shreyas,
I have tried it with SP tools, it doesnt work, man. Drivers, Softwares, updated all of them, i keep doing everything. I know i am doing something wrong, but its hard to identify, spent like the entire night trying to make it. Can't i get a flashable zip for CMW instead or know that on which rom did the CWM selinux work on? This boot looping is now killing :fingers-crossed:
Finally, i found a way, thanks 4Shreyas for all the help. Gave me knowledge and helped me identify the errors.
I couldn't flash the rom or the cmw recvoery through the pc as the drivers for SP tools never worked on my Win 8.1 x64. Finally applied the stock jellybean file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160609 . It updated my CMW since that was the problem i was stuck in bootloop.
After that i flash the phone with my desired rom.
In the end, all good:laugh:

Cheers bro !!!! Yes getting MTK drivers in win 8 is a challenging task and as SELinux CWM recovery is concerned you can flash 4.3.x and 4.4.x roms . Google it , if any rom is available then use that recovery to flash those roms .
Enjoy !!

Bro if the method not working ,I have one method>>Using odin u can flash Roms.first you have to install assayed kitchen from this link ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ch...ndroid-roms-editor-assayyedkitchen-t3410545). Then convert the ROM (the ROM u want to install) to .tar file (its Odin flashable file).
You can get the steps from above link.
Now I'm using this method to install Roms.

For more details PM me.

Hey Sheref, your suggestion rocked.
First, I used Assayyed Kitchen for modifying Jelly Bean 4.1.2 of my Samsung Quattro GT-i8552. I made rom zips and flashed modified rom successfully after changing a few lines in updater-script.
Yesterday, I followed same method for Samsung Core GT-i8262. While flashing the rom, I got status 0 error. Then, I made almost 8 to 10 different rom zips with different alterations in updater-script; some copied from custom roms available for Core. Even after that I got status 0 error. I was highly frustrated with what was going on. I searched XDA for solution for updater-script errors and solutions etc. yesterday. But, I could not get one. Today morning, again I started my search on XDA and your post wished me Good Morning . Finally, I could flash / install modified Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on Core GT-i8262 (rooted, busy box, init.d, deodexed, debloated 84 apps) via odin. Breakthrough!
For Core 28bit .tar file worked; 32bit did not. Any idea why? Because as per my knowledge Quattro and Core are 32bit devices. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks a Core
