[Q] why do i need 10 post in order to post in development subforum - General Questions and Answers

if i hae a question why not be entitled to ask ??

And the 10 post rule is something you accepted to abide by when you accepted membership here - that being said, you probably need to read the rules...
Please read this guide as well to help you get started on XDA, and this guide regarding post counts and development.
Please make an effort to post helpful comments from now on, and review the forum rules.

i am trying to post to a thread from a rom that i am using right now to mae them aware of an issue i found... but every time i try to reply i get this:
"reinaldistic, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums.
To ask Questions about developing your device, installing ROMs, software and themes you must go to the Q&A or General Forum.

You don't have enough posts to post in the dev sections. For the posters above you. Go to the dev section you want to post in. You can find the moderator of that section if you scroll down to the bottom. Right under where the page numbers are.
how are you supposed to have enough posts in the dev section if you cant post in the dev section?!
Build up your posts in other sections. Then when you have enough posts go back to the dev section you want to post in and make your post.
i did, the text calls for 10 or more posts in other sections, i have 12 in epic 4g q&a, and in general discusion q&a... and i still cant post in dev!!!
Sorry I didn't realize what your post count was. I would send the moderator of that section a pm and ask.

[Q]How can I post in the Developement forum?

I really need to reply in a post... I have some problem with a ROM... so how can I post in the HTC Desire S developement?
thx
hello !!!
New Member: Welcome to XDA!
To unlock all capabilities of XDA, we ask that those of you with higher level skills make 10 helpful posts. If you are unable to help others, please post only relevant new questions or observations. Low quality posts will be deleted, especially when made simply to get to the 10 post threshold. Why?
reasons :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/newmember.php
How do I know if my posts are helpful?
Or should I get at least 10 Thanks to qualify myself to post in Development thread?
Look around the forum for your device and try to help out by answering questions. Not bringing back long dead threads.

Stupid Restrictions !

I've been visiting this forum for more than a year, and when I try to post...

...I need to increase my post count to post ?!? :silly:
If you've been here more than a year then you should know the rules of XDA by now.
If you've only managed three posts in that time (including this thread) then you obviously have done absolutely nothing to contribute to the community.
What's the point in posting pointless threads like this just to try and increase your post count? Reported.
And on that note...
THREAD CLOSED.

[Q] Isn't 10 post a little too much?

I just want to talk and ask questions about a rom I am using but I have to post 10 post to talk?...

You DO NOT need to post in the Dev forum just to talk about a ROM. There is a perfectly adequate General forum and a Q&A forum which you can use.
Believe it or not, XDA was not created for you. It is a Development site for mobile phones and the Development forums are there for discussion of Development, bug fixes etc - not for you to say "Thanks" or to ask pointless questions that just clog up the thread and stop people from finding genuine information when they need to.
Reported.
As far as your thoughts for the 10 post rule:

Its not a massive restriction and to provide 10 useful/helpful posts is not hard.

[Q] Cannot post to dev forum

Hi,
I would like to ask why my S2 hangs up during a call in the correspondig developer forum. But I can't. Do I have to post 10 bla bla threads before?
Regards
Oliver
No, you have to post ten good, useful posts first. Try to help other people. Alternatively, post in your device's Q&A forum where QUESTIONS should be.

A) pointless thread reported
B) You are meant to write 10 useful posts, before you start posting read, read and read some more then help a few users and bingo you have gone past 10 posts
C) You have shown why the rule is here, development sections are JUST for development, if you have a bug or issue with your phone it belongs in the Q&A or general section. If you really need to talk to a developer about a issue just PM them
As above, please don't spam just to get 10 posts and then post in the wrong forum. Development forums are not for questions - Q&A forums are the correct place for them
