This phone is really good but this is an annoying bug. Do roms built from source have the same issue?

Sorry to hear that. Going forward, you might want to automatically make backups. I have Foldersync set up to instantly upload to Dropbox all the pictures I take, as I take them.

Line Across Camera Screen?

There's a line across the screen when using my camera app...stock camera app...I'm on latest Paranoid with latest PA GApps and it just started today out of nowhere.
The line appears in every camera setting...Panorama, photosphere, Video etc. Anyone else ever see this? Any suggestions for a fix?
What I've tried...
1) Reflash ROM and GApps
2) Flash a different kernel
3) Start new (AKA clean flash)
NONE OF THESE HAVE WORKED
What I haven't tried...
1) Wiping the phone, locking the bootloader and starting over.
Any thoughts? Hardware issue? Thanks.

It's ONLY on the camera app right? Have you tried another app? If it does then it's a hardware problem.
when taking the photo and viewing it what does it look like? line through it?

Thank you for the responses guys unfortunately its definitely a hardware issue...the line is there in every photo app and also there in gallery when viewing a photo I've just taken. I have a warranty replacement on the way to me.

Problem "screen pixel"

Hi everybody,
I've Nexus 5 with original rom Android Lollipop 5.01
I've a strange problem and I'd like to know if it is a software or hardware problem.
Sometimes, and only with Facebook app, in a part of the screen appear few pixels and they disappeared when I close the app or I move between tab.
Enclosed an example, I reproduce it in photoshop.
Any idea?
Thank you very much.
Ciao!
Its probably a damaged flex cable. Cheap to replace.

Tky for reply. This appears only on Facebook app, and sometimes.
If cable is damage I think always I had this problem.
And if the problem is the app? It's possible?

Not really sure if it only happens in Facebook then.
I'd say ignore it a bit for now, but if it happens more and in other apps then replace it.

Ok tky very much.
Latest question, is there a way to test this problem? For example by a benchmark app or other?

Don't think so, no. Unless you know which exact colors in which exact pixels are causing the issue, which is pretty impossible.

Tky so much for help
This is a bug in Lollipop and has nothing to do with a hardware defect. I get this in several other apps as well. A fix from Google is already on the way and will be released with a next update of Android.

Breathing notification light?

Hi guys! I just bought a Nexus 5 yesterday and flashed CM12 on it. The notification light only blinks. Is there a way to make it breathe or pulse(whatever you call it)? I remember my friend showed me a while back on his Nexus 4 that the light was fading in and out. I have tried Light Flow and it didn't solve my problem. Sorry if this has been answered before, but googling for hours and searching xda did not give me the results i am after.

EMUI 5.0 Gallery app issue

I just updated to EMUI 5 (B361) and have been testing out the firmware and found out that the photos sections from gallery app only shows pictures/video from taken from camera or the screenshots. It's not showing other whatsapp pictures or downloaded pictures in the photos section like it used to in Emui 4.
Can someone confirm if this is only me or is it the same for everyone now?
No it's not you. It has been like this since B342.

Google play games lag issue present in every Nougat device. I can confirm it because my note 5 also has the same issue.

Here's another thread that reporting the same issue
Is anyone else having problem with the camera? I can't seem to select the normal camera mode after I select the pro mode.
[[Nevermind clearing up the camera app's data made it work properly]]
