Edit 2: great rom, stable, no problem at all :good: :good:

Woahhh
It's finally here!!! Will I brick 0_0? xDDD

My god, yet another ROM
Kudos to the Atrix 2 dev team that this phone is getting newer day by day with the growing age instead of getting old :cyclops:
Anyways Uzayr, is it based on Xposed framework? Then the ART won't work in this ROM.

For a moment, just though to check whats going on elsewhere on XDA and checked few other forums of most popular phones like Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and few others and found that those phones don't have all the famous ROMs n latest versions unexpectedly. They have very few 4.4.4 ROMs and our Atrix2 has almost all the famous ROMs that too in latest 4.4.4 version
This Atrix 2 phone and these Atrix2 dev guys are just crazy. At one stage there were hardly any worthy ROMs and today this area is just beating the most of the popular phones in the ROM race. I joined this community after installing 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 was released by Google. I didn't expect the 4.4.3 before 15-20 days and man next day one of the dev updates one thread with 4.4.3. After that another thread and so on and by the next 2-3 days, all of the ROMs are 4.4.3.
Same went with 4.4.4. Never expected such craziness. This is then when few of the devs got the Atrix 2 as their first Android phone and didn't know much about development, but today they are making it possible for us to enjoy the latest of Android. And few are constant contributors guiding others. Kudos to all of them.
Feeling so lucky that I decided to buy Atrix 2 two years ago after long thought process on many choices and today I am part of this small yet wonderful A2 community

it sure is one hell of a phone
This is my first android phone...been about nearly 2 years.
Haha, well...for us A2EPT its been more of an adventure with this device. we learnt a lot made good friends and a good, welcoming community.
The list of ROMS available wont stop just yet
we got a lot more to release in the future.
Right now we got on big hurdle to get past...that is OMNI!
roms based on omni always seem to be caught in a bootloop so we are working on solving the issue. hopefully if we succeed,we'll get much more to cherish on this wonderful device.
All i ask is give the devs support and encouragement, we are all doing it for free

Really? The volume adjustment seemed fine when I was using it. As for the fcs, are they happening for a specific app or just random, and are they very frequent?
Try wiping cache, dalvic and fixing permissions in BMM to see if that helps. I'm gonna reinstall it to see if settings volume adjustment works.

For those who are experiencing bad battery life you might want to disable cynogenmod clock. It makes a wakelock which drains the battery. I disabled it getting better battery now

This rom doesn't have the 1% battery hack, but it's really not hard to work with
~UPDATE~: This and other roms the A2EPT have ported may not have working in-call volume, so if it's something you really want to work then download the in-call volume adjustment fix by nma83 here: In-call Adjuster App
Reservations have been made for the Ace here!
So you like Screenshots, huh?
If anyone hasn't tried this rom yet, here are some screenshots from the original thread of what to expect.
For a very nice Easter egg, when you first install any of these roms, look inside Themes in Settings.
This is really an Illusion, this ROM is truly amazing and I like it so much I might use it as my daily 'cause USB mass storage works on this ROM :good:
Just a request, can 1% battery hack be fixed on this ROM?
Thank you :good:
Hi @Aceofzeroz !
First of all, thank you for all your work. I'm new in this subforum (just bought an A2 today LOL) and i'd like to suggest a nice rom that I was using on my previous device (Moto Defy); and AOSB was truly great.
Anyway, like I said, i'm new here, so I'll start trying Illusion.
Thanks again!

Hey min, thanks again for your appreciative feedback of all my ports so far, always a pleasure to hear from you.:highfive: As for the 1% battery hack, I honestly tried to add it according to the guides I read and so on, but could never get it to work for Illusion, Mirage or any rom without it. -_- I don't really get why they never added it to so many roms too, so all I can say is that I had to get used to it and it's not really so bad after a while so give it a chance.

Welcome to the Atrix 2 section! I'm glad to know that you're a seasoned member and giving my rom ports a whirl is great to know.:good: My ports are actually using post-built roms from the S. Galaxy OMAP 4 phones so it depends on if such roms available and if I can actually port them (some are more tedious than others). However, I was looking for AOSB some time ago in hopes of porting it as well so I'll see if they have any suitable ones. I'll even see if I can port it from the defy itself, that way it'd be 2 birds with one stone!
One other thing is that my team and I still haven't figured out how to fully port KK 4.4.2 roms from those phones as it has been posing greater difficulties than both 4.2.2 and 4.3+ roms combined. Hopefully one day we'll pull it off though, enjoy until then.
I am really enjoying this ROM! A lot of transitions though. Getting a little overwhelmed haha. But how do you get the ribbon like on the last row center picture?

Thanks for the update on that app sam, I'm sure it'll work just as well in the newly added roms me and the A2EPT have posted.
An Update somewhat, I added a newly ported rom called Odyssey to the OP of this thread. It's almost identical to Ilusion Rom 4.3 so I decided not to make a new thread for it this time around. Enjoy the roms!

Hey sam, sorry for the late answer. Truth is I don't think I'd be able to build the latest version of this rom because it has an omnirom base and every builder you know has tried building Omnirom-based roms (like DU kk), but they never boot.

All credits to this rom's creator(s) and original sources. Non-kexec roms need you to be on ICS kernel to work, so JB leak rom users beware!
This rom doesn't have the 1% battery hack, but it's really not hard to work with.
This spot is reserved!
Slim, fast, and smooth..noticed it's missing the 1 percent battery mode though..would love to have it too
Oopz missed that in the op

I keep switching ROM. I am in love with this ROM, it is fast, smooth, and filled with enough features to get me by. Only problems that I am having is that there is no 1% battery mod, which isn't the end of the world. Also i was wondering how do I get the minimal amount of UI tearing?

Yeah, the lack of 1% battery is annoying because there are several of my ports that have it and it's hard to add without breaking something. -_-
As for minimal ui tear, if you haven't already done this for any rom you can go to Developer Options, scroll down to where you see Transition and Window scale. Set those two to .5 then lastly, you tick the 'Force 4x MSAA' option and that should do it. Good luck and enjoy all the new ports!:good:

Man, I just love the fact that you always respond super quickly. Thanks! that seemed to help! And ya it kind of sucks that if you mess with something that might cause another problem, but it isn't the end of the world, battery life though seems awesome! Glad i switched.
Boot looping
First of all, Thanks for this wonderful rom :good: :victory:
Smooth and battery saver
Now some issues I faced (Installed on system 4)
1. No Battery 1% mod, but thats not a big problem, you can install battery widget by Pedro Maicas from play store for correct battery status.
2. Wifi tether has some issue, its not turning on. So I installed wifi fix and it boot loops. I guess that fix was for CM 11 only.
thats all for now. I'll let you know more once I reinstall it tomorrow

Whoa, I thought that would only work with kexec only roms, thanks a ton for letting me and everyone know it does!
You'll have to stick with that app as in-call volume adjustment is a problem in most of our roms, hence that's why that app was made.
FYI, I have NO idea how it works as I'm not a developer and only work with already-built roms.

You must be on ICS kernel to use the Nonkexec 4.2.2 version!
Attached is the correctly sized boot animation that you'll all have to spend a few ounces of energy and time to put the attached bootanimation.zip in the /system/media folder and set permissions to -rw-r-- r--.
Reserved for saying that a bug with the KK version is that HALO won't allow you to install 3rd part apps lol.:silly:

That's okay. I'm used to kexec ROMs now. But the only reason why I don't want to use non kexec is the ui tear bug. Idk if it's still there or not. If that has been fixed, I'll be right up flashing non kexec.

The ui tear is still there for all non kexec roms, where the only way to reduce it is reducing the transition animation scales in Dev Options. Since de- and re-kexecing isn't such a long/difficult process, I'll see when I can write up a guide for it since it's faster than me reuploading a kexec version (50KB/s upload) when I get the chance.:silly:

What's Broken:
HALO's "Hide when inactive" function isn't working properly (sends the HALO bubble completely out of sight)
Please report all other bugs experienced here.
How to flash:
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
Flash-freeze the ROM & GApps at the coldest temperature possible! (flash as usual, hehe)

Thank you for reporting this Sam, I never had that issue because earlier builds went by fine. Even updating to the version I shared with you all wasn't a problem, but damn, I'm sorry for the mess.
It's very late where I am, so what I'll do is replace the download link with an older, working build I already have uploaded. You can use it until I can re-upload a property working update for you all, though they suffer from a autobrightnees bug I fixed in this one. -_- Again, sorry everyone.

You're welcome Az and thank you as well. I don't think I'll take on another build project yet since I'm already building this, CM-Remix and Beanstalk, but I know about SOKP.
!~Notice for everyone~!: I'll be uploading the working AICP 4.0 sometime soon but I have some bad news. I had some strange issues that prevented me from accessing my Linux HDD (dual booting Windows 7/Linux Mint). As a result, I had to format the HDD which had all the downloaded rom building sources, now gone.
So I have to reinstall Linux and setup everything all over again, meaning any updates/fixes will be on hold until I've sorted it all out. Thank you for understanding.

~Edit~: Alright everyone, the working v4.0 has been uploaded and added to the OP alongside the older 3.5.

Thank you for understanding.

system 3 is recommended,
and use minimal/micro gapps only..
it's better to have a nandroid backup of your stock rom as well.

Well I I use Nova launcher as my default so I don't know of any way to get rid of it on the stock launcher. Check in settings>home to see if it has any extra options. If not, then I believe you may have to resort to such methods of removing it.

This rom probably uses Google Now Launcher,
to remove it and replace with another launce, un-pack rom, go to system/apps/ and search for the launcher app and remove...be sure to put a replacement launcher as well...after that you could zip it again and update install...
Or...you could just install another launcher from the play store and choose to hide the Google Search bar :silly:

Well yeah i guess nova launcher it is then...:S... i tried to remove the google search app from within the AICP features and the whole system crashed and i had to reinstall it.. oh well..
Hey another thing.. for the life of me i cannot create a system.img or data.img larger than 1000, when i try to make them 2000 it says fat32 cannot parse.. or something like that.. the thing is thatwhenever im re installing all my apps it gets clogged if i only have 1gb of space.. so far i have transfered all the apps it lets me to the sd.. but.. there must be something im doing wrong here..
