Welcome to the NEXT edition of the FactoryROM Series:
Project CORE
With the new arrival of Android v4.2.1 many changes have taken place.
This ROM is the beginning of something Great! This is going to be the Base
for my newest and most difficult project, DynamicROM. Please watch the video
below so you can get a better understanding on what I am trying to accomplish
here. My vision is to create a brand new User Interface. Something like we have
seen before on Android.
Again, this is just the BASE for my next project. I will continue to add features
as I see fit.

Very interested in ROM. I'm familiar with the AOKP roms for my phone. I see the circle battery, and notification bar features. Is the power button on notification on Nav bar in the works? Kill App with long hold on back softkey? DeOdexed?
I'm using the stock rom and wanting features like those you are offering. Tablet interface is low on my wanted list. Eye candy is nice but doesn't make a better experience in using the rom.

Yes, it's deodexed, there already is an option for long hold to kill app. I have a bunch of features which are going to be added on a steady basis. Give it a shot and let me know how you like it...

This rom is the baddest f.......... rom I have used so far. OMG I love this rom

Looks like the default kernel in this rom is already OC'd to 1.5Ghz.
Surprised a default OC was not mentioned in OP.

Gallery issue and solution
I wonder if other had the same issue as mine: no pictures in the gallery even if syncro was supposed to be on, cleaning cache etc etc didn't work either.
After a research I found the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31105842&postcount=6
and now I have my pictures back. Possibly a problem with the gapps package?

To activate, go into Settings ---> User Interface Settings ---> General ----> and there you will find Force Tablet UI located at the bottom of screen.

Camera Bug
Hi, love the rom so far but i'm having some problems with the camera application. Did a clean install flashed gapps and went through setup, was installing my apps and then checked out the camera application. Switched to 720p and then when switching back it freezes and then sort of crashes. Will say cannot connect to camera afterward. Have to restart to fix.
Any help would be great.

HOW TO INSTALL:
1) Download MIUI and move it to external or internal SD
2) Reboot into recovery mode
3) Wipe factory reset and cache
4) Install MIUI
RECOMENDATION:
· Download any theme you want trough Theme Manager and apply (this solves music stop when you lock screen)
· Install MIUI directly on XXLQB oficial firmware (this solves low audio issues)
· Maybe when you play music you will have to vol up after Play (if you don't do these step, probaably you will not hear anything even if the song is plaayed)

No Problem , I don't suggest it as a daily though, I'm going to need help with the Ram Consumption. It lags bad. 450/510 MB is used. Other than that I've seen no problems besides camera recorder.

I can use any of them, we've got a lot of source built ROMs that are perfect (4G and everything)... somebody suggested using 4.1.2 stock ROM (TouchWiz)

It's hard to port MIUI using Touchwiz as base.. Trust me, Sammy has a lot of crapp.. I will contact later with the OP user and see what we can do together using MIUI source and CM, or anything that your device has..

Niceeeee. Illusion ROM is so sick!

Coooooooooooooool something new, What about modem and kernel? Does it use EPIC modem and is kernel built in? I see that uses Slim gapps, so just get the whatever is latest? Standard all clean install? or coming from Slim I can do dirty install? I am asking as I am on nexus modem with slim 6.

What version is this? 4.2.2 or 4.3?

Tried this ROM. Thanks. Still definitely beta. I reverted back to domination. Issues I saw were no haptic feedback, soft keyboard stays on screen when hw keyboard is used, halo not fully functional. Will try again when some of the bugs are worked out. Thanks.

Have not tested Halo, but haptic feedback is most definitely working for me, & the soft/HW keyboard switching as well. Perhaps a bad download?

I was coming from touchwiz rom. I wiped all partitions and flashed illusion and slim gapps. It got stuck on samsung boot. I had to restore my backup cause I couldn't get it to boot. Does this have a kernel? Do I have to flash a jelly bean kernel to get it to boot?

I had the same issue when flashing this rom yesterday. I ended up trying to flash 4 times from a fresh odin flash each time. So 4 rom flashes and 5 odin flashes later and I am on Domination. I got tired of trying, lol. It wasn't a bad download as I compared MD5's, so ... yea.
It looks like it maybe wasn't converting from BML to MTD, and wasn't dropping in a MTD recovery. I may be incorrect there, but I got tired of it all and wanted a working device again.

Then why not flash another MTD ROM (CM10/10.1) prior to this? Doesn't hurt.

I had cleaned my SD card prior and only had a few files on it. It was what it was.

All credits to the Illusion Rom team and OPs of these two ported versions.
You must be on ICS kernel to use the Nonkexec 4.2.2 version!
This rom doesn't have the 1% battery hack, but it's really not hard to work with
~UPDATE~: This and other roms the A2EPT have ported may not have working in-call volume, so if it's something you really want to work then download the in-call volume adjustment fix by nma83 here: In-call Adjuster App

Hey min, thanks again for your appreciative feedback of all my ports so far, always a pleasure to hear from you.:highfive: As for the 1% battery hack, I honestly tried to add it according to the guides I read and so on, but could never get it to work for Illusion, Mirage or any rom without it. -_- I don't really get why they never added it to so many roms too, so all I can say is that I had to get used to it and it's not really so bad after a while so give it a chance.

Welcome to the Atrix 2 section! I'm glad to know that you're a seasoned member and giving my rom ports a whirl is great to know.:good: My ports are actually using post-built roms from the S. Galaxy OMAP 4 phones so it depends on if such roms available and if I can actually port them (some are more tedious than others). However, I was looking for AOSB some time ago in hopes of porting it as well so I'll see if they have any suitable ones. I'll even see if I can port it from the defy itself, that way it'd be 2 birds with one stone!
One other thing is that my team and I still haven't figured out how to fully port KK 4.4.2 roms from those phones as it has been posing greater difficulties than both 4.2.2 and 4.3+ roms combined. Hopefully one day we'll pull it off though, enjoy until then.

I am really enjoying this ROM! A lot of transitions though. Getting a little overwhelmed haha. But how do you get the ribbon like on the last row center picture?

I'm glad you are, it became a new favourite of mine because of the many features! I believe it's the 4.3.1 version that has the app bar feature, I can't check right now due to being preoccupied.

2. Just installed this ROM haven't checked battery life....
2. Transition animation reminds me of AOCP galaxy S2 ROM which I have tested for our A2 and thats awesome. :fingers-crossed:
3. For In-call volume we have to use that in-call volume adjustment fix by nma83 (I know its given in OP)
4. FM radio app is also working here :angel:

Just a show of what making good use of opportunities does for people. When I get the chance, I'll update my porting guide with all the methods I used to to port them.

Thanks man for sharing the FM Radio link, its working on my no-kexec BeanStalk and CM11.:good:

Thanks for the update on that app sam, I'm sure it'll work just as well in the newly added roms me and the A2EPT have posted.
An Update somewhat, I added a newly ported rom called Odyssey to the OP of this thread. It's almost identical to Ilusion Rom 4.3 so I decided not to make a new thread for it this time around. Enjoy the roms!

Hey sam, sorry for the late answer. Truth is I don't think I'd be able to build the latest version of this rom because it has an omnirom base and every builder you know has tried building Omnirom-based roms (like DU kk), but they never boot.

For now project is not going to be updated. My whole workstation HDD crashed, also My internet connection is limited to a sim card, and 1GB limit with awful speed. Yupp! You can! Simply go to the performance in settings. And choose power saving , after that go to CPU and change governor to powersave. For still good battery life You can also set it to interactive. It will give You better graphics/CPU power!

I haven't really modified the kernel yet. Because I'm on vacation. And it takes 8 hours to compile. But in 2 days I will be back home. So I will do much more . Graphics in games are working pretty good. Even on "extreme battery saving mode". So if You want to have great battery life just follow instructions in q/a.
And I don't really know if it contains codecs. It's pure cm 11 kernel.

Just wonder what features u had add in?

Thanks! . Yes There is actually HTC launcher. But I will have to fix it. Because doesn't seem to work properly. Also my flight got delayed. So I will have to build next version on my laptop. (It takes 8 hours). And now I will look what Can I do with the kernel etc.

Cyanogenmod is now a general os. For all hlte versions. And It seems like it does support N900T version.(When You check updater script.)
Edit:I have checked that model online. And it has 800 CPU. So it should be supported pretty much.

For now Only couple of apps. To make it look like L version etc. I could really do much more if it wouldn't take 8 hours to compile . But I have couple of cool ideas what could I add in the next version Also I'm sorry But I can't really make my rom on the first build to look like SlimRom or CRom. Guys making such advanced roms are incredibly smart and have a lot of time. Good workstation. And some of them doesn't work alone. Like me. But I can promise to make my rom as good as I can.
