I think somebody said WiFi didn't work... we need MOAR kernel source now.

Just tried. Seems faster than 2.23. Slightly, not much - may be placebo, no idea. Zeus 3.1.1 (the CWM one) works fine. CM11 also works fine with this baseband. More crap apps, I think. Overall, a meh update.

Today arrived in Germany too. Installed via PC Companion.

Yep, both work.

Well for me it runs very smooth now. I don't know why but in the 11.3.a.2.23 i had random cpu drops but now i don't. And some very very small fixes like when you put your sim pin when it says that the password was correct (or something like that), for me it was very dark but now it's not. But i am suprised that it still gets updates. The next thing that we want is a 4.4.x update XD

unable to download
can someone please upload the ftf to other site cuz i'm unable to download from mega due to poor net connection

DoT has blocked Mega in India.

Please make mirror link from d-h and for zues kernel too

Could someone upload an europian version of the FTF?

Question. Is this deodexed???? If it isn't, can you give me a proper way to deodex this rom, because when i tried to deodex the previous version 11.3.a.2.23 with xUltimate I always failed. It dind't recognize the rom of the phone. And then it just stopped working.

Wat? .33?
How is this possible? the official Sony page says the latest firmware is the 2.23... LOL
I'll try it tho

I do not think Sony has updated the page. But even there the updates, but does not have new features ...

I've created a link to download the EU version of 11.3.A.2.33 Unbranded FTF:

Google Drive Mirror:

Maybe you can put it in the OP?

Mega is DEAD in our country...if anyone has good internet please upload on Devdb ,Google drive or any sites which dont have premium download option
some report lower lag.... that may be just Placebo effect though... (from .23 to .33 not much to be happy about )
some say its for better Google play integration....
some say for the heartbleed

Not "a custom ROM". It's OmniRom!
Probably the only one that could make me come back to 4.4. I had it on my V, it's the best for people who like a real slim and lightweight, yet fully functional and stabil environment.
I did not like 4.4 except of course the improved camera. Then no separate GPS switch, Google disabled browser text re-flow, etc ... no idea why they do that but I think that's a downslope.
OmniRom = up-slope.
Will it be flashable for D2306? (LTE, Single Sim, South America model). I think its just bands are different from D2303. Can anyone confirm that?

I made a thread in talk.sonymobile asking the same thing as you, and they told me the same, the basebands are differents. The software remains the same, 'cause there's no dfiference between LTE connection (I don't mean about basebands, just the connectivity), Dual Sim or no LTE.
Waiting for it
waited for mod to move the thread
will build it overnight and put a dl link tomorrow
It will probably be alpha as audio is not working yet

Also: added gps fix in second post.
Place on sdcard. In twrp recovery, install --> up a level --> external_sd (wait for it to mount) choose omni-gps.zip
if it does not mount, place file on internal storage and flash from there

Omnirom 5.1.1 unofficial

So finally here it is, omnirom 5.1.1 for M2.
Changelog:
General:
sony kernel
omnirom
M2 specific:
device eagle
device yukon (msm8226 family)
Kernelsources for this rom you will find here
Installation:
In order to install one of my custom roms on your Sony Xperia, YOU MUST UNLOCK & UPDATE YOUR BOOTLOADER!
I wrote a little howto for installing, you will find it on this page of my website.
Known bugs:
camera
pink/green overlay on videoplayback
I labeled the rom as stable, even with the two bugs above. Imo these are value added services, phone is functioning rocksolid.
Known issues
There is an issue with a series of D230X / D240X devices with use different accelerometer and magnetometer then the device I have, and the FXP devs have. This issue is that the device bootloops. It is probably caused by the sensorhal which is provided by sony, i.e. we donot compile it from source.
There is a way to boot it, but you will have no sensors working (magno/accelero/proximity/light). This is relatively simple: Open up the zip (on win I advise 7zip), remove sensors.msm8226.so from system/vendor/lib/hw in the zip, and close the zip (click yes if prompted to save changes).
This issues kept me wake for weeks, but is yet not solved. You can read some more background info here
Awaiting all your feedback here. As I opted for D2303 to have official omni status, usefull input is important. But... Please donot report bugs without relevant logs and steps-to-reproduce. I will not look into that if I cannot reproduce it myself, if you report comes without a log
And at the end of this long story, we should not to forget to type a download link
>>>> DOWNLOAD HERE <<<<
Enjoy
Thanx are well in place for:
omnirom dev team
fxp dev team (especially to @kholk for simplifying things and @jerpelea for opening these opportunities for sony devices
@galaxyfreak
@Th3Ant (testing sensors over and over again)
my wife (there is allways enough coffee around here!)
And many I probably forgot but hey, this list is editable

Anyway, I think I made a typo in a configfile. So I will recompile again later.
On autobrightness it is working flawless, on non-autobrightness min and max are 180 and 255 atm
I think I need to lower 180 to some 10 (stock value)
Just tested on "old" D2403
No problems with proximity

hi there again...
I Just done installing lollipop with the ftf you told me, everything seems to be working right, at least when it comes to the user interface and the touchscreen seems to be okay... I still havent tested the battery or the camera because like I say I just finished the flashing and its night right here where I live, Im gonna test the camera tomorrow to see how it works and Im also be testing the battery.... anyway just wanted to say Thank you for the ftf you help me alot---
Edit: things I Have noticed so far...
- The icons seems to be way too big for me...is there a way to change the icon size? because i havent found that options on settings...
-Vibration on the capacitive buttons its also too strong that you can even hear the vibration even when the phone its in your hand.... is there a way to change it??
-Now i Just have 3.55 GB Avallable on the device when i used to have 5GB free every time I reset the phone.. again is this normal??
and Finally Inferior Light Bar is not working right, just turns on in 2 different colors, white and purple, and when I make a call just shows a white stripe, doesnt change the color acording with the theme you select... is this normal too??
well I know there are too many questions but like i said Im new on this and dont know too much about the flashing process and I would really apreciate if you could help out with this I would really grateful....
thanks in advanced
You'll need to give it a upto a week for the battery life to settle down after Updating so it can go through a few cycles of charging and discharging. As for internal memory don't forget art runtime takes alot more room up then dalvik ever did mine hovers between 2gb-2.5gb free space in internal memory but I also don't install/play games on my phone. Icons long press on home screen then option on the right to make smaller I think the vibration force was turned up slightly on 5.1

yeah i heard something about the ART architecture, that takes more space on the phone but in return, apss work faster an better...
I Dont know if its just me or is because I just Flashed the phone and that i gotta give the phone a couple of days to settle down to start work properly, but I also noticed that apps take waaay to much time to download and to get installed on the phone. Now, I know that with the ART arquitecture apps take more time when you install them in comparison with Dalvik... but is that also the reason why they take too much time to download? or it has something to do with the Wifi?? it might be coinsidense but right before i flashed the phone, I could use chrome normally, it loaded sites with ease, and now it seems to take forever to load a site when i use the internet or when I download something... again, it might be just me or it might be because i just flashed the phone but I just want to Know if its normal this behavior on the phone...
and also... is there a way to go back to KitKat in case I dont like the way Lollipop works?? and if so, the flashing process is the same?? thanks for your help I really apreciated....
Downgrading is the same flashing process but you must Always wipe clean the phone I.e user data and cache options in flashtool you must do this when going from 4.4.4 to 5.1.1 and from 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 to avoid bootloop. You need to give it a few days at least can't say I notice the difference with apps loading also if you flashed 18.6.A.0.175 there are a few bugs(most have fixes or workarounds) that are fixed in 18.6.A.0.182 there's no way I'd go back to KK and if you want xposed or to deodex it you'll need to use either gauravs deodexed z2 port or linuxct's z5 style rom(uses gauravs deodexed port) this is the only way on 5.1

+1 To Adrian's Answer, you'll need to attach to the PRF the flashable version of MultiRecovery in order to get a full recovery once updated. Pick it from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960688489

yea probably but really still laggy when playing games, i think RepeXpersiS Z2 or Z3 based on cm11 is the best choice with ZD kernel, smooth especially when playing games but in RepeXpersiS Z3 there's lockscreen problem that when you lock your phone and unlock it right away it needs like 7-12 sec to appear, i switched my profile to performance but that problem still there!!!?

Yeah nothing is perfect, right? Im on stock right now, after trying many roms and I actually find it smooth and almost perfect for our device. Now Im just waiting for cm13 official and Stryflex MM. If I install a Lollipop rom, I choose only official cm12.1 or Stryflex.

First you should install cm11 (it's should be compatible with the version of RepeXpersiS Z2)
For example if you have FXP331 CM11 just flash it and start it normally then go to recovery again and flash the RepeXpersiS which is compatible with FXP331 cm11
i really wanted to install RepeXpersiS Z3 which required FXP347 CM11 but i really didn't find any link to download

EDIT: successfully installed z3 edition with cm 11 20150301. Try it bro!!! This rom is so smooooooooth. Remember :get cm11 from FXP page and Use gapp provided by CyanogenMod on there wiki. I used another gapp and rom freezes. So smooooooooth

I didnt install zd. But I bet it would give a better performance. After install cm11 and gapp you boot and do the set up at the start. Go recovery again qnd flash z3 edition. The boot after it shows you the lockscreen, just swipe up to unlock and do sony set up guide. It might be a bit laggy at first boot

[ROM] NCS ROM v2.3

Nano ROM
Debloated Customized and Inspired
Hello Huawei user
Since the Galaxy S3 i build Custom ROMs, but i'm since then not known here.. Everyone that use my builds know, the ROM is almost completely debloated. Unfortunately Im not a fan of the whole content they build in, although less than others. Before i changed to huawei i had an S3 like mentioned before, and a Z2 from sony. Im here since mid of june, and appreciated so far with a very stable and bugfree P9. At this stage i start here with my projects for all users like to flash custom roms. My support is highly 2-3 years or until EOL from Huawei.

Im upload to other host, but i still dont know whats the best alternative for big files.
Fantastic, I'm gonna try this soon.
Kindly consider to use build 183 on your next update. I think the JPEG output is slightly improved in that build and the new Smart-E feature is kinda neat.
Thanks!

Thanks for the custom Rom Mate, always good to have more Options. But...nothing really to this, except saving One from the Work of rooting and uninstalling apps themselves? As far as I read your release Notes?

Hi @dkionline
I've had the pleasure flashing the ROM last night and been running it for more than 12 hours now.
Everything seems to work fine except for the Camera apps having issues launching twice today. It didnt launch and after multiple tries the screen went blank and I had to reboot.
Hope you can have a look on this. Thanks!
@darthkir, is yours L09 or another?
I know some apps can lag and stop running after a time like gallery and tapatalk. I look into it. Maybe bring a fix patch or build in next update.

Mine is a L19.
Should you considering another build, kindly look at B183. There is new feature added in the camera app and it seemed like the JPEG engine is a bit more matured.
okay @darthkir, ill check what i can do. They maybe changed camera libs.
Btw, whats the new feature? I got the firmware, but im lazy to use L09 not AL00 builds.

One that I can remember (if correct) is Object Recognition mode. Didnt have the time to test it out though.
Besides the Camera app, I can remember a new smart assitance feature called the Smart E. Something that can replace the navigation bar by using a single floating, widget-like thingy.
