Guys please recommend some good headphones or earphones for z1c.
Currently using - sennheiser - lx90 and sony stock earphones.
Requirement - A little loud ( Noise cancellation will do ) and compatible with z1c

I'm currently use both:
Meelectronics M-Duo (dual driver, one button +mic)
Xiaomy piston (single driver, 3 buttons + mic)
And they both works like a charm also all the buttons works (vol up/down or skip track).
Before i've used also a pair of bluetooth headphones: the Jabra Revo Wireless (no problem at all and same HIGH audio fidelity)

Hello,
I've also got a pair of Xiaomi Pistons V 2.0 and they're great. They're the best inearphones I've ever had and they're a lot better than my other inearphones such as Beats by Dre Urbeats and A-Jays One Plus.
Xiaomi Pistons works out of the box without the need of flashing a kernel, and does support volume control and such.
Make sure that you order from a trusted store such as PenonAudio or Ibuygou, there are a lot of counterfeits around. All of the ones sold on ebay are counterfeits.

You've gotta order them from Ibuygou.com or PenonAudio, they're only sold in China or online at some retailers. Ibuygou ships to India I think, but I'm not sure.

Just to make your decision a bit harder - have you ever looked at the hippoVB's? They were my first IEMs and I never really like any others after them. What i really love is that you can change some screws in the back to adjust the amount of bass. If you get some comply foam tips with them you can hear almost nothing from the outside world

Too many options ,
now Just recommend one of these
1-Sony sth30
2-Soundmagic e10
3-soundmagic e30
4- recommend your own which is available in india
it should be loud with bass as z1c lacks loudness
I am sorry for intruding here, but after it is often pointed out how good headphone X keeps ambient noise out, I want to ask if there are any suggestions for android-compatible quality in-ears (more buttons are better than less) that do not mute ambient sounds too much(?)
That is, I want to - of course - hear what comes from the speakers but still be able to have a little acoustic feedback from my surroundings (when I'm cycling in heavy traffic, to give just one example). I sometimes use the stock in-ears that came with the phone and don't like how I can't hear much besides what comes out of the tiny speakers (and occasionally my blood rushing and whatever funny bodily sound effects there may be).
Ordered SoundMagic E10's - Will Post a Review soon after they Come.
I got SoundMagic ES18, after i heard the awesome sound for 12 USD price ... ordered 2 extra to have backup for the backup
make sure u "burn" them a bit before listening. just play white noise sound on full vol overnight.
if you are rooted, also install the volume boost so you get more volume.
I was thinking of burning them with pink noise, could you please give me links for good burn in tracks and little more information on that

Soundmagic e10 , I was very disappointed. after all those reviews and awards they are nothing special, good but not great. my stock samsung inears sound louder and equal quality to them
i just got the xiaomi pistons v2 .. well the soundmagic es18 sound better to me.
using the same earplugs silicons to make sure its exact same seal in the ear.
really not impressed for the double the price of es18

Have you burned in your Pistons?
actually not, i gave them to my brother who used them for some days.
now i got em back and sound so much better than before.
still ES18 are quite close compared for the price tag.
to be sure, i will burn them today overnight with pink noise
Plz Somebody tell me a good inear earphones and headphones for my z1 compact, totally disappointed by the level of sound produced by them, way too low, Don't know why.
Currently i'm using
Sound magic ES18 (loudness ok which vanishes as bass part comes)
Razer electra ( Clear but lacks loudness )
Sony v55 ( whispering)
I'm currently planning to buy piston v2, will be there any significant change over es18.
If not is it possible to connect external sound card through otg to this ****ty phone, if yes plz tell me the name of sound dac.

I use my headsets about 80% of the time... that said the oem headsets are not as loud as I would like them to be. They are ok and just that.
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good audiophile headsets for around $50-$70 bucks? I saw Zagg has some but I didn't like that the volume on the headset used a sliding mechanism. I would have preffered a rocker or buttons.
I liked the zagg because it had the mic and everything. I wouldn't buy a headset without the mic for my phone.
I do use the phone as a media player (movies & music) so does anyone have any sites I could check out?

Headphone.com is my go-to source for headwear. There's a bunch of headset options in your price range.
look up Grado. they make great headphones... they have entry levels in your price range if you find them on sale.
here's a good site:
http://www.audioadvisor.com/products.asp?dept=45&sort_on=title&sort_by=&view_all=true
they're also on amazon for the same price.
Check the impedance (given in ohms)
The volume issue most likely has to do with impedance. Headsets with high impedance will have less volume than those with lower impedence. Higher impedance models will tend to last longer, though. Just something else to keep in mind.

shure has headphones made for phone usage with mic and such built in.
I've got Ety's, Shure, v-moda, Sony, Bose, etc and I keep coming back to these:

I have the ones without the inline control, but I think I'm going to get these or go back to Bluetooth with the Motorola S-10 HD when those come out on the 28th.
Will these work for sure on the G2?? Looks like I'm going with these...
The grado's are too expensive with a mic. Its redick and the reviews I have read aren't that positive compared to the sonys.

I haven't had a chance to use those specifically, as I have the "normal" version of those to listen with (and they sound great with nice, tight bass). I went to test my v-modas with my G2, and they keep launching Subsonic rather than the stock music app, but I assume that it works just like it did on my Nexus One. The volume buttons will NOT work on the Sonys (or any others that are for the iPhone 3GS/4), but the call button should work with the music player and answer phone calls.
Kicker makes some of the best headphones. I have the EB91M. The fit very deep in my ear and have tons of bass. I got the M series so I would have a mic to use with my G2.

I have V-Moda Vibe Duos for awhile now. They've went through 3 designs the past 3 years I think. So far, the headset works pretty well but the headphones are more tuned for dance music meaning you'd have to boost midtones in the EQ to flatten the spectrum you hear. Otherwise, it has been pretty good so far.
A pair should set you back $40 - $70 depending on where you find them sold.
whenever this conversation comes up, I have to pimp the Head-Direct RE0.
$350+ sound for ~$70
I currently use:
Sony Ericsson MW-600 Stereo Bluetooth headsets -- they have a mic clip with OLED display that clips to your shirt and a stereo jack to use any headphones you want to it. They work great. Also has an FM Tuner built-in if you want to use that and can pair to two BT devices at once.
I also use Sony MDR-NC7 noise canceling headphones. They are fairly inexpensive for what they are -- $50-$70 USD (I paid 50 at Target). They have decent noise cancellation and are very comfy for long airplane rides. Sound quality is above average. Great for the price, but its not the best.
As far as earbuds, I use the ones that come with my SE BT headset and they sound pretty good. Again, not great, but good enough. The real limit factor is the phone itself. It's not the best audio player in my opinion.
Where can I find these?

NOTE: There is no microphone, which might make this pointless.
Also, if you want accurate sound reproduction, these are EXCELLENT. However, if you need ear-drum bursting bass, look elsewhere. I can honestly say these phones are some of the most accurate I've ever used, and I've bought some EXPENSIVE cans in my day.

any comment here... is LG compatible with some other brand like Sony, iPhone, Samsung or Nokia?
Yeah, I'd like to know that too. It would be nice to have these controls.
Well, i can report that the Sony Ericsson handset that i have doesnt work, the iPhone headset mic doesnt seem to work either but the buttons kind of do.

I've been testing some nokia in-ear headphones i had , but they doesn't work properly, you can listen only one channel, if you press and hold the button you can listen in stereo.
I lost my favorite headphones, so i've been using the stock ones.
I'm surprised, they are not that bad.
I find that they dont fit in your ear properly, but that could be just me since I've been using in-ear for the past few years.

lg headphones dont fit in my ears too.. sound quality is acceptable but they are uncomfortable
I Got In-Ears!
Indian package has IEM's!
Are comfortable and have good noise isolation too. But just have one button. So track change is possible but not volume change.
Sound Quality is surprisingly good. Low frequencies are punchy. I use them regularly. They seem to be made for each other as high end IEM's are not good for O1. Show up the deficiencies in the output of the Device!
Any guesses to how long the battery will last for music playback?
I think it can go like 20-30 hrs with other radio functions minimized.

I just hazarded a guess as to what the backup might be with the radios turned off. It may well be beyond 40 hrs with that monster of a battery.
As for sound quality i use PowerAMP. Allows me to tweak the sound a bit with the EQ.
And what i mean abt high end IEM was that they are useless on O1 as teh O1 itself does not output audiophile quality sound. So if someone needs absolute quality, they may do well to look at Cowon's range of PMP's but for a daily use mp3 player, O1 is good. I anyway dont like carrying my expensive IEM on overcrowded public transport. Too much snagging of wires has me concerned!

Why is LG partial to India! I mean its not like the earbuds are a big, expensive add-on. They could have just as easily added them to the world wide packages. From what i know the world packages dont contain the pouch too.
Then again, you guys get the phone for free or for $30US odd(or is it contract free in Romania?). While here its contract free and for $260US.
Anyway, its good for LG to setup the phone and package in a manner taht the end user can directly use teh phone. Screen protector applied, check. Pouch, check. 2Gb card, check. Decent earphones, check!
Thank you LG!

After checking this headset out on the internet I got one too, thanks for the tip! It works perfectly, sound quality is awesome, it is extremely comfortable.
There are just two things which I need to figure out:
1. How to switch off the annoying blue LED indicator light while using it? It is so annoying when you are sitting on a bus, or on some other public transport and it lits up every couple of seconds. I hate it. I painted it black, put ducktape on it, but it is still visible.
Do you know if there is a way to turn this off somehow?
2. Can you use your P500 to do voice activated dialling with the headset? I tried pushing the multifunction button for a couple of seconds but than it turns off. If i press it once, it just beeps but nothing happens. If i press it twice after each other it dials the last number.
Can the P500 and android 2.2 in general do voice dialing?
Other than these two issues, I strongly recommend this headset for anyone, they are absolutely fantastic!
Peace
I'm also looking for a replacement for the bundled IEMs. Two things I dislike about them are - 1. The sound feels muddy/overwhelming bass compared to the Soundmagic PL11 I possess & 2. The mic has that teeny weeny flimsy button.
I considered the ME Electronics M2p M9p etc., the Soundmagic MP21 but they too seem to have that flimsy mic module as well. I'd prefer IEMs to headphones because of the portability offered by the former.
So can anyone suggest something along these lines? Maybe there is an adapter, or a Sony/Nokia mic module with a 3.5mm jack which will work? Thanks a lot.
PS - I'm from India & my budget is ~1500 INR
I bought Plantronics 216 In ear, but mic is not working and volume keys neither. Track control is working well and sound quality is good too, though.

I've been using Ultimate Ears 170vi and i am getting UE 220vi from eBay, seller artistic.life. They're good for me.

The middle button will work fine. Not sure about the mic. I know that the volume won't work.
Try http://www.sennheiserusa.com/headphones . I have CX500 for 2 years already and i`m happy with it.
I occasionally use the Sony Ericsson MW600 if you are looking for a wireless alternative. The tracks do not read on the unit itself (it's a SE thing) but the buttons work. Added bonus is that the MW600 has a built in FM radio in it so you can use it that way as well. And for that FM feature, the display does work. I have used this with my Nexus One and now my Sensation from time to time.
Im waiting for the Klipsch S4a's to come out also, emailed them and they said they shall be available towards the end of this month to order in the UK.
Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket
They sound and look amazing IMO and are ok priced at 25£

Arctic Sound E361 In-Ear Headphones with Mic
Just purchased a pair of the Etymotic HF2's.
Excellent bit of kit. Don't listen to the people who say theres no bass. My head shakes with the bass Most people think there is less bass because these earphones are so clean. Cleaner bass, less distortion (Some people mistake this distortion for their thumping bass)
You do need to bed them in a little. I've only used them for about 10 hrs and can already hear the improvement. To be fair the medium flanged plugs fitted my ears perfectly and isolated the sound pretty well(Other people aren't so lucky). They do disappear into my ears about 2cm into my ears but for me they are pretty comforable!
I had a pair of the Shure SE210's (No Mic) and I thought these were pretty good, they are definitely not as good as the Etymotics
Haven't tested the mic much but appears to work pretty well so far.
There is just one button on these. One click for pause/play, two for next track, three for previous track. Works pretty well in my opinion
Would highly recommend!!
I picked up a pair of Klipsch S4As
They're pretty nice. Though not as nice as my UE Triple Fi 10s 8)

I got the beats ones with the phone...
I'm a bit of an audiophile, so I didn't have high hopes; considering the whole beats thing is a bit of a fad. Was going to stick to my shure ones, drawback... Lack of remote.
However,I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the beats ones, and the remote/mic is a bit of a God send.
Only drawback, no volume control on em. Also, the hideous red cable. But the in ears are comfortable. So I'll be trying them for day to day, and using my shure for checking recordings (musician, you see)
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE Z715e
I am using a pair of AKG K340 in-ear headphones with mic and music control. The audio quality is really brilliant but they aren't great in staying in your ear, a little heavy I guess
Beat earphones are for rap and rnb fans but for rock and trance...
Anyway any earphones + mic for iphone will work on sensation?
I picked up a pair of S4As, It's pretty good, you can also customize what each button press does.
Guys, maybe that's a stupid question, so please don't laugh too hard
Since the Razer Moray uses an adapter to convert the two 3,5mm jacks into one 3,5mm jack to fit into the phone, is it universally possible to do this?
e.g. buy the Sennheiser PC 300 G4me and then hook it up with something like this?
Will the phone be able to use the microphone? Of course, there would be no way to take a call by pressing a button...

I recently bought and tried the MH-EX300AP headset, first of all they worked :good: as for sound quality they're quite standard, just like the ones you'd get with older Xperia's (e.g. my WT19i headset quality was same). But they're cheap which is good.
The MH750 seems a lot better, it is more expensive, so may be better. Although I haven't tried them for myself.

I would like to provide my comparison between the mh750 and the ex300ap. (note: my phone is a HTC one X, previous phone was a SONY Xperia P with which i got the mh750. Later bought another pair to compare with the ex300ap, both of em purchased from ebay.in.
Bass on the mh750 is more mostly because of the fact that there is no leakage of air between the driver and the ear drums once inserted (this is the reason why both the mh750 and the mh1 is so painful in the ear. Especially the vacuum effect while pulling out). The ex300 on the other hand has a very different design. The way it enters the ear and the way it remains there is something to praise. I didnt know inears can be comfortable too until i tried these. The vacuum effect is nil, insertion is easy and it stays put without causing any irritation. Although i would advice to use a smaller earbud (take from your previous inear sets maybe, as extra ear buds arent provided with this). This helps to insert it much deeper. And unlike the mh750, inserting it deeper isnt painful as the air gets out to maintain normal pressure, same goes for taking it out, no more POPing when pulling it out. Volume is a bit less (vs mh750), but not too less either. Am using it on my HTC One X and i cant reach max volume without the risk of experiencing pain, so its good enough. Overall signature of the sound is kinda dull (although not as dull as the pathetic sounding mh750). Clarity and mids are more pronounced in the ex300 so definitely its an upgrade in sound 'quality' but this doesnt mean its perfect. Better than mh750 yes.... but sound quality isnt something to write home about. I have a sennheiser HD202 so i know the meaning of clarity. Using the ex300 on flat eq is not advisable. Rather apply a U shape eq or 'rock' eq to get a much much better experience (keep the mids untouched if possible, basically make the U shape 'above' the base frequency line on the equalizer, not through it). The ex300 is more flexible with equalizers than mh750 which no matter how you mess with it the output just doesn't sound pleasing. The thing that makes the ex300 stand out is its wider soundstage. I have used all stock earbuds of all the manufacturers (sony, HTC, samsung, LG, nokia) and these are the best in this aspect. The sound will keep getting better till it reaches full burn in. I just recently bought the ex300ap. Build quality wise the plug on the ex300 is much better while the cable is thicker on the mh750. Quality of cable on the ex300 isnt bad but can be snapped easily by the looks of it. Cant expect any better for the price. The larger 13.5mm driver does make a difference as the sound seems more fuller, kinda like am listening to a over ear headphone. There is no distortion on high volume or bass. Has the ability to extend very deep (as far as 15hz). Bigger driver also gives a very obvious advantage. That is if the earbud does get a bit loose, the sound doesnt go too quiet or too low on the bass in an instant like other headsets. This keeps us from fidgeting with the earphone too much to get that 'perfect' fix or sound every time you move your head. So basically am very happy with it.
Mind you, am only making these comparisons with stock earphones only because these are very good value for money and are more useful (having mic and button as an added extra). Very cheap price just makes it impossible to complain about anything at all. Each of the above can be had for much less than 10$ on ebay (Ebay india cost for ex300ap is 300-500 INR, the mh750 200-400 INR). THAT cheap.
If i am to rate the two then here goes,
Bass: 4 star to the mh750/ 3.5 star to the ex300
Mids: 2.5 vs 3
Treble: 1.5 vs 2.5.
Am basing the above rating to my sennheiser HD202 which is my current best for the type of music i prefer. Usually all those R&B, HipHop, pop, rock, country, bollywood (basically everything that doesnt have mad men shouting in it like those heavy metal kinds).
I buyed ex300ap from Ebay..the voice quality was pathetic. The pairs you are getting in 500 from ebay whether it is mh750 or ex300ap,they are not original.they are oem product.

First of all am not stupid. I made it 100% sure to know its not oem and later after receiving I compared it to a friend's ex 300ap that came with his Z and they are cent per cent same. Same plastic cover, same design, same cable, same plug, same material, original tag with 16 digit serial numbers n all.
And as for the sound I did say it's not good enough without eq but compared to mh 750 it's a mile ahead in sound quality and light years ahead in comfort. I can't even tell its inside my ears.
My point is, if you want to decide between the mh750 and ex300ap.... Go for the latter.

Oh and please note the fact that the kind of sound am enjoying now has lots of factors working upon it such as,
1. HTC Beats Audio (my phone is HTC One X endevoru)
2. 'Nrg player' with following settings,
Bass boost: 10
Treble boost: 2
Reverbration: 7
Pre Amp limit: 8%
Custom Equalizer with; 14-10-0-0-2-7-7-5-8-11 (from top to bottom i.e low to high frequency, hence first 14 is for 32hz and last 11 is for 16k hz).
Anyone with HOX should try above settings on this headphone, I bet you won't listen to any other (first of all because of the tonality and second of all the COMFORT).
---------- Post added at 01:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:11 PM ----------
Why not power amp you may ask but I just don't like the tonality of poweramp. Nrg player reverbration makes music very comfortable to listen to. Poweramp although is best to squeeze every single drop of a device's potential but I would rather use it with music systems and external speakers, not inears. Stereo separation sucks in PowerAmp (it's surround effect thing is pathetic ).

That's a nice piece of review/info brother..thanks. Actually i was quiet confused on listening both pairs of headsets that which one was actually sounding better. :cyclops:
It sucks a big time bro. Buy beats instead.
hey guys just lost my note 4 samsung headphone that i was very happy with. what kind of headphones are you guys using and where are you guys getting them from. definitely not trying to break the bank
Klipsch S4A (II) because I read on What hifi that they have a good performance / price ratio. After almost 4 years of daily use and abuse still working perfectly.
I use Xiaomi Piston 2.0, cheap and they do the job.

As an IEM I'm using the Ultimate Ears UE900, On Ear Beyerdynamic dt1350 and at home Beyerdynamic T90.
Both UE900 and dt1350 I'm using with Viper4Android and headphone correction filters
Been running my Shure 215s for a few months now. Fantastic IEMs with detachable cords and a nice warranty. Can go wrong for $100.

There're two models. I have second version which is better. (less likely to break the cables)
For over-ear headphones I'd use my current (albeit pricey pair)- Sony MDR 1RNC
Alternatively for in-ear headphones, try Sennheiser Momentum IN Ear earphones- they're fantastic and you can get them with an in-line mic.
Just make sure you buy the ones specifically for Android as there is also a pair compatible with Apple in line controls.

First, do you mean Headphone or Earphone?
If you mean Earphone, do you need inline remote?
If you need the remote, Samsung's OEM Earphone is quite good.
Earphone
Budget : Mid-Hi
Sony Earphones is great, just browse online for your preferred price/quality ratio.
Philips Earphone. Also browse online for price/quality ratio
Sennheiser Earphones
Headphones
Budget : Hi
Sony MDR-10R (with inline remote)
Sony MDR-1R (with inline remote)
Sony MDR-1A (with inline remote)
Sony MDR-1RBT (Bluetooth with remote)
Sony MDR-1ABT (Bluetooth with remote)
Philips Fidelio Series
Sennheiser Momentum Series
Logitech Ultimate Ears Series
I'm using Sony MDR-1ABT for now & it costs around USD400.
I get it from an online shop in my country.
I choose Sony MDR-1ABT because :
It has great battery life, around 30 hours of nonstop music play
It has a great audio quality
It has cable option
It support High Fidelity / High Definition audio (24Bit 194KHz) through cable
It support near HiFi quality through Bluetooth
Great look
Comfortable Earpad for long time usage
Can be used for answering phone
It has NFC for quick connect
Battery can be replaced if it's broken (non user replaceable though, but I can do that )

I'm currently using a pair of Ausdom earphones. I used to hunt good quality earphones at cheap price from SlickDeals.
When on the road, I need something reasonable in every aspect, reasonable in price and performance. The earphones that meet those criteria for me are Sony MH-1 and Xiaomi Pistons 2.1. The Sonys are a little more bassy, but the older, cheaper models (the MH-1Cs I think) need a OMTP to CTIA adaptor (dirt cheap) to work correctly. The Xiaomi pistons are incredibly beautiful to me, have great feel and built quality and they are equally cheap.
When at home, I use the Nokia WH-930 by Monster, good enough for me.
Here is the king of low budget earphones : https://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=8320
They are $5 right now and according to several tests, you will hardly find anything better for less than $30.
I am using the stock ones and they're quite good.
I find the stock ones pure garbage. Using shure se215.
I have been using the new Vmoda wireless. Awesome bluetooth headset!!
http://v-moda.com/crossfade-wireless/
RE-400 by HiFi-man.
About $100 CAD and sound amazing.
Just brought Aukey Bluetooth 4.1 earbuds. Good sound quality and nice texture. Now £12.99 with code. You could find the code on the amazon product page.
