I use the ROM AOSPA Legacy 4.4-Final...
I cannot see SIM contacts... Any solution to the problem?
Have you tried going to Contacts> (3 dot menu)> import/export>import from SIM card??
It works fine for me...
My complain is the low music volume when I'm using headset....

Instead of that you can first backup all contacts!
Then in internal storage Copy the PIM folder to external SD!
Now, your contacts are backed up!
Now, you can format your phone!
Now, after installing a new ROM, you should copy the PIM folder from External SD to internal storage!
And, then restore your contacts from internal SD!:highfive:

Is there a way to install the apps to the internal storage instead of the sd card? I remember awhile ago there was an option on CM that allowed internal/external settings. I can't finder it anymore. My sd card is only 1gb taken from my old G1.

Which rom are you using right now?
If you're on stock (based) ROM, then you can use ADB/terminal to issue the command pm setInstallLocation 1 to force apps to use the internal storage, if on CM7 the option is under CM Settings => Application => Install Location
In CM if we set it to internal will apps install on the internal sd card or on the internal rom (is that the right word im looking for?)?
They'll be in /data/app, so what you would call 'internal ROM'
Thank you that's exactly what I was looking for

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if there's a way to move apps to the internal sd card (not internal ROM)?
I have a 16gb class 10 microsd card but i want to use all that space for music. That 5gb internal sd card is just sitting there, i'd really want to use it for app installation space.
Any clues?
I think you have to change the setting to internal and reinstall the apps

If so you can use the zip from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144553
Flash the one that says it makes external secondary. It will mount your internal sdcard as /sdcard and will mount your external as a folder /sdcard/_ExternalSD
G2X CM7
Thanks. I think that did the job!
I am going to replace the 2 gb memory card with a 16 gb memory card. But before that I need to take a back up of phone contacts & sms from internal memory. There are some contacts saved in the 2 gb card as well.
How can I back up and where can I store it ?

Export your contacts on single csv file. For sms, use sms backup and restore app from play store and take backup. Copy the smsbackuprestore folder as it is to your new card as well as contact files.

I will remove the 2 gb card, so how can I restore it to the new 16 gb card ?
it will be in your sd card only.
don't worry it will find those files and restore the messages.

OK, but when I remove that and put the new card, there won't be any files as its on the old card. I'm confused.
Hey, guys! I think I need you help here! I have accidentally deleted some phone photos that have been taken with my families. I have remembered all of them have been stored on the inner memory card, not phone internal memory card. So, it is possible for me to get back all my deleted pictures? Any idea could be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
If your just trying to recovery deleted files from and SD card? Try:

My ways may help you out:
1). Keep this phone memory card way from any newly taken photos or new files in case of any data loss.
2). Connect this card to your computer with a card Reader.
3). Try to restore your lost memory card photos back with a phone card data recovery program, like 4Card Recovery, Recuva, PhotoRec and more.
4). Save and back up all restored photos on another drive or place in case of data loss.
Note: Never format a phone memory card without data backup again.

Yeah your SD card has to be Fat32 so you didn't say the name for the ROM so im guessing your on a CM but anyways use this program then format to Fat32 then it should be there Or if that doesn't work then format it .

Yes. You can copy the files over to another computer, format the card in the phone, and then transfer the files back however. Of course those write speeds can be pretty slow, so expect it to take a while if you have a lot of information stored on the card.
OK well I am not sure how to change my SD card Ro Fat32.. And I went to settings to format it and it does nothing. Right now I'm on stock ROM. The content of the SD card comes up like pics and all but when I go into recovery it doesn't let me change over to the card to save or restore... Any ideas?

I want to select my external SD card as the download location for Google Play Music. There should be an option in settings to do this, but it is missing on mine. However, under "Manage Downloads" it shows 30gb available, so it knows my external SD card exists. I've tried to create a link from my internal storage to my SD card using Root Browser, but it fails and tells me that some systems and SD cards don't support symbolic links.
I'm running CM11 and my SD card works perfectly in every other application.
I really need help on this one
Thanks in advance

I'm nearly sure there's an xposed mod for this. At one point I think there was an update from Google that it would have the ability to save to the external SD but somehow they managed to screw it up
