Install Stock rom - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i want to install the stock rom back in my razr hd
my question is should we flash the same carrier region rom or any other will also work
actually i don't know which region my phone belongs also i don't have the box
any help is appreciated

Try searching some of the info in settings/about phone to see if you can determine the proper ROM. Some others may work, I'm not positive, but they may not work properly.
It is best to flash the correct ROM if at all possible.

Most practical way of Unroot is to install new firmware for your phone.
pls open your phone on download mod and install original stok firmware.

[Q] Update to 2.3.6 from non-stock kernel

Hi
I know the question has probably been asked multiple time but I can't find the answer. I have a I9020T with a custom kernel which seems to blocks the stock OTA update (Android 2.3.4/GRJ22 to Android 2.3.6/GRK39F).
What is the simplest way to update, I have a full titanium backup but would prefer not to use it.
Just a link to a thread with the answer would be greatly appreciated
One way is to use Rom Manager .. scroll down to stock Rom and flash the 2.3.3 ... brings stock everything...=]
Edit: I'm using the i9020A Model... but I guess it will recognize ur model when using Rom manager

You need to supply more details such as what ROM you are trying to put on, CWM version you are using hboot version and any other relevant information specific to your phone. No one can help you if you don't supply any specific information

added a video. cmw 6.0, and MIUI 8.2.31 custom rom installed. I would like to. phone is locked, and the freezing happens a problem at all. After 1 or 2 seconds after the lock is locked reset. I've had the same problem in cm-10 custom rom. When I install the original rom, but do not have a problem at all. When I install the original rom ics sense trouble using 3.0 and 3.6.

Have you tried updating your firmware version? Have you made sure you are using the correct version of the ROM?

Question about custom Rom

Hello Guys
I have a Samsung S5830i phone with Gingerbread.XXLI1. I have rooted the phone successfully. I want to installed RazerDroid Rom. The link is as follows :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816611. It says that it can be installed from Stock Rom. Is XXLI1 Stock Rom???
Please advise.
Hello girish78,
as far as I know is this the latest Stock Firmware.
I'm new to this but if I'm not mistaken, it depends on the baseband version the rom is based on. Even though yours XXLI1 and its stock, i think there are many more with stock roms for your phone with different baseband versions. I think you should try to ask the developer of the rom to avoid any problems.
Sorry if this wasnt helpful.

Is your cwm fully working? Check if it can back up and restore, back up your rom then restore it. If it works then i think it will be ok to install the rom because you have a back up incase anything goes wrong. Remember, there are still risks involved. I went to the link and done some reading, theres no baseband info specified. Goodluck buddy:thumbup:

Rafael Baugis Kernel Update
Hi All
I want to update the kernel and the process mentions me to install boot.img, then install Rom and then install the module. Check this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818830
Cannot I just install the module to update the kernel????
Please advise.
Its generally a good idea to follow the instructions given by the developer it might work for you if you try it your way but it would really suck if it doesnt. follow the given instructions rather:thumbup:

[Q] big problem

guys i have abig problem i root my s3 then i install 4.2.2 firmware then suddenly i see jewish things and apps and i tried to unroot it using unrooting apps but it doesn't work and when i go to status in setting it says my status is custom not modified please help i hate this strange thing
We don't have 4.2.2 firmware...?

ITs a very big problem. It sounds like you have fallen into a temporal anomaly. I suggest you hit warp 9.9 and slingshot back to our time frame , where stock is 4.1.2.
THen tell us what you installed to invoke the temporal anomaly and maybe we can help.

OK there isn't a 4.2.2 firmware available yet for this phone unless you have the international version of the device. If that's the case then you are in the wrong thread.
I used to feel sorry for those that flashed an international rom on the Verizon model of the s3 but after seeing all the threads from people doing it I just laugh now and wonder when they will learn to read the device titles.

He might have installed CM or AOKP. In any case b4 you start flashing ROMs on your phone you should know which carrier you are with and what is your phone model, there are 5-6 different models. Each carrier has his model plus the euro I-9300. Then flash the appropriate rom for the phone or carrier, also have backups of the stock ROMs for ODIN if anything like this happens again. And PLEASE read and read and read b4 you flash again.
