Except for the App is missing Launcher Intents, everything is awesome

Yep, launcher intents are missing. But I started it from adb somehow. Looks good. BTW, when you upload the sources, may I add it to Pure app?

Awesome app bro...will include it in my upcomming rom for s dous if i have permissions...
I will not add other apps for single single tasks ...now everything is under one roof [ app ]

Working flawless on my s3 mini with CM11 Keep up bud:laugh::good:

I'm assuming that installing the apk doesn't magically give you free performance.
Anybody care to give us some top 5 settings to mess with? A guide somewhere?
Also, is there any drawback when using this?

Can this be used on any android phone on any ROM?

Working good on Xperia J.

Yeah, I'd also like to know recommended settings for performance over battery life. And how is this better than No-fils CPU control?

awesome work, runs perfect for me on gingerbread, looks great too and is stable, cooool.

Works great on PA 4.42 (July 9th build) for d2lte (Galaxy S3)
I like how sleek this app is for managing kernel/vm/performance settings. Beats anything else I've tried. :good:

Having problems with it working well with others
It's not the apps fault, but it doesn't work well with other tweaking apps, like xposed's android tuner. I guess someone wants to be first, and there's a conflict with it. By itself, it works good on gingerbread, but other tweaking apps can throw it off. When I used it, the slowdowns were incredible, and I had to uninstall it, and wipe any mention of it, from my phone. Before I did that, I froze xposed, and tried again, freezing gone, but I rely on android tuner to give me more control than yours offers(plus I paid for the paid wersion). All in all, it's good, but maybe one day I'll use it on a phone, that doesn't use gingerbread.

My report:
(1) I just set a new value on my Minfree. But when I re-opened PACPerf, it's still shows my default Minfrees. Curious, like a cat, I looked at the values on it's original location (sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree), and surprisingly, it shows my new values instead of my default one (which shows on PACPerf). Can you kindly check this bug.
(2) The colors in the Header is really irritating. Can you just set it on one color? (Preferably Black).
(3) The VM options are quite few, I guess. Is it really that few? Cause I don't see additional VM options like panic_on_oom or overcommit_mem...
:good:

Does this app use xposed framework in any way?
Is this app compatible with ART or it will break the ART?
I am running SlimKat 5.10, will it work on that?
How much adverse effect on the battery can expected?

1 - Don't think so, it isn't in my xposed, it is an app.
2 - I don't think you can break ART. If it is not compatible with ART, then it just won't work most likely.
3 - Try it and see?
4 - No adverse affect on battery. If anything, as you are tweaking the system to work better, you should see an improvement in battery, but that all depends how you use your device.

No frills CPU control is for controlling CPU frequency and this app already have that + other options

1. Its not a bug its a feature, In original PACPerformance app all values is set to default everytime you start the app.
2. Its from PACMAN rom and its cool :fingers-crossed:
3. It depends on what kernel you are using

Have noticed settings not sticking at boot despite being set to do so. Worked a couple of times, got the popup to tell me it has set on boot, but not since then. And settings also seemed to reset while phone was active as well one time.
LG G2 - 4.4.2 Stock

It worked on an lg optimus dynamic with area 51 ROM, kinda cool as I didn't know the ROM wasn't tuned for reads to what I find smooth via trial and error. Works for me though thanks.

[ROM] Gumbo 1.5c

Dedicated thread for Gumbo ROM 1.5c.
This is the final version of Gumbo ROM, and my final 1.5 ROM. All future development from me will be with the kernel, or 1.6 or higher. I've listened to the requests, and some changes have been made. Please read each section carefully and decide how you would like to install.
Core ROM
Gumbo ROM 1.5c FULL
http://www.4shared.com/file/217703299/5734fe53/Gumbo-15c-signed.html
This ROM has everything the stock ROM has. All HTC apps and widgets, all Sprint software. The apk files have been taken from the RUU, zipaligned and left as-is. Any and all themes designed for the Sprint Hero should flash right over without issue. The most asked for feature was plain SenseUI and let the user download themes of their liking.
Gumbo ROM 1.5c BARE
http://www.4shared.com/file/217809392/5fcf1f5d/Gumbo-15c-BARE-signed.html
This ROM has the bare components of SenseUI. It is basically vanilla plus the following:
HTC keyboard+dictionary+calibration app
HTC settings
HTC dialer
HTC people app
HTC calendar
HTC Social Networking
It has no SenseUI look and feel, 3 homescreens and the Cupcake launcher. People asked for this, so I did my best to deliver.
Both of these are using the new kernel and ramhack with settings designed to give the best balance. Setcpu or the User defined settings pack below is highly recommended, but not mandatory.
Individual components
Addon package
http://www.4shared.com/file/217066924/63bf81ee/Gumbo-addons-signed.html
This ROM contains the following:
Mount USB app for one click USB mount/unmount
Carmode - when active all incoming calls are answered by speakerphone
Quickboot - reboot normally or into recovery with this app
Smooth Calendar Widget - an alternative to the HTC Calendar widget that shows more than one entry.
Cube Launcher app from Samsung - a cool 3d cube media launcher
These applications will be installed into the /system partition to save space for other applications. They will not be updatable from the Market, but it saves app space and makes sure you have a working version for Gumbo 1.5c
SenseUI package
http://www.4shared.com/file/217811195/3afb5fcf/Gumbo-Sense-signed.html
This is Full SenseUI to install on Gumbo-1.5c-BARE should you have the need. This is stock look and feel, completely themeable
Sprint addons
http://www.4shared.com/file/217068259/bec5f346/Gumbo-Sprint-signed.html
All Sprint applications to flash over Gumbo-Bare should you have the need.
User defined CPU settings
http://www.4shared.com/file/217068290/6bac04ee/Gumbo-userconfig-signed.html
This is for those that would rather not use setcpu, but would like to change their CPU and RAM parameters, Flash this over Gumbo 1.5c and pull the /system/init.d/gumbo.sh file to edit. The file is well commented and easy to understand how to edit.
Dropbear was removed from Gumbo. If enough people need it back, I can build a stand alone update for it. This was done to save space, as not many people who were asked were using Dropbear.
Apps2SD is still enabled and working as before,
This version includes the latest Gumbo kernel and RAM hacks. By default they are set to a balanced mix of speed, stability and battery life using settings reported to work the best by testers. Should you want to change these settings, install setcpu or the User defined CPU settings addon above, or use the echo command to change the parameters yourself.
Enjoy, and please ask if you need any clarification.
Why call it Gumbo?
People keep asking, so I'll answer here. Gumbo is a type of stew (a delicious type) that can be made with any leftovers or any type of meat and veggies. Hell, I've had rattlesnake gumbo and it was delicious. HTC/Google/Sprint basically took a mix of 1.5/1.6 and whatever else they had laying around to get Android to run on a CDMA radio. Combine a mix of everything with Google's food naming obsession, and Gumbo was the result.

Looks good. I'll try it out later tonight.
Downloading now and going to flash be back with the details!
I'm doing a complete wipe and trying it out now. Thanks again for all the hard work and keeping a thread here.
Question?
Is the Custom kernel installed on here already or would I neeed to flash that also

As you can see, I've customized it a little more to my liking. But, for those who wondered if Expresso would work, I can confirm that it does. So do the 2.1 icons and Clear screen!
This has to be your best ROM yet, absolutely incredible work! Extremely smooth and extremely fast.
Is the CPU governor set to "ondemand" by default in this ROM?
I flashed the BARE plus addons plus userconfig. Works fine, except that the Cube launcher FC's when it tries to launch another application.
No biggie, don't see the point to it anyway.
Didn't have the problem described over on AndroidSpin with the clock, either.
Is this better than FRESH 1.1?
Can someone post a mirror. Please

Heh. I hate that cube thingy too. Believe it or not quite a few folks loved it and asked to keep it in. Guess they will be dissapointed that it FC's
I think that was just the first few people who got the clock bug. Left out the weather app and forgot the clock depends on it with the htc framework.

[APP][2.2+] SysteMon, notification panel system monitor. Expanded JB notifications!

This is my first attempt at android and java coding, I think it's shaping up nicely and would love your comments and suggestions.
It's a notification panel CPU, memory and network usage monitor, loosely modeled on the gnome panel system monitor. It shows free memory and highest cpu usage app. It also shows the top CPU using process and the top 5 as an expanded notification on JB.
I plan to release a free version and a paid one with extra features, once out of beta I'll turn this into an unlocker, so if you install this one now you'll get the extra features then.
So, what do you think?

I know GPU tracing was added in JB, I'm not sure if it's exposed to the OS or only available via debugging, I'll look into it. Changing the colors is being worked on.
I've updated the version in the play store with some checks that could have caused your FCs, so please, if you get them again, use the send report feature.
I've just posted an updated version on the Play Store, that adds a lot of new features:
Expanded notifications on JB, that show the top 5 CPU using processes.
Separate update intervals for graphs and top.
Notification priority selection.
Would love to get some more feedback from you guys.
Installed and running nice

Just one thing: it makes the led of my stock note 2 blink after a reboot, even when I stop the app in the settings and set it to not start on reboot. Starting and then stopping the app via the settings resolves the problem. I have to add though that I have light flow installed, so that might have something to do with it.

That's a weird one, I tried lite flow on my galaxy nexus and it's not triggering anything on reboot. In fact, disabling start on boot it should not do anything as the receiver checks the preference and exits if false.
I've just posted a new version to the play store, I rewrote most of the engine and added Holo style status bar icons, I guess it will take a few hours to show, but would you mind checking if it still triggers your led?
Weird indeed. But then again, light flow is known to trigger some pretty unusual behavior in some phones, that's why I put the blame on that.
Anyway, I installed the new version. No more blinking led on reboot, it seems to behave exactly as it should now. Thanks!

A friend is running your same setup but with stock kernel and has no issues, but can't figure how this could be kernel related. By crash report, I mean the one you are offered to send when you get a FC, unless that's not present on touchwiz. Either that or a logcat could be helpful.

I wonder if it happens to anyone running official android...
I'll hopefully update it with a possible fix tomorrow.
Thanks for the feedback.

Update from play store has fixed the FC issue (for me). Still scroll lag though. Will try a different launcher and get back to you.

small update
v1.3
- Improved color theme diversity
- Added the option to turn off transparency
v1.4
- Added the option to turn off scrolling
- Improved performance slightly
Not sure if the performance improvement helps lag at all for those that experience it.
I'd be very grateful if people can tell me whether it lags while scrolling, I'm trying to improve it, doesn't happen for me but I want to see how many people experience it.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Haha so annoying
Sent from my Desire S using xda app-developers app
This ROM has all the bugs andromadus has (latest build ofc lol)
I have to try it! But cannot loose all data on my phone right now...
Ok! I'll do it on my smaller sister phone!
Hmm, it's not easy to try out this rom..
- There's no google play app on the phone
- There's no filebrowser
- Developer settings are greyed out so I can't push google play app to the phone with adb.
Maybe I'm overlooking something? but I can't work with your rom in this way
Apart from these negative points, this rom is very fast and smooth. Also very much settings, OC settings, launcher settings etc. Good job!
Edit: found the switch for development settings. Pushing playstore app to device right now

Did you flash GAPPS?
Hmm I guess that should be the problem Damn i'm making this difficult for myself lol
Downloading GAPPS now
Edit: ok, android 4.1.1 now fully running on my desire S
Things I have found so far:
- Overall smoothness and performance is great! Comparable (maybe even better) to a freshly installed fallout 5.0!
- Tablet mode working!
- App resize working!
- Tablet mode: notification bar is half off the screen! Check screens below
- system settings disk space tab is force closing every time!
For the rest, it's too late too try. I'll post some screenshots here so anyone can look for himself.

The ROM is based on Andromadus (Flinny's latest 105 build) or CM10 (nk111's latest test 17 build)? I'm asking because on Andromadus there is still the "sound blackout" issue present while on CM10 it is not. Paranoid has great features, I love it (tested it before) but if I have sound issues with it, I cannot use it.

Well its on top of andromaus' sources, so i think its still equal to build 105.
Ill try the cm10 kernel later today, that one doesn't suffer from a sound blackout right?

Only for you buddy:
I would remove that screenshot app If I were you...
That contains fishy malware ( I once had it in a rom included so users found it ).
Don't know the exact name anymore but i wouldn't take the risk if I were you.
had the sound blackout after two minutes of the first boot. Restarted the phone and after 5 minutes the same thing. the rom si fast and pretty much OK, but the sound problem is a major one . thank you

Don't know if it's kernel related or not but yes on nk111's build from 17.09 (latest) the sound issue is gone (I use it as daily since then and have no problems)
Sent from nowhere over the air...
At last! I am waiting this for a long time. Thanks djpb
Does everyone that flashed this rom have the sound issue?

FOR TILAPIA aka NEXUS 7 3G
Beside my pure CM Thread i decided to provide an other custom Rom too. Why ? because i really like the stuff like hybrid engine, ribbons... and so on. Will keep my tilapia beside my new nexus 7 3G so why not. We now have a working Devcie tree for tilapia based on CM-10.2 (muhahaha) and this is what i needed to compile this fantastic rom
I will try to compile every now and then, but dont expect that Iḿ going to build daily.. I have a rusty old macbook, that is assembled out of 3 broken macbooks and now running debian and every build takes about 5 hours
Enough words... on with the important stuff

MMs.apk fixed just tested.. working good
just using this ROM for about 2 hours and I found 2 little ssues..
the first one is really strange.. it seems to appear and to go away without reason, the only way to solve it is to enable the weather into notification space..
looks like that
don't try phone mode, this is the tablet one..
the other issue isabout the Settings window.. with the new PAC style we now have two tabs, but if you use the complete tablet mode (1000 / 1000 for system and user applications from Hybrid Proprieties) the Settings app always FC! I assume that's why it doesn't have the space to show the 2 tabs..
A workaround is opening the settings from a singular power toggles with longpress and once it's open click on the Hybrid Proprieties toggle to setup the Settings layout to 620 / 700..
i´m not in team PAC, better report this to them in their bugtracker. I just sync their sources and do small modifications to it. I wont touch framework as this could intereffer with their changes.
OK but do you all have have these issues?
[ brvsn • PAC-mam 4.3 on Nxs7.3G • Tapatalk.4 ]
No one have those issues?
I asked for the Settings issue into the grouper official build thread and they said to me that PAC 4.3 don't have the 1000 layout anymore (due to the new Settings dual tab, naturally).
[ brvsn • PAC-mam 4.3 on Nxs7.3G • Tapatalk.4 ]
Which issues? I don't get it. Use it since 3 days now and had no single issue. Describe what's happening please. I don't see anything in ur pics. I can see weather or didable it and then it's completely gone. If I want it back it's there again. On m7 and tilapia

I can interpret everything in those screenshots as i dont see a issue (better call it a bug..)
anyway.. i guess i know what u mean. simply... its gps that takes a while to come online... download gpstest and let it lock on to sattelites. then u will see that weather also access gps now and starts working...
proof:
as said.. i can put it wherever i like and i can disable it completley.. now tested on 3 different devices and everywhere its the same (n4, m7, tilapia) same rom as u guys have.
maybe that's my fault.. my english was no clear enough
the issue appears when the weather is NOT enabled!
as I wrote in the post, enabling the weather is the only workaround for this..
then, if you just use the 1000 layout on Hybrid Proprieties for general interface, system and user apps, the Settings window always crash except if you open it by long press a tile..
I had a discussion with the grouper maintainer and he said that from the 4.3 version PAC doesn't have the 1000 layout!, just because of the new PAC Settings style (dual tabs)..
App problem

That's a 4.3. Issue /bug. Go into titanium - preferences - change backup folder from 0/titanium to legacy/titanium and apps restore fine. About the apps u mention I have no idea. Restored 102 apps and all working fine trickster and Opera including. U have a multi dpi playstore? Maybe needed
