Hello everybody!
I've just "ported" the bootanimation from the Android Lollipop Preview from Nexus 5, I've resized every picture one by one so that they match the screen resolution of our smartphone
Also, I've created a new bootsound, that combines the old Xperia Bootanimation and the song that Google used in the intro of the I/O Keynote of this year

Sorry, I think that's not possible, check that some people, like JanM RS and Ben Ling, have already tried with Sony's SDKs to make a theme for Xperia Themes, but it didn't work because it needs the SuperUser Mod, so let's see if it's still necesary to root the device when KK arrives, or if we are able to use it at 100%..
BTW, check this post, it's a request for CyanogenMod to bring official support for our device, you might be interested, maybe, if they bring us support, we might have Android L rom's in the future :fingers-crossed:
Thanks man!
Thats look nice i guess,, so i'll try to port to mine..thank u..

Yes. U need a rooted device for sure.
Upppppp (so that new ones can check this amazing bootanimation )
Cool bro! Keep it up
Works great on my Xperia M2 Dual:good:
works fine on D2305, it's a bit blurry at the edges but the resizing must have messed it up
one kool tip for people who are paranoid about changing the boot animation and bricking their device is to:
1)be rooted ofc
2)IMPORTANT!!!: RENAME NOT REPLACE
3)now you can move the "new" boot animation to /system/media
4)now navigate to /system/bin
5)find the script "bootanimation" it shouldn't be "bootanimation.sh" or anything else just "bootanimation", may be diffrent for other devices but it should be consistance across all android devices
6)if it shows the new animation then done! :victory::victory::victory:
7)else, go back, delete the "new" one and rename the old boot animation to it original name "bootanimation.zip"
8)check all the contents of the "new" one and perform a MD5/hash checksum on it, then take it from step 2 again
i'll personally keep another copy of the boot animation on my PC so i can adb push it if all fails

I've been theming my Xperia Play a bit lately. I was using the Xperia S theme (which I got from jjkkyu), but I noticed that, although I dislike ICS's abstract theme, some of it (the not so abstract bits) look better than Xperia S's theme. Namely the context menus/popups and the toast. So I began incorporating that into the theme. I've also made the folders of Xperia Home and the the menus (those that pop up upon pressing the menu key) look like that.
I never liked how Xperia S's dock looked, so I made a simpler (and IMO better) looking one myself. The launcher is also modified to not display theme choosing options, because Sony themes are pretty useless, especially on a not-Xperia-S phone, because they only seem to change the background. And it only has 3 screens/panes/whatevers. That's easy to change, though.
The menu icons of some Xperia S apps were designed for a white background, but I prefer a black background, so I fixed that everywhere I could notice it.
I've also made the battery icon display the battery percentage inside of it. The clockopia font is surprisingly easy to read, even in very low resolution.
I was also dissatisfied with the spinner, so I made another one and I think it's marvelous, even if I say so myself. It's two spinning gears for the big spinners and one gear for the little ones.
In case any of you are still using Gingerbread, I present to you Gingerbread Theme Based on Xperia S and ICS (it's a working title).
You don't actually have to read any of the above, it doesn't list all of the changes, anyway. It's just that the original post of some work would look very weird if it didn't say anything. I suggest you just look at the screenshots, which can be found in their entirety in a zip attachment.
Installation:
0. Before you do step 1, it would be wise to make sure a file manager is in your recently run apps
1. Uninstall Home.apk (sometimes this needs to be done, sometimes not)
2. Put the contents of framework.zip into /system
3. Set the permission of all the apks to 644 (rw-r--r--)
4. Move them into /system/framework
5. Put the contents of app.zip into /system
6. Set the permission of all the apks to 644 (rw-r--r--)
7. Move them into /system/app (move SystemUI.apk last)
8. Reboot
Note: The zips aren't flashable. They're just zips.
UPDATE: A flashable zip is now available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ns4ka5244xb4bfo
Made by xda-developers user techdevilisnowmonster.
This theme is mostly just a modified Xperia S theme, so to get a full Xperia S theme, you should install jjkkyu's theme before installing this.
Do you have any idea if this will work with CDMA devices?

Frankly, I don't know. It's not very dangerous to try, though. The worst that can happen is probably a boot loop, which can be easily fixed by using flashtool, if you've got a locked bootloader. You only need to flash loader and system and you don't even lose any configuration, all that will be different is that the system apps will be restored.
I suggest you find out what people say for other mods where you have to replace framework-res.apk (if anything should cause trouble, it would probably be this file).
It looks pretty nice. Good work!
What I usually do to restore if anything goes bad is open the zip and replace apks inside with my current apks and rename it restore!

Probably not, as if it changes the framework it will most likely bootloop. You've probably tried it by now and already may have found that out though.

Hi all
this is my first creation... i changed the stock themed smileys with the Sony Xperia ones.. as i think they look better.
These smileys fit the Xperia Keyboard... there are some missing (i only changed what was there, not adding anything new)
as you can see on the picture... i will try and add the rest in the future... but want to know if anybody wants it and that it is worth using the time on it
i use this with the keyboard from this thread (version 2.) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104376
v.1 changelog:
Sony smileys added.
v.2 changelog (future release)
insert rest of the smileys to make a perfect fit for the xperia keyboard.
this is tested and working on my ME2 deodexed rom, for my I9505.
installation instructions:
use a file explorer and mount system as writeable.
go to system/app/ (there you will find secmms.apk (make a backup)
copy my file in to that folder.. and reboot.
if there are any issues please let me know and i will look at it
if you like this.. then please thank me
If someone tries it.. Then please let me know if it works on your phone.. I want to make sure I have done an okay job

Thx for the nice smileys.
They are looking far better than the boring stocks.
I'd like some more. Installing on my S4 and my wife's S4 was a piece of cake.
They'll being displayed only in this way, if both phones have got the same SecMMs from you.
It's Ok for us - :highfive:

Thanks for the feedback... The reason to why they are only displayed between you two must be that you also use Xperia keyboard?
My wife has a Sony phone and it works perfectly from her phone
If people use other keyboards for smileys then we have the problem as they do not write the smileyes alike.
are somewhat universal I think... And I will see if I can get the time to add the rest of the smileys as well
Many thanks for your feedback... And I guess if people write smileys like above then it should show..I have no problems

It's very simple to create Bootanimation...
You have simple txt file desc.txt in which you can set resolution, loop animation and first animation.
You have great tools for creating animations...

Those bootanimations don't really read the specs for the phone, they are made up of images just like all bootanimations. You could just take the ones already in existence and resize the images in the .zip, change the wording on the images and then put it on your Z1

Why would I want a bios bootani for Nexus on my Z1 ?
I've googled and there are lots of bios bootani but how does that help me. You can't just edit the text from the png like that so it's pretty useless.
I could wipe the current text and redo all 100+ pictures but thats lots of work, hence why I asked here first.

If you want to built your own Bootanimation, use that pngs and and programs for PC - it's damm easy.
If I or someone else have animation we would post it but we don't have so - try to find it.
You have Google and search like we all do.
On that first link you have animation for 10-15 devices - maybe there's one for your resolution - don't search for your phone, search for your resolution.
And there's animations for many phones, not only Nexus.
Bootanimation is bootanimation - diference is only on resolution. - I thought you know that.
Download for other phone, edit pngs and build bootanimation if you don't like text on it.
You have tutorials on YouTube - and it's very easy to do that.

I asked if anyone knew if there was a BIOS bootani tailored for Z1 , not some random bootanimation.
It's time consuming which is why I asked first instead of redoing one.
So all in all, I don't want a bios bootani for another phone on my Z1, because that would defeat the purpose.
I've googled and I guess the only solution is to edit one . Sorry for being so confusing at the beginning.

I have the LG G Pro, too and I've found it's Lockscreen app on Play Store.. It has some really cool unlock animations (which I think are better than the G3) .. Here go
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lockscreen.optimus&hl=en_GB
Description
LG Optimus Lockscreen is a lock screen application which makes your phone looks exactly like LG optimus G, including Particle, Crystal, DewDrop, Ripple and WhiteHole effect, the effect is very gorgeous and smooth, simple and practical!
Application features:
1 Particle effect;
2 Crystal effect;
3 Dewdrop effect;
4 Ripple effect;
5 WhiteHole effect;
3D DewDrop effect requires root support, if your device is not rooted, dew drop will be not perfect.
Crystal projection effect requires root, if not rooted, crystal only shows wallpaper.
Note: To prevent double lock screen, enable LG Optimus Lockscreen, and choose the system lock screen as "None."
