Hi, I install this ROM [ROM][STABLE][Android 4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11 with 3.0.16 kernel [July 1, 2014], and still i have in info KERNEL 1.5.3, i try install manual new kernel 1.7.0 and still is in info 1.5.3 version, why ?

i can see in settings-->about the the kernel is in the correct version but it adds dirty at the end, what does it mean ?
From what I understand, it means there are some modifications that are still not committed into the branch when you build the kernel.

I have P500 with CM 7.2 and I want flash this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587209. What is difference between v2.5.6-ta-vsyncOff-xz-20120830-signed.zip and v2.5.6-ta-vsyncOff-20120829-signed.zip? XZ is probably compressed (?), but still I don't know which I can flash.
And my second question
Can I flash this kernel if I have flashed CM 7.2 from 9 september (cm-7-20120909-NIGHTLY) but kernel is from 29 august? Will there be any problems?

Now, I see a new Update Release 4.
My question: How can I update Release 3 to Release 4. Can I or have I use TWRP? What happen with my settings. There overwritten?

I have installed on my samsung galaxy s plus(i9001) this custom rom:
[ROM][JB][JZO54K] CyanogenMod 10 by ivendor - Release 2.5 - Kernel 3.0.x
and CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26
Now i want to update to this custom:
[ROM][PMEM][JB][4.2.2][JDQ39E] CyanogenMod 10.1 by ADC-Team -Release 6- Kernel 3.4.X
Is it enough by only flashing this rom or do i have to wipe dalvik,data and cache and the other steps??
