Hello,
*
I ask you to help with my nexus 5 and the recovery stock ...
So, I had TRWP when i tried to flash with flashify the stock recovery to install 4.4.2 android update.
But i have a problem when my nexus start : I had a android error, I was forced to put everything back to stock, and swipe my data...
*
Now with Nexus Root Tollkit I re routed my Nexus, but when it trying to put the stock recovery, the toolkit tell me that everything went well.
BUT ! because there is always a but! When I boot to the recovery mode (stock supposed to be), I am entitled to a mistake ... The most bizarre is that I can still access Android, or install a custom recovery, but impossible to access to the stock recovery..
Ideas to solve my problem? :-/
*
Thank you!
p.s : Excuse me for my bad english, i'm french
(But i try to speak better and better ^^' )
Stop using toolkits and learn Fastboot. It's really quite simple. You don't need stock recovery, leave it on TWRP to flash yesterday's update

When you flashing the recovery through fastboot its shows any warning message?
When flashing is done just make sure your recovery is working, by entering into the recovery...

I recently acquired a moto g here in india via flipkart that came preinstalled with android 4.4.4 and yes i have the same problem of not getting any recovery to work since all of them boot to a weird black screen with random white lines appearing haphazardly. In fact the closest i have come to getting a proper recovery is when i installed the twrp 2.7.1.1 although it too off started of as black screen with weird lines i left it that way till the screen turned off and once it did, i pressed the power button and voila the recovery had successfully loaded.
However touch and HW buttons weren't working but i definitely reached the padlocked screen of twrp. So i tried another thing i had read on the forums here @ xda that sometimes letting the screen go off in recovery once makes it work but even that didnt work. Now the thing is does the recovery work ? that is in its most essential function taking backups and installing zips yes it does so. But since both the above functions require the actual use of recovery itself which isnt possible so i used twrp app for android and installed it and used that to make backups and install zips; both of which worked. Now it goes without saying root access is must for using of this app and i got rooted using the modaco/paul o'brian superboot method and hence was able to use twrp app. Hope this provides everybody a better clarity on our situation and make the devs for recovery solve our problem. Good Luck.
P.S Downgrading to 4.4.2 wont help as it will give the black screen witnessed on trying to boot into recovery(I already tried that)

So. It must becoz of the incompatibility of the recoveries with the new boot loader/firmware or what ever ?
The bootloader version of all those with 4.4.4 is 41.13. So it must be the issue with recovery.
The root can also be acquired by flashing cwm recovery and installing supersu from playstore.

TWRP on the GT-S7275R?
Hey i found this guide for installing CWR on the GT-S7275 and thought it should be the same to install TWRP. Is this the Problem or that i have the GT-S7275R with the "R" ?
Is there a way to install TWRP on it to flash your CM12 ROM?

So i should try the cwm? Some other guys had similar problems: After step 10 i wanted to boot to recovery but after a few seconds of the recovery loading screen (blue text) it booted to normal android.
Uninstalling CWM, getting this version of TWRP
I'm trying to get CM 12 on a friends phone but I can't get the recovery to work,
This is what I did:
1. Installed CWM through ODIN v3.07 (going into download mode and stuff)
2. It worked! I went into recovery mode and started wiping everything, but I got an error when wiping the cache partition
3. The phone rebooted.
3. Went to ODIN again, downloaded TWRP but after installing it (which I did correctly according to ODIN v3.07) the recovery didn't change and it's still that buggy build of CWM that won't let me install CM 12 on the device.
4. I though I could force install the recovery using a .img I found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/ace-...3-lte-t2989278 but I really don't know how, any thoughts?
This is the buggy CWM copy I used and I want to remove: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2548856
Thanks!
hi there - i've tried both CWM (recovery-6.0.5.1.tar.md5) and twrp-2.8.7.0.tar.md5 but is still unable to install the cm-12.1-20150821-UNOFFICIAL-loganreltexx.zip.
I've downloaded the cm files a few times and have even formatted the sdcard yet receive this error message:
E:Cant open /storage/sdcard1/cm-12.1-20150821-UNOFFICIAL-loganreltexx.zip (Bad)
Installation aborted.
Appreciate advice on what I have done wrong or not done? Tks!

Hello Kotzir,
First of all, thank you for your great job !
Install via ODIN, already known method, like CWM
On this thread, it would be helpful to add a link to the latest version of Odin, or otherwise a link to this page :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548856
And to precise how to enter the download mode :
1. Go to download mode on the device : when the phone is off, press "Home+ Volume DOWN + Power"
And, to be complete :
6. And when the phone is automatically rebooting, press "Home+ Volume UP + Power" to enter in the recovery mode.
Elsewhere the TWRP recovery will be erased by the stock ROM, and it would be to be redone...
Thanks !
Hi all,
Question: I have a custom recovery right now and i would like to go back to unroot and factory settings, but for some reason it will not work.
I tried:
> Unroot/Uninstall SuperSU (option in SuperSU app), after waiting for 15 minutes, i got tired. Is it stuck?
> Fastboot and install original recovery. When i do this nothing happens when pressing VOL + POWER. There is no factory recovery, the phone just keeps rebooting.
> Factory reset. all data is lost, but EMUI is not the same as when i bought it (golden Mate 7 theme), but it looks more like Gingerbread stock Android.
Could someone help me to go back all the way to stock - like new? Many thanks in advance!
You download the original rom from huawei website for your version. Put the dload folder in the root of your sd card and then click on updater and then manual. It will see the folder and will start flashing.

@ mirchichamu: Thanks for the reply and good advice. This afternoon I already tried to flash the B127 update in the hope to go back to stock, but that did also not work with Custom Recovery (VOL+ and POWER) as I got an error.
Later I found out that the .img for the original recovery probably was not suitable for my Mate 7. I tried another stock recovery that i found online and that did the trick and I could factory reset in a normal way.

first thing is to have THE RIGHT stock recovery version..
u cannot use custom recovery to have phone officially back as b4 or flash off. rom
It works always in sequence ...
If u want to flash new rom u need earlier recovery ..
if u want to re-flash same rom u use same recovery ..

Hello,
I have Samsung Duos 2 two years ago, and rooted it 1 year ago via Odin with a rom i dont remember the name, it was working perfectly until yesterday I was customizing it "using only OS built in settings, no 3rd party apps" Suddenly the phone turned off and restarted, then stuck at the samsung logo. I think it went a soft brick!
I tried wiping cash but it give an error. I don't care for the phone, I i have photos "very important" and whatsapp/SMS messages "less important" that I want to recover them.
question1: if I re-rom it via Odin, will this wipe my data [photos/messages]?
question2: I read a post that factory reset only wipe apps and app data but no personal data, I want a confirm.
thanx in advance

No re-rom wont wipe the data and will most probably fix the bootloop if it does not then you will have to flash the stock firmware via odin.
And you read wrong i guess it wipes almost everything and mostly factory reseting wont fix bootloop. Btw i recommend waiting atleast 5 mins for the phone to boot to conform whether its bootlooped or not (my personal experience of thinking i got a bootloop after flashing somethin but the next time i did it i waited and there was no bootloop). One last thing was the Rom like stock ? If yes then its a prerooted firmware i guess.
btw do you have twrp? Its not necessary but if u have twrp tell me.

Hey
I can help you with the recovery things stored in internal storage:
download TWRP, flash it via odin: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369360126141
now go to recovery mode, plug it to your computer, you will found the device as MTP and have internal storage exposed, you can grab files from there

when you writing firmware/recovery to your phone, it's called flashing, by flashing stock rom you will not losing data unless you do a factory reset in recovery

Download stock firmware on: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=Gt-s7582
And flash it in Odin like you've flash the TWRP
After flash finished, go to stock recovery and factory reset

@aquabigo did you do factory reset through twrp? If not. Btw after the stock firmware you will have to install twrp again and if you want root you can use kingroot or kingo root app

anyway, the backup would not save me if I did one, the OS was already down. the only thing I was caring for was the data. now I will try saving the phone for the next 2 days -thanks to your help- and if I fail, I state its death! :crying:

Using the stock firmware or the Rom you ussd before is the solution dont use any other rom and if flashing the firmware didnt fix you should try wiping system using twrp and then flash the stock firmware again

you should have download mode even have TWRP flashed
remove battery, put battery in, hold HOME + volume down + power button, after phone boot up then it will show warning message, press volume up to enter download mode then you can flash stock rom using odin
