Wanted to know if anyone knows if it's possible to install the new Android L Preview Keyboard on the Note Pro?
I am rooted and found a toturial to install it on "any android" device but still affraid to do that.
The SGNP keyboard has many keys like the Arrows keys and the Tab key and the Ctrl key that I believe won't be found in other keyboards, is that right? What do you think about that keyboard? Do you recommend installing it?
I know there is a an app on the Store but is it safer to install the Zip file for the rooted devices? what's the diffrence?

I installed a custom rom which i love! But the keymapping of hardware keyboard is all ****ed up! I tried downloading that norkeyboard dot zip and use xrecovery but didnt work. Anyone willing to. Assist me abit?

I have Xperia x10 mini pro Firmware ver 2.1.
I've upadte the Build number to 2.1.1.A.0.6 today (after a factory reset) and when Im trying to install the any soft keyboard I can't lunch it.
The phone install the apk but I can't find it in my app or in the Language & Keyboard (under settings).
I've rooted the phone using super one click and try to install the app again but I still can't find it anywere....
Any help will be greatlly appreciate.

I recently upgraded my Samsung galaxy y firmware to DDLA1 but it's Samsung 4*3 keyboard is not working. Can someone give me their keyboard file so I could replace it and use it. I like Samsung Keyboard it's fast and easy. THANKS IN ADVANCE
Download go keyboard, really nice and 2.8inch friendly.
You can extract it from a previous rom. it is just a zip file after all.
If you want to try out a non-stock keyboard, I would recommend Swiftkey 3...Hands down it's the best keyboard out there.
Thanks guys for your help I finally found the Samsung keypad for galaxy y but it's not installing nor it is working after placing other files in their place as said on the site where I downloaded it. I am currently using Touchpad and I think I had to stick to it for now or else I had to flash a stock rom. Can anyone give me the link to Samsung Galaxy Y DDLA1 or latest firmware which is flashable in recovery mode or in CWM I don't like to flash with Odin also try to give me a Deodexed firmware. Thanks again for your help guys

at certain times my galaxy y keyboard does not work...
and it will work only when the phone is restarted....
In some urgent situation i cant even able to type the name of any contact ....
all the other functions are working bt the keyboard makes my things stupid...
i have noticed that when the keyboard is working proprly and if i lock my phone and when i unlock it the keyboard wont works bt
somtimes it works.....
plz cn u help...
n suggest me some ways to solve this irritating error....
Guys, I need a little help with this. I deleted the stock keyboard accidentally from the system/app folder and I don't have any backup. I'm using Alcatel OT 6030X witha different keyboard, stock keyboard of another android device, updated with Play . I would like to use the original one of this android version.
Can some1 give me the backup of the original one?

how to install com.sonyericsson.textinput.uxp-2 in samsung note 2,
i was using sony xperia phone, but now my boss given new samsung note 2, in that keyboard dictionary is not as in sony,
sony have more suggestion words and easy to use (in 3x4 keypad) ,
so i downloaded com.sonyericsson.textinput.uxp-2 and try to installl,
but not successful, anyone can kindly help me, without rooting
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You could try using 3rd party keyboards such as swiftkey or Swype. The Sony file you are trying to use won't work on your device.
