[Completed] Ipro I9350 (q10) - problems with WCDMA - XDA Assist

Greetings, my Iproi9350 marked q10 refuses to register with UMTS in Europe (EDGE works all right). i rooted the piece, and I accessed test mode through *#*#4636#*#* The test menu provides plenty of options on how to access the network. but the band selection is limited to: auto | USA | AUS2. The telephone is advertised to have the 2100 WCDMA band. I enquired the manufacturer and the seller. The seller answered they would contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer has never answered my enquiry and I suppose the seller has received none either. Any tricks or hints? I have Parkinson disease and I am unable to use a smartphone without a keyboard. I also need a dual sim one, and this handset is the best compromise I found so far.
Many thanks in advance

It seems like the phone has been locked to specific networks you have listed. You may wish to contact the seller to see how it can be unlocked.

Access Telstra Next G Network

Hi,
I am fairly new to this site and i am not sure whether it has been asked already, but i was wondering if it is possible to flash a ROM that would grant access to Telstra's Next G Network.
I live in Australia and have a HTC Touch Pro and my carrier is Telstra. It is a GSM touch pro. In the 'network' and 'bands' tabs of my phone settings, i can only choose gsm on 900/1800/2100. Telstra's Next G network runs on 850.
Is there any way i can mod the phone to make use of the Next G network?
Any help appreciated
Thx!
What flavor is your phone (US or EU)? If I'm not mistaken US (AT&T) phones can use the 850 mhz band while European phones cannot. This is a hardware restriction and no ROM will be able to change that.
Hey thx for the reply!
I wasn't sure what flavour it is, so i went into the phone settings and went to the "About" section and it says something about the copyright being under U.S. copyright laws. So i can only assume it would be US. is there another way to tell?
Where did you buy it from?
I bought it through a Harvey Norman store in NSW. They had a telstra shop section there.
Not to worry!
i just found all my answers here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420865&page=39
thanks for your help.

[Completed] [Q] HUAWEI Honor 4X SIM unlock for SIM1

Hi, just received my Honor 4X in China. It's a nice phone with incredible features for a low price. As I travel a lot between China and Germany I bought the FDD version.
What I did not realize (Chinese description) was the fact that SIM1 is locked for China Telecom. SIM2 accepts my German SIM but only with 2G.
Any Idea how to unlock SIM1 so that I can use LTE with my German SIM card?
Thanks for your input

[Q] China Phones that work on AWS Network

Hey, this is my first post. Not a lot of discussion on the forums about this topic. I'm sure it won only help me but countless people too
I currently live in Canada and I'm with a service provider called Wind Mobile. It runs on a AWS network (Same Frequency of T-mobile for Americans) , with bands 1700/2100 MHz. I have looked every where for a China phone that is not only good but that is compatible with my network. So far i have found none . If any one has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
What specs I'm looking for is:
IPS display
At least 1GB of RAM
8-16GB of internal Storage
4.4 Kitkat
Any screen size.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, NO FAKE SPECS (as China is notoriously know for doing this)
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy (SCH-I545)

SAMSUNG S4 VERIZON
MODEL NUMBER: SCH-I545
BUILD NUMBER: LRX22C.I545VRUGOC1
ANDROID VERSION: 5.0.1
I recently moved to Nicaragua, Central America, and I am trying to use a local GSM carrier (Frequency at 850 - 1900 Mhz). After inserting the SIM card, the phone does not recognize the carrier (FYI, carriers name is MOVISTAR). Phone specifications are mentions above.
The phone screen brings up a message "SIM CARD IS NOT VERIZON". The only time that the phone is able to recognize the carrier and get some signal, is when it boots up. Afterwards, it just closes out with no signal bars and the message pops out on the screen.
Could you please help?

[Completed] Problem with lte on my xperia x

Hello,
I'm actually from Germany, but i find this forum very useful..thats why i hope, you can help me with my problem.
I purchased a Sony xperia x online. Everything works fine except the LTE. It's very bad and unstable. I used an iPhone 6 plus before and there was no problem with lte.
I checked every setting, but everything seems fine.
I checked with the app Lte Discovery which lte band the device uses for lte connection and it said band 20. So i can be sure it has the Lte band 20, can't I?
I also found out on xpericheck that the installed firmware is for devices from switzerland.
So I want to ask you, if it's possible that the device doesn't really support band 20 because it's from another country? I haven't found any model of the xperia x online, which doesn't support lte band 20.
I would give you some screenshot but the forum doesn't allow me to do this.
Thank you in advance
