HTC has louder sound and better on speakers.
HTC is full of metal vs Samsung plastic - so better build quality.
HTC has better AnTuTu scores and higher clock. (GSIV has 1.6Ghz - says gsmarena.com).
HTC has famous "Sense" which is way better than Touchwiz in my opinion.
HTC's camera is better on dark places.
HTC is more compact.
HTC has better xda development. (Exynos is bad documentated and HTC already has great devs workin' on it - and yeah team Venom).

Not sure about GPU, I'd say Samsung is better.

Floating touch (I would turn it off but I would say floating touch games maybe - that would be interesting).
Samsung will update its device way more than HTC to newer android versions.
Samsung has external SD up to 64GB. So you could have impressing 126GB of memory for your files!

No.lol.. the gpu in internationao s4 is powervr.. the one iphones and ipads use

I'll break this down to two simple facts.
1. Expandable storage is a deal breaker for me. The One has no expandable storage, so when you run out of space, you're done - time to start eating up your mobile data plan for cloud services. Deal breaker.
2. S-Off is terrible. Something tells me one reason HTC stopped providing expandable storage slots in their phones is due to the way the Vivid had to be S-Off'ed. You have to short out a contact point on the phone's main board with the ground on the SD slot to hack the damn S-Off. Maybe this was a major flaw and combined with other reasons, they just decided they would scrap the storage slot altogether. Without S-Off, the whole process of flashing new ROMs becomes more tedious and annoying. And let's not forget that you can scrap the idea of flashing new radios to your device if you can't S-Off an HTC phone. HTC is not too developer-friendly lately...
Is it even possible to S-Off the One X or X+? I haven't looked at those boards in detail in quite a while.

-Premium build, subjectively better design
-Camera optimized for low-light environments
-Screen is objectively better at accurate color reproduction
-Stereo speakers

Is that what customers want? Some, sure. But it seems like HTC is playing Apple's form > function game. And they won't win, because their software, battery life and camera are not up to par.
What does the S4 have?
-Packs a larger display into a body that is smaller, slimmer and lighter than the S3 (yet people will still go around complaining that 5" is 'just too big'), more ergonomic than the hard edges of the One's design
-Display benefits from power savings of PenTile matrix while the resolution nullifies any complaints about its perceived sharpness; EDIT: actually, the display utilizes a new, brighter PHOLED technology and a completely different PenTile 'diamond' matrix that seems to address most complaints about the S3's display on their own
-Display is subjectively better then the One's for some—AND has built-in screen tuning options for those that want accurate, natural colors (Movie/Cinema mode on the S3/Note 2 is comparable to sRGB emulation mode on a wide gamut monitor in my own side-by-side comparisons)
-Display's infinite contrast is objectively better, and the lower reflectivity and sunlight legibility is something other manufacturers have fallen behind with their 1080p displays
-Superior homegrown SoC (although I have no idea why the U.S. is stuck with Qualcomm again with all the new LTE tech the Exynos chipset has); people knocking the big.LITTLE architecture seem to be ignoring the purpose of it (it's not just 'twice as many cores' or 'not-really-eight-cores')
-1.7mm thinner than the One, yet it packs a larger, removable battery and microSD slot (deja vu)
-USB 3.0 on the Exynos
-TouchWiz is better than Sense, despite subjectivity over appearance: lighter, smoother, less buggy, closer to vanilla Android in functionality and packed with extra features (many which are actually useful) that can be easily turned off—vs. a bloated interface that tries to undermine the Android interface and sticks you with homescreen limitations like a Flipboard knock-off that can't be fully disabled; I personally find Sense even uglier than TouchWiz with its mix of colorful icons and flat black theming
-A camera that, for another generation in a row, doesn't ruin its image quality with overaggressive noise reduction and processing like HTC's offerings, while packing as many features as one would want into the camera app (like the ability to make animated GIF's with static backgrounds easily)
-Battery life that is sure to surpass its predecessor, unlike the lackluster battery performance seen in the One/Butterfly/DNA
-Gorilla Glass 3 over the One's Gorilla Glass 2
-Unified delivery to all carriers, while the One's future on a major carrier like Verizon is still just rumors
-Latest JellyBean 4.2.2 vs. One's JellyBean 4.1, and not only a much better commitment to and delivery of updates than HTC, but a commitment to and delivery of bringing new software features to older flagship devices when they don't depend on new hardware
-The ability to run ANY two apps side-by-side on the screen at the same time for multitasking—and the ability to run pop-up apps like the browser, video player, calculator, etc. on top of that
-Not only are features like the delivered Air Gestures and Eye Scroll useful and polished (maybe not so much with Eye Scroll's polish), but Floating Touch is major: completely new and unique screen tech that essentially gives you a mouse cursor for hovering, which is a boon for web browsing and Adobe Flash
-Unlocked bootloader vs. the One's locked bootloader (despite all the negative feedback HTC received previously)
While the S4 might not blow anyone away at first glance, it's clear that Samsung pays attention to things that matter when it comes to using your device, down to the details that everyone else seems to overlook. The One is a beautiful phone to look at and hold, but beyond that it holds the same disappointments that held HTC back the last time around.

I hope you're joking.
I know many people are not fans of the home button, but I use the hell out of it my S3 and I prefer to use it when activating the display from sleep mode. Many times when my phone is just laying on the table, I can just hit the home button and swipe down for messages or to change songs etc. I just find it much more easy to access than the power button. I do prefer the look of the HTC over the S4.

Stereo speakers on a device that small, the HTC One, is pointless anyway. The whole point of stereo is so you can differentiate the sounds in each ear, thereby creating the stereo effect. With two speakers so close together, the sounds will mesh together by the time they hit your ears anyway, making a more monaural sound.
I think the only real advantage HTC has is the build quality of the phone. But that advantage is moot to me because I always put a nice case on whatever phone I buy.

Please point out any errors in my reasoning. I think I made a decent case, care to actually make one yourself?
When you compare the two there's not a lot that's unique going for the One except for it's beautiful all-aluminum design and dual speakers. The fact that it's the same physical size (while being thicker and heavier) as the SGS4 with last year's 4.7" display size isn't going to help it. Here's a quick run down comparing the two. It was the answer to "why would anyone buy the SGS4 over the One" from thier forum.
Larger 5" SAMOLED display with vibrant colors
Thinner and lighter with other dimensions being near equal
13MP camera (more detail)
Better battery life, bigger and removable battery
Replaceable back cover if its damaged
Expandable storage
Gorilla Glass 3 (versus 2)
Android 4.2.2 (vs. 4.1.2, at least for now)
Dual Camera (insert yourself in to photos you take)
Drama Shot (a simpler Zoe)
Sound and Shot to record voice comments on still photos
Story Album to create and send printed photo albums
Share Music to turn multiple SGS4's in to surround sound
Group Play to share content across multiple devices without the need for a Wi-FI connection
S-Translator integrated in to multiple apps like e-mail and the stock browser
Smart Pause/Smart Scroll to use your eyes to control the device
All the existing motion and voice controls Samsung provides in TW

I'll take a stab at the One's advantages over the SGS4. For the sake of discussion assume the SGS4 being compared against is an LTE version running S-600 too. Things like LCD vs. AMOLED and Sense vs. TW are obviously based on personal preference.

Other than Zoe and BlinkFeed Sense 5 is carry over from earlier versions. Even LG's doing a lot more with s/w than HTC. The lack of s/w features, whether they are real or gimmicks, is going to hurt the One with the masses who like "more" rather than less; especially at the same price.
LG already offers several special apps on its Android smartphones, like QSlide for viewing two apps at once on a device's display and QRemote for controlling home entertainment gear. Today LG expanded is software offerings with another new feature dubbed "Smart Video." According to LG, Smart Video takes advantage of eye recognition technology to track a user's eye movements while he or she is watching a video and, when it detects that user isn't looking at the device's display, it will pause the clip automatically. Playback will resume when the device detects that the user is once again looking at the screen. LG says that Smart Video will be rolled out soon as part of a Value Pack update. In addition to Smart Video, the Value Pack will include a Dual Camera feature that will take photos using the front and back cameras simultaneously, Magic Remote Keypad and Text Keypad additions to the QRemote app, Video Pause/Resume that will allow users to stop and start while capturing a video to create one continuous clip, and a set of color emoticons. The Smart LED Lighting surrounding the LG Optimus G Pro's physical home button will also be updated to allow users to assign colors to specific contacts.

I don't understand this storage business if the minimum available storage option for a phone is 32GB?
How many things do most people put on their phones? All the people I know who own a GS3 have a 16GB model with no micro SD card and they continuously make the lack of expandable storage on recent phones a big deal.
At the moment I have no idea which one I want more, I will likely get the GS4 because HTC One has a good chance at not showing up on Verizon. (entirely Verizon's fault though, looks like Verizon has been screwing over HTC for quite awhile recently, the lack of expandable storage was due to Verizon not HTC on the DNA; and the One's availability looks like to be another Verizon issue; I also am pretty positive for it developement being slightly better than the DNA since it is multicarrier)
I do really like the GS4 though, it's design was something I did not like on the GS3 either though.

This is one of the least trolly forums. Go hang on youtube for a while, the bottom of the internet comments there..
First I will explain my story: I went from owning the SGS 1, then SGS 2 and then I bought a Droid DNA for something different, but someone stole it. Luckily a friend sold me an SGS 3 for very cheap. By the time I played around with the SGS 3, I realised why I was getting bored of Samsung to begin with. It's because of the screen. Yes it looks sharp and clear but the amoled screen was so fake and forced with saturation which my Droid DNA wasn't suffering from. Not to mention the SGS 3 seemed exactly the same as my SGS 2 only a different shape and size. It was quite frankly boring!
After my insurance company replaced my Droid DNA I could no longer use the SGS 3 because of these facts. I continued to use the Droid DNA for the following months and I can not fault it besides the screen being too small for me now, I have simply outgrown it. I have since sold all of my phones including the DNA to purchase a new phone. I automatically wanted the Note 3 because of the size and hardware and well known projected development but my main questions are:
Is the screen on the Galaxy Note 3 improved with life like colours in comparison to the SGS 3?
Is the camera going to be good enough without OIS?
If you want to know my other choices and reasons why I am considering them please look below. (Was going to include Sony Xperia Z Ultra but the camera has no flash and is only 8mp and the size form factor is too much for me)

My fourth choice (most disappointing because screen is probably not going to be big enough!! but I love all of the other features. If this phone was 5.5" I would be getting it over anything else! I am so annoyed it has on screen keys and a smaller screen! - It's why I sold my Nexus 4 so quickly)

Pros:
Screen appeals to me more as it is not amoled like the Note 3
Large battery for a small phone (not as good as the note 3 but the life should be close to the same as it has a smaller screen to power)
The phone is cheaper to buy outright by $200 dollars in my country in comparison to the note 3
Camera is outstanding - 4K record might be possible with firmware update - f/2.4 aperture and OIS has proven to take better images and video with the right settings in comparison to my other phone choices
Internals are the same as Note 3
Cons:
Screen is only a little step up in quality and size from my Droid DNA (especially if I choose to keep on screen keys active)
LG usually have little development support compared to Samsung
The button placement at the back makes the phone look weird and maybe awkward. I thought it was a camera lens cover when I first saw it
At the end of the day if the Note 3 didn't have an amoled screen and did have OIS I wouldn't be looking at other phones at all. Even if it just had a different screen it would probably lock me in to buying it. That goes the same for the LG G2 if it had a larger screen! To make a definitive decision, I need to use all of these phones in person but because I live in Australia, most of these phones aren't available to me. Makes it very hard to make a decision! I need to look at the Galaxy Note 3 screen and see if I can deal with the amoled, if I can I will buy it. It is released in Australia in 3 days for me to check out.
If I don't like the Note 3 screen, I will need to handle the Oppo, Acer and HTC One Max to see if I am comfortable with the size of them. If I am then I will buy whichever one I like better, the problem is these phone will probably not come to Australia anytime soon, if at all for me to test them so I can only go by user opinion!
If I am not completely happy with the Acer/HTC/Oppo size I will end up buying the LG Optimus G Pro for so much cheaper than the others and I will then look to replace it when I am happy with another phone even if the phone is lower spec, it has decent development and an upgraded screen size and quality over my DNA.
I also need to see the LG G2 in person to judge the screen size for myself, again the phone is not available in my country until November! and I will want to make a decision by then

My fourth choice (most disappointing because screen is probably not going to be big enough!! but I love all of the other features. If this phone was 5.5" I would be getting it over anything else! I am so annoyed it has on screen keys and a smaller screen! - It's why I sold my Nexus 4 so quickly)

Pros:
Screen appeals to me more as it is not amoled like the Note 3
Large battery for a small phone (not as good as the note 3 but the life should be close to the same as it has a smaller screen to power)
The phone is cheaper to buy outright by $200 dollars in my country in comparison to the note 3
Camera is outstanding - 4K record might be possible with firmware update - f/2.4 aperture and OIS has proven to take better images and video with the right settings in comparison to my other phone choices
Internals are the same as Note 3
Cons:
Screen is only a little step up in quality and size from my Droid DNA (especially if I choose to keep on screen keys active)
LG usually have little development support compared to Samsung
The button placement at the back makes the phone look weird and maybe awkward. I thought it was a camera lens cover when I first saw it
At the end of the day if the Note 3 didn't have an amoled screen and did have OIS I wouldn't be looking at other phones at all. Even if it just had a different screen it would probably lock me in to buying it. That goes the same for the LG G2 if it had a larger screen! To make a definitive decision, I need to use all of these phones in person but because I live in Australia, most of these phones aren't available to me. Makes it very hard to make a decision! I need to look at the Galaxy Note 3 screen and see if I can deal with the amoled, if I can I will buy it. It is released in Australia in 3 days for me to check out.
If I don't like the Note 3 screen, I will need to handle the Oppo, Acer and HTC One Max to see if I am comfortable with the size of them. If I am then I will buy whichever one I like better, the problem is these phone will probably not come to Australia anytime soon, if at all for me to test them so I can only go by user opinion!
If I am not completely happy with the Acer/HTC/Oppo size I will end up buying the LG Optimus G Pro for so much cheaper than the others and I will then look to replace it when I am happy with another phone even if the phone is lower spec, it has decent development and an upgraded screen size and quality over my DNA.
I also need to see the LG G2 in person to judge the screen size for myself, again the phone is not available in my country until November! and I will want to make a decision by then

Lol, well at least you did your research I am a former amoled hater, I returned my galaxy nexus because of the crappy colors and green tint, so I understand your concerns. In seeing friends gs3 vs gs4 the screen is much improved and I find the colors more realistic, the colors on LCD being super saturated, and the blacks are miles better. I then played with a gnote2 for a few days before deciding if I wanted the 3 and the answer was a resounding yes, the screen was fantastic
Best way is like you said, to just wait until it reaches your country and you can see it in person. Amoled displays have vibrant over saturated colors, better viewing angles, better battery efficiency than LCDs, and better blacks. LCDs have better whites, better brightness and viewing eligibility under the sun, more realistic colors. See which benefits you like the most and get the phone with the corresponding screen.

I bought the Note 3 for its unparalleled stylus integration. (and screen size/beast-mode specs) It has no competition at this point in time (Although a few competitors are in the works).
FWIW, I think the Note 3's screen is gorgeous.
When you posted it here, you should have known the answer is skewed.

Not arguing, but what restriction?
Change the screen mode in settings to Natural and if it's still not to your liking try Movie. By default it's on Standard and can even be increased with Dynamic. Changing the saturation has been present in settings since the GS2, idk how people miss that one option that could end their complains. If that doesn't do it for you then the Galaxy line might not be for you.

Doesn't anybody use the movie mode or adobe rgb mode? Looks great in either mode. The galaxy series are on dynamic mode out of the box. Similar to how TV manufacturers and resellers put display TV's in this mode to stand out.

This is all personal taste, of course, but I find LCD screens more over saturated, and the sun viewing thing is overstated, while technically true, the reflections off the glass of all these screens makes it mostly mute. I've used my iPhone, iPad, friends galaxy devices, they all ultimately stink in direct sun
Thanks for the replies guys. I posted this here because amongst bias choices, people will still give me answers I want to hear. A lot of people buy the Note series for the stylus and software features alone, where these features are simply bonuses that I might use and not even close to the reason I want a large screen device!
If it wasn't for my need of the digitizer pen for documents there are a lot of strong contenders like LG G2 (especially the price <$200), Sony Z1, etc.

This is my point exactly. People can usually see the benefit of a stylus and that might play a huge roll in choosing the device! As this is not my primary concern I would choose the Z1 if it had a larger screen or The LG G2 if it had solid AOSP support; I guess I could make do with hiding the soft keys
I think this thread is a bit premature at the moment as there's too many unknowns about some of the other devices, the Acer looks potentially interesting but whether it's going to be worth considering will depend a lot on the price and how well it works in practice.

I have yet to see a note 3 in the flesh but colour rendition in the s4 is better than in the s3 so it may be an indicator of what to expect.

If you could get Samsung to listen to you, what "hardware" features would you ask that they include on the Note 4 that is currently missing from the Note 3?

Don't make fun of someone elses wishlist. It's theirs, not yours.
My simple three wishes.
1) IR receiver so I can learn remote codes to my phone.
2) Dual MicroSD slot or single regular SD slot.
3) Onboard speaker at top & bottom of phone if it can be done without making bezel bigger. Stereo style.
Not to do the IP67 waterproofing as it's pants on the S5 (overheating, fiddly to connect stuff with the doors etc.) If you are precious about phones it will be in a ruggedised MIL spec case anyway like mine.
Go all out on the camera and nail low light as well, let's be king of low light as well.
4gb RAM for no reason other than overkill.
Go all out on processor so if we must have touchwiz then make it completely lagless.
IR transceiver.
Big ass loud speakers.
Don't add silly gimmicks like a pulse sensor where you have to be still to use it. Add an O2 saturation sensor if you want to be real clever (which will also have a pulse rate).
Touch ECG on the back would be clever (3 contacts on the back plate touching the skin would work and the tech's been there for 10 years+ now.
1. Don't do no flexible display or curved screen like the LG gay-flex looks horrendous.
2. 64gb internal memory at least as an option but I'm content with 32gb for now.
3. 3-4gb ram just cuz touch wiz uses too much ram.
4. Have at least the SD 805 chip (tho I'd prefer 810, knowing it's not gonna be available til next year). I'll probably hold off til the note 5 is released.
5. The note can do 6" screen but dunno if I need more than that for even a phablet device, still it's possible but I expect 5.9 maybe even 6.1.
6. Keep the plastic! I love my cheap feeling phone and so do all the jealous haters talking smack about it with their broken and dented "premium" phones lol

I would like the Note 4 to be a little thinner when front facing, because it is quite big for me, and front facing stereo speakers just like the one on the HTC one M8, also dual sim, and 50% more battery compared to the Note3's battery.
I wish KNOX and all other development-blocking features/restrictions to be gone, which void our warranty.
EDIT: If KNOX really is related to hardware, then it fits here.

It seems everything is wishing for FANCY stuff, So lets get back to the basics.
1.Bigger battery capacity or at least new technology like the one LG has been working on.
2.Higher quality control for their screens,I had a note 2 now bought 3 note 3 one for me two for friends all has screens with flaws.
3.More ram and a faster CPU will mean nothing if Touchwiz is not optimized, Touchwiz need to be tuned down and optimized.
4.Better optics,Resolution alone mean nothing,I heard great things about S4/Note 3 camera but both turned to be crap (personal opinion).
5.Higher quality material,I like plastic for its light weight and resistance to denting,But boy does Samsung use some cheap quality ones, Have a look at nokia or Oppo Samsung, That's how you make a high quality phone.
6.Give Knox to the versions you sell to corporates only,Don't lie and make us feel its not their mainly to stop us from rooting and still claim warranty.
I dont care for gimmicks or faster specs where my experience will still be far from perfect.

In addition to those, I wish Samsung would remove the unnecessary bloat or at least make them optional during the setup. I know this is a software issue though.
Make embedded Qi charger like on other devices so we don't have to buy the receivers. I am willing to pay extra for these features.
Also a truly worldwide LTE channels like that on the Sony xperia. I don't know why samsung has to make several devices just for LTE channels when they can make one device Support true worldwide channels.
There are realistic hopes and there are just dreams
Realistic hopes/predictions:
- fingerprint scanner
- better controller for eMMC / microSD (speeds up to 8 * Note3 are now possible but it is realistic to only expect at most 2x)
- some water/dust protection
- better speaker(s)?
- possibly 4k screen?
Longer-term stuff (but I will only upgrade from my Note 3 when some of those will materialize, likely in Note 5):
- 64-bit ARM v8
- 4 GB RAM, about twice the current bandwith
- I would also want a better GPS that would not depend so much on being Assisted
Just dreams:
- dual microSD with RAID 1 option
- camera with zoom and real image stabilization.
I'm taking the perspective of things that are easily possible and would go a long way.
1. Stereo speakers.
It boggles my mind a little that this is missing from any phablet. Would make a huge difference just to play a game and not have to hear the sound always coming from the left.... which is pretty annoying.
2. Make it look cooler by designing better plastic covers.
Metal is nice but I don't care if they use plastic; it has its advantages too. But for God's sake Samsung, stop designing such crappy looking covers. Make it plastic, but make it look good like umpteen other companies do. I bought a $5 replacement cover; looks much better.
3. OIS.
This is a bit more advanced but if the Note 4 doesn't have OIS, its camera is going to take a beating in reviews.
4. Keep 1080p
Don't increase the resolution. Apps don't use it, eyes can't see it. Don't waste the money on research, don't waste our money on more expensive devices, don't waste GPU performance on filling a 4K screen for nothing. Stick with 1080p and put the time and money saved into something else that's much cooler. Admittedly I'm sure they're well past that point in its development.
5. Keep the replaceable everything.
Battery, SD card, entire cover. These are all huge advantages to the Galaxy range, becoming harder to find elsewhere.
6. FM tuner and transmitter
I would like to have the real radio back, but I know they won't do it. But more importantly, I'd love to have a transmitter in my phone. My very first smart(super, super, superdumb) phone had this. It is cooler than having an IR blaster (which is pretty cool too) imo.
That's about it really. Not a lot sorely missing from the Note 3 except stereo speakers and OIS. Anything else I'd add is either boosted specs, or expensive new tech that has yet to find a footing in the market.
Like others, I'm not too fussed either way about waterproofing. Fingerprint scanning also has just as many cons as it does pros, so meh to that also.
If they're gonna add something fancy, add glasses-free 3D. It will have the power and the resolution for it.
4 GB RAM, we already have 3.
64 GB internal memory and the ability to move apps to SD
I don't understand the desire for dual Micro SD. We can already use the 128 GB.
Now dual SIM would be great for traveling.
Screen that I can use in bright sunlight.

Here's my five cents:
1. A brighter screen like in S5, but full hd resolution is enough I think, no need to race with LG in this.
2. Front stereo speakers like in HTC One and better sound quality with decent headset like in IPhone.
3. I hate curved phones or water resistance etc. since it means we have to sacrifice some good features like front speakers.
4. 4 GB ram with a stronger cpu & gpu and true support to developers for a quality AOSP or CM experience in our phones.
5. A more powerfull battery, I think companies should spend more money in this instead of fancy but useless stuff like heart sensor etc.
6. They should keep replaceable battery and removable sd storage and fight against Google in this; not everyone has to use cloud services for Google to earn money. We use sd cards and need to have the ability to access and use it as we want.
7. OIS and dual flash for camera.
8. I don't know how it's possible with stereo front speakers but hard buttons is a must. I hate losing some part of the screen when using the phone.

right now i wanna ask you guys how is the z3? still it didnt released in my country (im from turkey,the land of great taxes) so i dont have any idea about phone. i just saw some pictures, watch reviews and read some specs thats it

Depends on what you want really.
One M8 is huge and has a smaller screen than both Z3 and G3.
Z3 and M8 have much better speakers than the G3.
Z3 and M8 are more premium design than G3.
G3 has higher res screen, but there's no point in having 1440p screens on a smartphone.
Z3 has far brighter screen than M8 or G3.
Z3 has far better battery life than M8 or G3.
G3 feels much better in the hand compared to M8 or Z3.
M8 has the better software compared to G3 and Z3. HTC are very good with updates as well.
One thing I will say, all three phones are very easy to drop. Z3 is slippery glass, G3 slippery plastic, M8 slippery metal. G3 and Z3 are much easier to hold though due to them being much smaller than the M8.
I'll try to sum up my personal impression:
The Z3 is a great phone. Playing 3D games, I had like 10% drain in one hour. The screen is very nice, it's slightly cold white balance is only noticable when you have a warm light source nearby and it can easily be corrected with apps or the built-in settings. The speakers are clear and headphone output is great. Performance is awesome too, I haven't noticed any lagging.
If you're interested in technical stuff: Cores 2 and 3 are sleeping most of the time even with the phone in use and all energy saviing disabled, which in my opinion means that low-level CPU control is quite good. Charging speed is 0.5% per minute on the stock 1.5A charger. Call quality is great, though I'm just sending my unit back as people can barely hear me when I use the built-in micropone. On the headset that came with it (Sony MH750, not noise cancelling), sound quality is great.
I like the stock UI, but if you like Sense, it's likely quite a bit different. Unlocking the bootloader means losing a few features at the moment, but if you really want Sense on it, I'm sure there will be a port coming sometime - you're not the only one.
I have had zero problems with WiFi at home and university (eduroam) so far, but there is at least one more thread where someone complains about WiFi-performance, so it's a definitive statement.
I can't say much about fragility. I have never used a phone without a cover / case, though things tend to fall down from my hands. I'll see how the Z3 holds up to that. I also take the phone out of my pocket before I sit down.
Now, about battery size: You seem to worry about the 2600 mAh M8 battery vs. 3100 mAh in the Z3. Let me tell you that the software has a much bigger impact on battery life than the hardware, especially with two devices as similar as the M8 and Z3 (hardware-wise). My old HTC Desire HD drew around 400 mA with the screen on and in use, the Z3 with it's much bigger screen and faster CPU takes around 260 mA. If you can get your hands on an M8, install something like "Battery Monitor" or "3C toolbox" and see if you can get a few readings while using the phone as you would normally (normal brightness etc.). The Sense UI might use more or less power than the Sony one, for example. So while it's true that the M8 has a smaller battery, it doesn't mean that the impact on runtime is the same as the difference in capacity.
I did not compare the Z3 to the M8 before buying it because I don't like Sense since 3.5, and because I really wanted to have a long battery life, so I can't compare it any further, sorry.

On the headset that came with it (Sony MH750, not noise cancelling), sound quality is great.
I like the stock UI, but if you like Sense, it's likely quite a bit different. Unlocking the bootloader means losing a few features at the moment, but if you really want Sense on it, I'm sure there will be a port coming sometime - you're not the only one.
I have had zero problems with WiFi at home and university (eduroam) so far, but there is at least one more thread where someone complains about WiFi-performance, so it's a definitive statement.
I can't say much about fragility. I have never used a phone without a cover / case, though things tend to fall down from my hands. I'll see how the Z3 holds up to that. I also take the phone out of my pocket before I sit down.
Now, about battery size: You seem to worry about the 2600 mAh M8 battery vs. 3100 mAh in the Z3. Let me tell you that the software has a much bigger impact on battery life than the hardware, especially with two devices as similar as the M8 and Z3 (hardware-wise). My old HTC Desire HD drew around 400 mA with the screen on and in use, the Z3 with it's much bigger screen and faster CPU takes around 260 mA. If you can get your hands on an M8, install something like "Battery Monitor" or "3C toolbox" and see if you can get a few readings while using the phone as you would normally (normal brightness etc.). The Sense UI might use more or less power than the Sony one, for example. So while it's true that the M8 has a smaller battery, it doesn't mean that the impact on runtime is the same as the difference in capacity.
I did not compare the Z3 to the M8 before buying it because I don't like Sense since 3.5, and because I really wanted to have a long battery life, so I can't compare it any further, sorry.

I own 2 G3's (F460S, D850) currently and here's my take:
The G3 has the best camera (OIS and laser for fast auto focusing , faster than any phone I've used)
The 2k screen is noticeably better (I had a Note 3 before this and you can tell the difference in resolution)
The speaker on the G3 is louder/better sounding than the Note 3 and S5 (I haven't tested it against the m8)
The G3 UI is very clean and simple without being too heavy.
The G3 is the size of the Z3 maybe a little smaller with a bigger screen.
I love my G3's but I'll probably get a Z3 as a backup phone however I don't think I'd use it as a primary.
I have had the d850 "ATT Brand" G3 for awhile now. Having had an HTC for my last 3 phones I was hesitant, but I've grown very fond of the G3. It is very simple u.I. great screen and battery life as well. Most features stock on G3 are what people were wanting on an AOSP ROM after rooting. I thought this was awesome! I'm coming from the HTC One and while the Boomsound speakers sounded great at first they deteriorated over time. The G3s speaker is excellent and with good quality tones or music the hi-fi shines and sounds great. Everyone will have different opinions or problems, likes/dislikes with any product. Actually they're all great devices I'd pick the one which best suits you. Good luck!

The M8 handles gaming better on the battery, the speakers on the M8 are far better than the Z3, so is headphone volume.
Screens are comparable, but Z3 is brighter, M8 is better quality (White balance etc) in my opinion.
Can't go far wrong with either. Z3 if you aren't gaming too much, M8 if speaker quality and gaming are important.
Camera is probably a little better on Z3 except with moving targets.

i didnt get the "m8 handles gaming better on battery" part. i love gaming but m8 have 2600 mah battery, z3 have 3100 mah battery also got 2 power saver modes (stamina, ultra stamina)
i read on websites they said m8 have the worst camera compared to its rivals. z3 have solid 20.7 mp but m8 have 4mp with a ultrapixel sensor.
also i heard boomsound is worse than beats?
anyway its an old smartphone compared to its rivals. first i was waiting for m9 but it will released at 2015 first quarter.its a long time and i cant continue with hox anymore

well i mosty use whatapp, 3G Mobile Data is nearly always online, and play some games after the htc one x experience im thinking twice for htc

well my friend is using a g2. i was recommend it to him when he was a bit confused between samsung and lg and he was a samsung fan.
he just love it, also he says "you must get g3, i test it and after the g2 experience i totally recommend it to you, you must be insane if you not think to buy g3"
also i loved the laser focusing but some users says in turkish forums they having issues with laser focusing.
well in my country these phones are bit expensive. i mean im pretty sure i will use it min 1 year so im just trying to do the right choice for myself.

I have never had an issue with the laser focusing and I have had a G3 since it launched in Korea back in late may/early June. The G3 is a good phone I do like the Sony as well but it has too many issues currently for me to buy it.

well im just worried about camera(13mp s5 have 16, z3 have 20.7), battery and if i read correctly there is a little lag at the ui (mainscreen, menu etc) because of the high resolution screen
also issues like what? i only know about glass crack and overheating when recording 4k. i dont wanna buy a phone with issue anymore. my hox still in guarantee because of wifi. this is the 4th time i send them.i requested device change this time

I have used 4k recording and my phone doesn't get hot. Keep in mind I had the SD805 version of the G3. Also while battery life isn't as good as Sony (I get 5hours SOT on a good day ) I can replace the battery in less than 20 seconds. I have 2 batteries since my phone is the Korean version and it comes with a spare battery and charger. This is why the battery life isn't a big deal. The biggest thing I want is a waterproof phone, I love my G3 and I plan to keep it but the waterproofing is what I like about Sony. My wife has a s5 and I hate the physical home button so I thought Sony would be a good choice.
My phone has 0 lag I uploaded a short video of the onscreen nav of my phone I'll post the link down below. Its very smooth (~48k on antutu is pretty good) and I'm running the stock ROM rooted with no performance mods. If I ran AOSP it would certainly be faster and get better battery life. Each has their own advantage I will eventually get Sony or another as a backup, I just don't want to go through the hassle of getting s lemon.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos Version) and been thinking of switching to the Blu Vivo X for the 4010+ mah battery, 64gb internal storage, and 4 cameras. Both phone has 4 GB and rams and an Octacore CPU. The Blu Vivo X is currently more than a $100 less than the Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos Version).
What's your thought on the Blu Vivo X and would it be worth switching to it from a Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos Version), even though the Blu Vivo X uses a 720p screen, and Blu has been known for having adwares in their phones in the past?

My thoughts (which are only MY thoughts, I'm not pretending to have the absolute truth):
- Blu Vivo X has a mediatek CPU which isn't at the same level as Exynos or Snapdragon CPU, still it will do the job.
- Blu is know for adware but is also known for having malwares installed
- 4010mAh battery, I would be very careful with that number. A high quality manufacturer will announce the capacity of their battery and you can almost be sure that it is true. Now, when you go to less known, less top quality manufacturers, when they say 3000mAh, you test the battery and it's in fact like a 2000mAh. So before making a choice, find concrete tests which tells you how much time you have with a full charge. Don't listen to people on Youtube with no test protocol who say "Yeah, I can last 2 days with it" because you can't know their perception of things, you can't know if they have been paid, you can't know what they do with their phone. If I turn off Wifi, LTE, and keep the screen of on my OnePlus One, I can last 1 week! Now if I use it normally, I last 1 day, 2 days at the most, but real screen on time is like 6 hours. So be careful and don't trust fanboys or people who just throw numbers like this.
About battery capacity, I give you an example I have read some years ago when Xioami released their external battery pack (10.000mAh). When tested, it was almost good but more around 9000mAh. They had compared to unknown brands found on Amazon, and some batteries announced like 10.000mAh, had in fact less than 5000mAh in capacity. So be careful, Blu isn't such a great highly recommended trusty manufacturer, so I would tend to think their numbers are enhanced for the commercial speech, but in real like, will a 4000mAh battery last a lot longer than a 3000mAh from Samsung, I doubt it.
So in the end, what do you think you will do with the Vivo X than you can't do with the Galaxy S7? That's the real question. You want more storage space? The Exynos version of the S7 has a SD card slot. More battery, better buy an external battery pack, it will cost you less.
That's my point of view, I would never trade a flagship from a very well known brand some model from a brand known for cheap phones and who put Mediatek processors in their phones. I highly doubt that the Blu Vivo X will have internal memory that has the same speed as a Galaxy S7, I highly doubt the pictures from the Vivo X would beat the S7, I also highly doubt you will have more "Screen on time" with a Vivo X as Samsung has spent time to optimize their system (you can also debloat it to gain battery life by removing all Samsung crapware). That's only my point of view, but I don't think it's a good idea. You should make your own idea by reading LOT (not just 1 or 2) reviews on the Blu Vivo X, watching videos on Youtube and read between lines, don't trust people that aren't even tech journalists ; )
EDIT: Here are some interesting reviews I've found on Amazon of people not only putting 5 stars and saying "great phone!":
Review 1: "This phone does exactly what the description says. It takes Ok pictures, is thin and comfortable in the hand, and is relatively easy to use. However, the processor speed and user interface, are not up to par with a Snapdragon or Galaxy S. I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade my Galaxy S7 to the VIVO X. I was not impressed. The system response was slower than what I'm used to and the UI just feels "cheap" to me. On a brighter note, the front camera was awesome for using Google Duo to talk to my son while I'm on the road. Its not a bad phone, I just feel like my S7 is a better phone."
Review 2: "I'm pretty conflicted with this phone. I want to adore it, however there are some pretty major setbacks that I'm not sure if I can look past. With that being said, I'd still recommend this for the price.

Pros:
- The screen is big but you don't get a big phone. I've strayed away from 6" because I'm a little person, but I quite like holding this because it's skinny enough that small hands can hold it and also enjoy a "big boy" screen.
- It's smooth. It's definitely faster and more smooth than my last phone (HTC Desire Eye). Installing apps is lightning fast, scrolling through google is a breeze, and having multiple apps in the background doesn't slow it down.
- Sound quality is quite good. It's bass-y, which I like. It picks up the slightest noise though, which could be great or bad depending on the situation I guess. It goes quite loud as well.
- Plenty of storage. You'll be able to fit thousands of photos, songs, and quite a lot of apps onto this phone.
- Fingerprint scanner is awesome. I've never had a phone that did this, so it's kind of fun.
- Messaging notification drop-down is AMAZING. I LOVE this feature. I was pleasantly surprised when someone texted me and I was able to read/reply from the drop-down, all while staying on whatever page.
- You can do split-screen. I think it depends on the app though. In theory, it's great that you can have two pages up at a time.
- Android nougat is so nice. I had Android 5.0 with my last phone. Upgrading to 7 is definitely what I needed, and hoping for an update to Android 8 in the next year, maybe?
- The actual feel of the phone is high-end. It feels like a top-rated phone, but without the pricetag.
- All of Google's apps come already installed. I personally don't use many of Google's features, so luckily it's easy to remove them and add some extra storage to the phone.
- It came with a screen protector already on, an extra screen protector in the box, and a case as well! It also came with the standard charging accessories and some earbuds.
- Fast startup/reboot. The initial startup is a bit slow and worrisome, but it's just the one time as it gets itself ready for you! After that, turning it on is quick.
Cons:
- The camera. So many problems with it. I'll go into detail at the end of this post. This is the biggest obstacle holding me back from possibly sticking with this. My last phone had a superb camera that was clear, could focus on micro surroundings, adjusted perfectly to light... And this camera fails in all those areas.
- The resolution IS as advertised. No you won't be getting the clearest of words on your screen, but it's passable. It's noticeable if you switch from a better resolution phone like I did though.
- The lack of cases is strange, I must admit. Hopefully some more come out soon.
- No theme, at least not that I could tell. I think all of my past Androids of recent years have had an option for different interface themes. This doesn't seem to have this feature.
- I couldn't access ANY ringtones/notification alerts. I had to download a ringtone app.
- 14GB of my 64GB was already taken up. I can't figure out what's taking up so much space. I've gotten rid of any bloatware (luckily wasn't a lot, so great job, BLU), but 14 is still a lot.

I'd love to give it 5 stars, but there's just one thing that's so jarring to me, and I don't understand it at all... When you use your camera (back and front), the window on your screen is crisp and beautiful (back is, front is lackluster). But when you go to look at the image, it's blurry. It's like it goes from the supposed 13MP+, down to maybe an 8MP (at best) once the picture is actually taken. I'm pretty miffed at this. I mean, really, the camera specs are a lie.
To go along with the camera, it also has a hard time focusing on things close to it. For example, selfies are a joke. You get that perma-airbrushed look even without the beauty filter on. I have freckles, but you can't see them in the photos. Some different camera apps make the clarity and focusing a bit better, but you'd more than likely have to deal with obnoxious ads unless you want to pay for a different camera app.

Overall, I'm not exactly happy with it, but I'm not mad either. I really wish the camera was better. I switched from a 2014 phone which excelled in that area, so it's sort of hard to downgrade after spending a couple hundred bucks. I did upgrade in many areas which is nice though. I sort of want to return the item, but I might keep it. Luckily I'm not a huge selfie taker, so I may not care too much about the problem a week from now."
So all in all, I've also read some reviews from tech websites, the Vivo X seems to be a good phone FOR THE PRICE. So if I were you, I wouldn't expect a 250$ phone to have the same quality of components of a 700$ phone. Mediatek processor, Only Gorilla glass 3, LCD screen not Amoled, Camera with only "ok quality". If you extrapolate, that can give you an hint of the quality of the internal memory, of the quality of the RAM used, the quality of the GPS chip (will it fix your position as fast as a S7? Don't know, but I doubt it).
To me, your question is similar as saying "I have a Ford Mustang, is it worth switching to a "add name of any common cheap car" ?" You see what I mean?
No way!!! Why you would do that? It`s more like a downgrade.. If you really want a change, something stock, more storage, more ram, quickly software updates and maybe a better battery backup, you can change the s7 for a OnePlus 5T, or simply you can wait for OnePlus 6 which is launching in june..

Yes it's true, these are the best alternative to my point of view too, but the only thing is that it's not on the same budget level (250$ for the Blu Vivo X and 500$ or more for the OnePlus phones). Though, you summed up all I said very well, S7 to Vivo X is a downgrade.
