mx player subtitles sync - MX Player

Im trying to sync the subtitles in mx player however when i open the panel, i only see the subtitles' file name and the sync sec. I cant see the subtitles that im adjusting so i would have to guess if the subtitles are already adjusted. I would be only able to see the subtitles once i finish adjusting the time for the subtitles. Is there any way to adjust the time of the subtitles while actually seeing the subtitles? So that i could adjust it properly. Thanks

[Q] TCPMP player does not display subtitles

I installed the TCPMP player, but he does not display subtitles. Is there a setting for it? What the format subtitles should be?
Please, I am desperate.
TCPMP supports srt for sure, as for others I just don't remember,
there's quite a few TCPMP releases floating around,
so not knowing your verison it's hard to say whether lack of subs on your device is a bug or a feature,
nevertheless - you could just deinstall whatever you have and check this one, fresh, stable, subtitles work
Tnx a lot
I still do not see subtitles. Whether any adjustments in options/settings/subtitles?
Found: For subtitles need change DirectDraw to GDI

[Q] Subtitles problem

Well. I'm a bit an anime fan. I tried watching an mkv video on my new tablet but it doesn't show any subtitles. There's a label beside the video SSA and I know it is within the video not a separate file. I tried searching for a fix but no luck. When I tried to view it in VLC, the subtitles show up.
How can I enable it or something? I'm kinda new to MX player.

Crazy Subs

Since I have been using MX free I have had the problem of MX playing the wrong subtitles or playing the commentary subtitles. How do I disable all subs or make MX play the right subs. Also, very often MX play subs on top of subs. I can disable one layer, but never the other. This Sucks, since I bought the program.

Click to collapse
Just de select the all available subtitles from Subtitle list shown when tapping on icon. If you still get a Subtitle, probably it's hard coded.
One more thing, in some devices when HW decoder is used it may show subtitles even after disabling the subtitles. It's a system issue. Sometimes disabling the Captions under Accessibility options of your system settings will help to get rid of this issue.

Problem with subtitle naming when playing back DLNA files from Serviio

Hi
This thing has been bugging me for a while, and just now I decided to gather enough info to be able to describe the issue properly.
The effect of the issue is that all the media i play back from my Serviio DLNA server on MX Player on my Android TV is named "ORIGINAL" as far as MX Player is considered — at least with regards to subtitles. If I pause playback, the top left corner will display the actual filename, e.g. "My Cool Video.mkv," but MX Player will suggest "ORIGINAL" as title when searching for online subtitles. I then have to manually correct the title to whatever the correct one is, and search for it. It will then download those subtitles as "ORIGINAL.srt," and play them back correctly.
However, as the next video that I play back is also seen by MX Player as having the name "ORIGINAL," it'll load those same subtitles download before that now don't match and that's no fun. Fetching correct subtitles online will overwrite the previous subtitles, etc.
I suspected the issue might be with how Serviio presents the media files, and surely enough, I can see that DLNA URLs are all of the form http://192.168.7.100:8895/resource/40385/MEDIA_ITEM/MATROSKA-0/ORIGINAL.
But, clearly, MX Player has access to more information than this, seeing as how it displays the actual filename in its UI. Am I wrong in assuming this is a problem on MX Player's end?
BTW, this combo of UPnPlay and MX Player on Android TV is friggin' awesome. Beats Kodi every day, MX Player is fantastic!
Cheers,
Daniel

MX Player Subtitles Settings not working on videos with SSA subtitles

I had my MX player's subtitle settings working just fine on all videos without bias. Recently I had to uninstall my MX player and reinstall it. After that, I tried to change the subtitle settings by changing the text size and text color. However, not all videos are taking this change into effect. The videos which have SSA subtitles are not taking any kind of modifications in how the subtitles are displayed and showing the default white colored subtitles with default text size. But earlier, before reinstalling, the same videos used to have these customized subtitle settings which I put into effect.
I have tried newer and older versions of MX player but the problem persists.
