[Q] Sprint Galaxy Nexus-Transfer Issues - General Questions and Answers

Hello, Not sure if this is a nooby question. But, I've been playing around with roms for a while. Right now, im using the SlimKat rom on my Galaxy nexus ( version 4.4.2. Slim version: slim-4.4.2.build.5-official-4076). I was trying to change roms today. I went through the usual stuff. Factory reseting the phone and deleting the cache. When i went to transfer the files for the new rom to my phone from my PC i get an error that says " Cannot copy item The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected". I can delete things on my phone from my computer and take files off the phone, but it wont let me put files on. After thinking it was the rom, i went to the toolkit to try to install the stock rom. This also didnt work. Any tips?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 L710 Flashing Cyanogenmod Failure

I am stuck. My phone won't accept any ROMs I try to install. It keeps giving me the "Status 7" Error and I can't figure out why!
the backup recovery failed.
I am using TWRP as my recovery, but it is an old version (V2.2.1.1). I have tried multiple releases for CM, but none of them work, not even the stable ones.
The phone has already been wiped so i cant get back into stock android to fix much.
I have tried going into the "updater-script" file and deleting the code for checking the device matches the rom, but no luck. i have also tried installing a rom that wasn't cyanogenmod but i ran into the same problems.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME?!?!?
I really dont want to have to throw away a good phone because i missed something.

[Completed] Formatting Samsung S3 Problem

Hey, so basically I'm in a situation where I have no idea what to do.
I recently just got a new phone, and am going to give my Samsung Galaxy S3, SGH-T999V model - from Wind Mobile to my Dad. Basically, when I first got the phone - a couple months after, I decided to try Rooting it, and I did, successfully. Since I didn't really know what to do with my rooted phone, I decided to unroot it - then tried rooting it again some months later, but it didn't work successfully. Basically my phone wasn't rooted, but I had the "Team-Win" recovery on it.
I wanted to bring my phone back to it's original state - and have the stock recovery on it. After some Googling, my solution seemed to be to flash the stock rom for the SGH-T999V model onto my phone using Odin. And I did that - and it worked successfully. But I still couldn't check for OTA updates or anything, it said my phone had still been modified in an unauthorized way.
Now that I need to give the phone to my Dad, I have to format the device and erase everything. This is where my problem starts. When I try to format it (using the Stock recovery), I see a bunch of error messages, with the Android logo falling down in a kind of dead way. I reboot my device, and nothing changes.
It still has all my data, and everything on it.
Sorry if this is the wrong area to post this (I'm relatively new to the forum), and if my problem doesn't make much sense - I've tried being as detailed as possible. Could anyone help?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Flashing the stock firmware should show you to get ota's. This should have everything you need,http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/samsung-galaxy-s3-sticky-roll-thread-t2344125. [Q] Verizon Galaxy S3- Me Messing up

As the title of this suggests, I messed up BIG TIME when attempting to get Cyanogenmod on my Verizon Galaxy S3.
Long story short, I tried putting CWM on my phone without looking up things about it, like whether or not the bootloader was locked for 4.4.2 Kitkat, which it was, and has been since 4.3 Jellybean, which I did not know at the time I tried screwing with my device (which was around a week ago), and I started trying to mess with the phone without knowing what the hell I was doing, since the last time I tried modding a GS3 was over two years ago.
Long story, well, long, I tried installing CWM via the ROM Manager app, and, upon installing it, I screwed up the recovery mode on the phone. It wasn't a big deal, until I decided I wanted to put the latest version of Cyanogenmod on it, instead of using the stock Touchwiz interface.
Well, a couple days ago, I stuck Safestrap on it, and was able to use that as a recovery mode, since the normal recovery mode was locked off, entirely.
I figured that, tonight, I would look up ways to stick Cyanogenmod on my GS3.
I found a couple ways to do so, downloaded the gapps file I needed, the SU binary update, as well as an unofficial version of Cyanogenmod to let me use 5.1 Lolipop.
Well, I wiped the cache on the phone, as well as the dalvik cache, and factory reset the thing, ad went to the folder I put the gapps, SU binary update, and CM files in, and tried installing them.
Well, the SU update went fine.
gapps won't install.
The CM file I'm using SAYS it's installed, but the phone doesn't have an OS, which is confusing me.
I don't know if the phone is bricked, I just know that I did something stupid, and I don't know how to put an operating system back on the phone, either through Kies or Odin (I can't install anything from the SD card in the phone, because now I can't access it, since when I boot it up, there's no OS, and I need one to access the files on the device).
Whenever I try using Odin to put either a stock firmware version on it, it fails.
My phone, in DL mode, says: "SECURE CHECK FAIL : RECOVERY"
I don't know what this means, but I think it means I'm pretty well screwed.
I need to get rid of CWM and Safestrap via my computer, THEN reinstall the stock recovery mode on my computer, too.
I NEED to know how to do this.
If there is ANYONE out there who can help me out, or direct me to some other thread, that would be amazing, and GREATLY appreciated.

[Completed] [Q] Don't really know where to go from here

Alright, this is a long story.
I own an LGMS500 from MetroPCS (or the LD500 Tmobile version).
A year back I rooted the phone, but a couple of months ago it started to act up Giving me the message "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." at first a restart would fix it but a few days after it got to the point where I couldn't use it. So I set out to fix it.
I knew I needed to flash it back to stock ROM since a factory reset and a hard factory reset didn't do anything. But for some reason I decided that flashing a custom ROM was a better Idea. I ended up flashing the xperia ROM and it soft bricked it ( It turned on and booted but wouldn't let me past a black screen, yet I could lower the status bar).
Then I tried to flash the stock ROM or the "MS50010e_03.zip" to load with KDZ. from:
http://androidforums.com/threads/metropcs-unbrick-kdz-for-metropcs-updated-11-13-2013.788365/
But every time I tried it it came back with a parameter error, I changed many things with no avail, Then I figured that since the phone had a tmobile version I flashed the tmobile stock ROM onto the phone and it worked, even let me use data. But after a few days it stopped letting me use data, with a "Service Disabled message on the status bar where it should've shown the mobile carrier. When I went to check my phones mobile data status I noticed that My IMEI # was unknown.
After some research I came to the conclusion that something was wrong with my EFS folder since that's where all that information resides.
At the moment the phone restarts after about 3 minutes of usage, I should also mention that I rooted the phone after the tmobile stock ROM install because of what this thread suggested I should do.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021
Basically I need to know if my conclusions are correct and what kind of steps I should take to recover the phone if possible.

FIXED it
I just loaded the MS50012b_00.kdz from:
android creations on the weebly site (sorry I can't post links yet)
This is the only image that worked the first time. After that my phone worked normally, accessed the mobile network correctly and the crashing stopped.
I even installed the xperia ROM that is on that page. Everything is running smoothly now.

Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 5.0 downgraded to N900AUCUCNC2 Problems!

Hey guys!
First time posting on this site but I'm hoping you guys can help!
I have a Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 5.0 Lollipop version.
My ultimate goal is to root my Note 3. Since in the past I have rooted my old phones and love it. But with the Note 3, specially the N900a 5.0 lollipop version, it seems hardest to get accurate root instructions for.
After days of searching over many forums, I came to the conclusion that I need to flash my version (using Odin) Lollipop 5.0 OC2 back to Kitkat 4.4 NC2 and then from there I can use Towel Root to root my device and then upgrade to 5.0 again. So I thought..?
First of all, I backed up all my contacts and apps and everything using Easy Back Up. To my ext SD card an then I removed my ext SD card for safe keeping. Then I downloaded the required (working) Odin N900AUCUCNC2 files. Which was 4 separate files. I then put my phone into Odin Mode and connected to PC and ran Odin with the files selected. Everything went smooth, passed and my phone rebooted.. of course I was expecting a full factory reset with the new version. But when I check the version it says I'm still on 5.0??? And I even tried to fire up Towel Root and it won't even let me go to the site anymore and gives me a 404 error messege. All other sites seem to work tho.
Also to confuse things more, I turned off my phone and put my SD card back in to retrieve my back up and everything else on it. But... there's nothing there! It's complete wiped clean! Which doesn't make sense since I didn't have it inside my phone during the flashing progress.
So now I basically flashed my phone for nothing and lost all my data in the process.
I thought I was more computer savy than this but I guess this one stumped me and I could really use your guys help.
Where did I go wrong and how can I fix it?
