I have an apk of mine which I have created using eclips but unfortunately I didn't added any admob ads on it..Now I have browsed xda forum and found an post about how to recompile and decompile of an apk ...From that trick I managed to decompiled my apk ..Now I want to ad admob ads on it.but don't know how

There was a request on the evo 3d forums to make google search app use https instead of http. Original Thread
So i edited the apk to use https and it apparently works on any device.
I'm not sure of the benefits of it but figured i'd post it for others that want to use it.
I modified the strings.xml file changing the search string. Like so:
Replace the lines in your file with this.

Install
Uninstall/Remove GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk from /system/app
Copy apk to your sdcard
Reboot
Copy apk from sdcard to /system/app
Got to the apk in a file manager like root explorer, es explorer(free) and install
This apk should install on any device please post what device you have and if it worked.

I'm gonna see if I can get this going on the Sensation and the new version MyTouch but this installed with no issues and does have the widget and main app and both work without FC's, good work man.

You have to use apktool to decompile the apk. There is a gui one now that makes it easier look on the portal from a few days ago.

6.lucky patcher its also a very good addblocker,but i can not put a link here because i think its forbidden,because it can do more then just blocking adds,if you wanto try it just use google

8. New Airpush Detector this will detect which application is integrated with Airpush and detailed status like smart wall ads , push icon ads, push ads status. You can click an application to open setting and uninstall that application.there are a few more airpush detectors around ,for me this one works the best

Hey gyzz, You know about ROM toolbox pro app its a good app for root users that means you can do a lot of things including clean ram, reduce app usage, change boot animation, install ROM and many more things.
Recently what happen i happened to know from someone that Rom toolbox pro sometimes crashes sometimes, the reason they don't know. So today I am coming with the fixed version of it.. Here is it
THE REASONS FOR CRASHES
The reason for crashing app is that sometimes ROM toolbox pro failed to recognize the license through an internet.
HOW DO I FIXED IT
By changing some permission in manifest XML after decompiling.
