It only seems like a few months ago that we got kitkat, now there is another totally new version of android? Wow! I wonder when samsung will officially release it for the S4?
Btw, the keyboard looks nice, but I love my white S5 keyboard too much to change it.

I'm in love with the new Material look of Android L. This new keyboard would work so well with an Android L theme for Touchwiz. I hope someone makes one. I'd attempt it myself but my laptop is out out of commission for at least the next month or two :'(

Links are fine here.
Anyways, download the attachment and push it to system/app/ with 644 permission, or try downloading any of the signed apk and install.
---------------------
Added signed apk download links in OP. Report if anything is not working.
I am getting a conflicting package error with the original aosp calculator. Can you change the package signature?
Doesn't work.
Tried replacing it in System/app, gave it permissions, rebooted.
App doesn't show up in app drawer, even though it says "App Installed" after installing it again from /system/app
Doesn't let you open app.
I'm using dark version.
Testing this on: SGS Vibrant 4.2.1 CM10.1

I already uploaded an XHDPI supporting one . Grabbed from patchrom git.
Edit: Although mine I did the switch differently and its only dark themed one, but patchrom git one is JB only. Just do what I did and merge in the xhdpi stuff from the JB one, its still compatible.

Anyways, tested on my friend's Galaxy S3 (non-root), and layout is fine..

I was asking if the package signature could be changed because I don't have a rooted galaxy nexus and thus can't install by moving it to system/app. Trying to install the normal way gives the conflicting package error.

[MOD][4.4.2]White Samsung Keyboard

This is a white Samsung keyboard for KitKat.
It is based on the 4.3 white keyboard that doesn't work on 4.4.2.
I have moded the new 4.4.2 keyboard by using the old 4.3 keyboard as template

Pre-requisites: n9005 updated to 4.4.2 rom with the stock Samsung keyboard (it's posible to try it on a themed keyboard but there are no guarantees). Root & Recovery. 30 spare seconds . Also please have another keyboard installed if this mod destroys the keyboard so you can easily recover.
The keyboard should work on all stock deodexed n9005 KitKat roms. It is also true about all custom deodexed KitKat roms that use the stock keyboard. It was tested by several users with the excellent X-Note 8 rom. It was NOT tested on odexed roms and it will probably not work so please beware.
How to: I have prepared a VRTheme script to take care of the mod. All you need to do is install it in the recovery. If something goes wrong there is a backup of the original keyboard on internal Sdcard in the vrtheme-backup directory. I have also added the original Samsung keyboard in recovery format below if you need to recover from a bad install.
I hope you will like the keyboard as much as I enjoyed preparing it for you.
Version 1.3: Complete re-do to fix the button sizes. Left the color change from previous version. Also added an original black extra symbols version - 1.3a
Version 1.4-NF4:New version for people on rom version NF4, NG2 or up. Don't use the old version as Samsung updated the keyboard and the old mod doesn't work. Also added again an original black extra symbols version - 1.4a
Credits go to VillainROM for their great theming script
Cheers mate, downloaded and ready to flash. :highfive:

[PATCH][APK/ZIP] Standard Kitkat/iPhone/Samsung Emoji's instead of LG Stock

This is my first mod I've ever done so please be kind if I have done anything wrong! In theory this should work for AOSP KitKat if you wanted to change to the iPhone emoji's - however I haven't tested this, so please do so at your own risk!
I have tested the zip myself on LG stock and all seems to be OK - this works on the Google keyboard as the stock keyboard.
This will only work with KitKat roms. It will not work with Jellybean!
Thanks to @angelsel in creating an iPhone emoji font, I have made made a second zip for iPhone emoji's too!

Should work on stock kk (rooted) 100 %.
Cloudyflex is -> flex port but anyways should work.
maybe the emojis are in different file then.

I'm on Cloudyflex myself mate - can't possibly be that! From what I can see the LG and AOSP point to the same file.
EDIT: Well I'm on Cloudystock, would have thought flex would point to the same though
EDIT2: Cloudyflex is a Jellybean rom at the moment. This will not work.

If you're able to pull the font for me from the phone I should be able to create you a flashable zip. If it follows the LG/Stock font it'll be called NotoColorEmoji.ttf - if not you should be able to see which font is the biggest filesize and it'll be that one.

great many thanks and small question, how to turn off the annoying vibration while pulling down the launcher upper menu "which contains about, camera...etc" and another Q please..where is the launcher settings? can't find it anywhere?
Thanks.I love it only a couple of issues. Can't access notifications from pulling "up" as launcher tells me to. And can't see battery and signal indicator unless scrolling down and only during the scroll. Also can't change wallpaper. There's only two options and neither of them look like the one in the demo. Those wallpapers are too busy.

Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/theme-twrp-materialised-dark-light-play-t2915584
Features
Recovery gone App: Designed to mimic the look and feel of an Android app.
Customisable UI: 15 different accent colors, center clock option, different navbar button layouts...
Added functionality: built-in ability to flash image files (recovery, radio, boot), bookmark function for file lists, Aroma File Manager support, theme changer...
Availability and Compatibility
Supported TWRP versions: 28XX and Confirmed to be on 2.8.6.0 by me
Supported screen resolutions: 480x800
The theme stays compatible with new versions of TWRP until TWRP changelog says otherwise.
How to install:
Download the theme of your choice and rename it to "ui.zip".
On SD card (if device has internal and external storage, use the internal) open TWRP folder and create a folder called "theme", without capital letters.
Copy ui.zip to theme folder.
Restart to recovery.

CHANGELOG:
-Apr12: Ported the latest version of the theme to the latest TWRP version(2.8.6.0).
-Feb20: Thanks to @Modding.MyMind the Light and Dark themes are ported too. Download links are in the attachments. Also thank him for fixing the porting issue on Lollipop! From now on, I won't be needing to flash CM11 back to port newer versions of this theme
-Feb16: Ported the newest PLAY theme for TWRP 2.8.5.0
BUGS:
-Color switching for Dark & Light versions does not work always
On some devices, the theme is not working, even when placed in the right folder. Fix is located in this post

No need to flash that zip, read the instructions, once you've downloaded, rename it to ui.zip and put that zip in sdcard0(internal)/TWRP/theme

Thanks!

Thank you! Working great
I saw the original thread of this theme and saw that it was only made for HD resolutions and became disappointed because I really like the theme and when I scrolled down I saw that it was ported for our resolution/device
Thanks man!! :victory:

I didn't knew there were any updates. I will port the update in a few days. You know it's almost new years eve, I go to party etc, so expect it after jan 2
Hello @SethPDA ,
I am glad you took the time to port the theme to our (old) devices. It is working great in Nexus S. Is there any way we can disable the on screen buttons? (Given that the Nexus S already has capasitive ones).
Thank you, waiting for the update.

I know right! He has done an excellent job with this port! I can't wait to see the new curtain update he's working on for this port! ???
Thank you for this awesome port, it looks really good.
I have two questions: Is there a way to hide the three buttons shown on the screen, because my device has hardware buttons.
And I have problems with the touch sensitivity, on default twrp it works perfectly, but with the theme I nearly can't use the keyboard.
I'm using an HTC one V with twrp 2.8.5.0
So for some weird reason, I cannot port the newest version.
I am on Lollipop now and the terminal does not allow me to install graphics magic to resize the images. I will try to look for an alternative because the newest features are great and we need them
