I don't understand why they made it like that...on swiftkey i can swype in other languages, furthermore i can select both, because you know,we all use english a little, even if we talk with people from our country and english wouldn't be required,or I come on XDA and I must reply in english,or on facebook messenger with some friends from other contries and so on...it's annoying.

[Q] Q: how to add Hebrew dictionary to ICS?

Hello!
Is there any chance to add Hebrew dictionary to the official ICS?
Thank you!
WOW , google forgot the Israelis !! but why ?
We are always on delay...
On the ICS we can choose Hebrew but without dictionary....
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
I'm just glad they supported RTL languages. I guess you have to with what's available .
Yes the RTL support is amazing and was definitely fixed from GB.
Dictionary aside, is it possible to change input languages the same as in GB? (dragging the space sideways).
Am I the only one changing from English to Hebrew by long-pressing the space?
Try other keyboards, such as SlideIt.
They have a dictionary
Yes I know that other keyboards have dictionary but is there any way to add the words to the ICS keyboard...? There I'd an option add to dictionary manually but I will not add all of the Hebrew dictionary manually...is there an option to take the dictionary file from let's say CM GB rom and replace it with the ICS one?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
OP, did you find any solution?
Thanks
Sent from my Galaxy S Onecosmic's ICS port RC 2.11
Nope...
I hope that the experts will help with that and not only with Hebrew but dictionary for all of the not support languages...
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Joining the request, I also prefer to use the ICS keyboard instead of others, and moshe I also use long press space key to change languages, pretty stupid they've done it this way if you ask me, but aside from that, ICS is awesome
As far as I can gather, it just doesn't exist at the moment. Maybe in the future someone'll convert a different one to ICS but at the moment we're out of luck.
Hope so someone will lift the glove soon...

I have the same question..
I have the Galaxy Nexus and i want to use the stock ICS keyboard
maybe its possible to copy the dictionary file from another hebrew supporting keyboard (like perfect keyboard wich is pretty good) to the ICS keyboard
I gave up... I'm using swift keyboard...

Is this a port of the original JB keyboard or is it the same as your ICS one with a skin on top?
From the picture above, it appears to be almost the same as the ICS, so what is the difference? eep2378 in another thread says that the main difference between ICS & JB his the prediction. Is that in here too?
Thanks

I have uploaded it to the market and this is the link. This may take some time until it will show up in the market.
I have also attached the file to the post.
Beansoft did a similar release to the Play store, but reported these known issues:
* User dictionary doesn't work on ICS (adding words will cause a fc)
* Only English, German, French, Spanish, Portugese (Brazil) and Russian supported

Please comment on if your release also has these issues.

I started typing and it gives predictions almost when i finished the word. It also won't predict what could be my next word until I type most of the word. Not sure if it is expected to work this way.

Nice idea and i'd love to see it (specially prediction) working. But doesn't work on my N1 with AOSP 4.0.4 -> fc -> uninstalled.
Downloading now!!
Have been a loyal user of your ICS keyboard~ Would be great if you can add the same tweaks (e.g. long press enter to get smiley selections) to the JB keyboard as well.

Need a keyboard supporting arrows

Iam using swiftkey keyboard on my Note 1 N7000 and love the arrows feautre to move between words to correct or change words, this feature is not available for swiftkey keyboard tablet version,or the stock keybord, any other recommendations?
I admit this is a major failing for Swiftkey keyboard, which is otherwise a cracking keyboard.
Thumb keyboard has multiple layouts for tablets and also includes arrow keys.
will look at it, do you use it? how is it compared with swiftkey?
Edit
ooops, does not support my native language (Arabic):crying:
Have you tried Hacker's Keyboard in the Play Store. I think it is one of the best layouts available.

Just another tip (especially for those needing some greek letters for math symbols, i.e. α, β, γ, δ, ε, θ, λ, μ, π, ρ, φ, ψ, ω, Γ, Π, Σ, Φ, Ψ, Ω....)
You may ask yourself (as I did): "How can I insert all those symbols if there's no "sym" button?"
Simple answer: in the "Settings" - "Input languages" select "Eλληνικά [el]" (Greek) as an additional input language. After that, with a quick slide on the spacebar, you'll have all those Greek letters in the Greek keyboard layout.
Other examples of symbols that can be typed with the "Hacker's keyboard" are:
≤, ≥, ≈, √, ā, ∞ (x±y)²=x²+y²±2x•y
And, if you use the the Circle key another plenty of exotic symbols can be added, such as
♥ ⓚ a₁ ⅘2ⁿ...
(see this and this links)
It would be much simpler by using the traditional ALT+CharCode combination for the Ascii characters, but I didn't find a way to use that method (the Alt key seems not to combine with the character numeric code).

If you can eventually add swipe support and text prediction/autocorrect, you'll have the best keyboard on the store (there's only 1 alternative)

Hello,,
just wondering if you can make a circular keyboard that utilizes the rotating bezel to select key then tap to accept as the watch has small screen so the circular keyboard wont block the display,
thanks

So i will update about it later, for now i am working on circular keyboard.

Why is this not a thing yet? Can you release the app here then? I'm willing to sideload this amazing looking app.

No kidding...please provide the .wgt for sideload if Sammy is still being picky. The keyboard is one of the biggest shortfalls of the S2/3 compared to Wear 2.0's swipe keyboard and text prediction keyboard..
The keyboard is now in the market, ready for download!!!! the name is TBKeyboard "under utilities"
Have fun.
The Russian layout need to be fix (i will fix it next week).
Just purchased for my S3 classic. Love it! Gave a good review too. Thanks! Would it be possible to add a swype style feature? If not, still awesome.

Google Keyboard (gboard) issue with EMUI 4.0.x

Hello everybody,
since the upgrade to Android 6 I had problem with the Google keyboard, basically I can't choose any language but English (US) and Tibetan!
I tried to download old versions of Google keyboard through APKmirror but the only result is that I don't get anymore Tibetan as option.
Logcat doesn't give any useful information.
Upgrading another H60-L12 of a friend we encountered the very same issue.
what language are you looking for? try a 3rd party like swiftkey

I need at least Italian, but I was used to have few other languages that I use less often
and I'm studying. It's very strange that I can't see the other dictionaries...
Of course now I'm using SwiftKey but I prefer gboard, I find it much more faster and comfortable.
I got the same problem. It's crashing when I try to access the settings.
I use German and English. But when I'm typing only English dictionary is available although I see "DE EN" in the space bar.
But I cannot switch between these languages.
I've also installed APK manually but this didn't help either.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
From Gboard
Hold the comma key.
Select languages.
Turn off Use System Language.
Select the language you need
Hold space bar to select languages
Quite surprising you're getting only two language options. Not so for me. I'm using H60 L04

I've done as described. I can switch now language but the dictionary is still English only.
When I hold comma key and select Gboard settings and try to get into menu item "settings" then it crashes again. The same when I try to access "advanced settings".
So Gboard is still failing.

Updated via OTA
Android 6
Build H60-L04C432B860
So why should the standard ROM not have built in the languages?
That u cant say. Couldn't find a way to add languages too. You should stick to other keyboards then. Try Xperia keyboard. It's nice

The latest version that I see on the play store has been published on 10 Jan and it has the problem described at the beginning.
I found a newer version (not sure about the origin, it has a different icon) on apkmirror but it has problems with the resolution and in any case the dictionary problem is still there.
Did you find a working version?
