so i tried flashing the dev preview today from the factory image. everything flashed fine but once i booted up it never got past the boot animation, so i booted into stock recovery and wiped data/factory reset, and rebooted. Still was stuck on boot animation, so i was going to boot down to flash the 4.4.4 factory image and now it will not turn on at all. It will not turn on to the bootloader, or just turn the screen on in general. Any help would be appreciated, i would hate if this was bricked. thanks in advance
Edit: Pleas delete, idk what happened but my phone is back on and ive flashed the 4.4.4 factory image, next time ill exercise more patience

Press power buttom for 30 secs off the charger. Then connect the phone to the pc. What new device you see in the device manager? Is your screen turning on?

If the phone is still under waranty, you should send it in for repair.
If it is out of waranty, try factory resetting and clearing cache from stock recovery by holding vol+ and vol- while the phone is off, and press the power button until the phone turns on. then only let go of the power button. If you see a recovery menu, you will want to factory wipe and clear the cache. Make sure your battery is charged first.
(EDIT: forgot to mention that vol+ and vol- are up and down in recovery, and power is enter)
Let the phone reboot and let it sit for 10 minutes to build it's initial cache entries.
If that doesn't help, let us know
He already went to tmobile and did the factoy reset and no result. The samsung warranty is on vacation for two weeks and then wait for them to repair it so he came to me because i got my inspire rooted he thought that i could help him but i dont know what else to do.

Did what I say work, or not?
Nope i think its better to get it replace by samsung so he will wait. Thx by the way.
Try flashin a rom via odin. It should be able to be put in download mode.
Ok so I got stuck in a boot loop(hung up on the Samsung screen) and used the MD5 file I found here with Odin and thought it would take me back to stock as the thread suggested. Everything went fine, Odin gave me the big green pass and auto rebooted, but it's still stuck on the Samsung screen and won't boot all the way.
Now I've used Odin a few times before but Samsung devices usually are not my thing. Having flashed, rooted and modded every device I have ever owned I have never NOT been able to fix one. However, I'm at a loss as to why it's not returning to stock. I must be missing something and what I don't know.
Any help in getting me back to a functioning device would be appreciated since I just got it for Xmas.
Boot into recovery, turn off device, hold volume up and power until samsung logo appears.
wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache.
Should boot now....
You know, it would help emmensely if you told us what you flashed or linked the thread you used. Also your device model.
it is normal if you go from JB to stock ICS you need to do a complete wipe by going into stock recovery and then restart the note will boot

Thanks for confirming the button combo, I was sure that was it but couldn't get into it to save my life. Too long holding down I suppose because letting go quicker got me right there and I was able to get it out of the bl.
Thanks for the help
Hi guys!
First off, I'm running on KatKiss 217. For a while now I've been stuck to the boot screen of my tablet. Before that I was using it while USB connected to the PC in our office. But then the battery run out so it turned off, I disconnected it and went back home to charge. When I turned it on while charging it was stuck on the boot screen.
Since I was going to upgrade to KatKiss 218, I went on ahead and flashed the 218. So I Format system, installed KatKiss 218 and cleared Dalvik/Cache. When I rebooted it gets past the boot screen but gets stuck on Android Upgrading: Starting Apps. Tried to revert back to KatKiss 217 but same thing happens.
Any idea how I can fix this? Hope you guys could help me out. Thanks in advance!
I think first of you must flash also the gapps. And full wipe would help too it stalled at start-up screen.
Sometimes flashing the same file twice would force it to installed properly and boot it successfully.
Finally got it to work! As you said, I had to do a Factory reset first to get it to work. Not sure why since I never had to do it before. Still, got it to work now. Thanks, man!
Hello.
I got stuk on the firmware update screen after a factory reset that never rebooted (Maybe it's because I'm having a problem with the USB port. Anyway I tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369 for flashing stock jelly bean (I was already in there before the softbrick) and everything went perfect, it rebooted to android, powered back of and got a PASS message at the end, but after I unplugged the phone and powered ON I got the Firmware Update screen again.
Tried another time but I decided to stop the process once it reboot to android, the phone it worked fine as long as I keep it on, if I power it off I will get the damn Firmware Update screen again after I power it ON. Also if I try a factory reset it will reboot to that screen.
Thanks in advance.
So, my phone was stuck in No Command bootloop. I’ve done the power+volume up and had cleared cache and even done a factory reset. Those did nothing and my phone is still in stuck No Command loop. I think I’ve made it even worse by trying to Flash Recovery and Reboot options in the Nexus Tool Kit because my phone won’t even get to the No Command screen. It just turns on and turns off after Google comes on. Currently it stuck in that loop and only stops once the battery is completely drained. Also i have tried using power + volume up and it doesn't help . Please help

with wugfresh nexus root toolkit click on the button "soft-bricked"(flash stock + unroot) or something like that to restore the phone. After that try another time to unlock and root with a custom recovery (for example twrp).
When nexus root toolkit installing the original lollipop rom, look the "dos window" to see if the software shows errors, because sometimes the process ends without a real restore.
If you have other problems, please post a screenshot.
