I have decided to do an advance exchange with HTC since I don't have a backup phone. I managed to get locked bootloarder no red flags and s on. But forgot to unroot SU. Will this be a problem with SU?? Otherwise I am locked and s on.

Order has been completed! Everything I did should be good to go when doing warranty exchange.

I sent my device back locked, s-off and not tampered and HTC tried to charge me $290.
I talked with them a bit and they eventually removed the charge.
I would guess that you can expect the same results, just don't accept the charge right away.

I believe it was a mistake when he said that. I think her heard unlocked and thought of unlocked as in network unlocking and not bootloader unlocked.

Is there anyway to root the phone without a computer
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
You can't root without s-off and you can't get s-off without one, so no.

I am using Eternity rom and it is great.
I'm new to Samsung and was wondering how to tell if your bootloader is unlocked? Also what do you hold down to get into it? On my HTC rezound all you did was hold power and volume down.
Thanks in advance!

Galaxy SIII's bootloader is locked until you unlock it. And I don't know what you mean "get into it" The way I understand is that the bootloader is just a script that runs when you turn your phone on.
Yeah I ran the script and just wanted to verify it was successful.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about bootloader mode. But I honestly don't know if our phone has that or not. Anyway. You should download an app from the play store called EZ Unlock. It takes like a nanosecond to unlock your bootloader (literally). Once you do that you should be able to flash non kexec kernels. Like Scotts CleanKernel.

It should be locked again unless you used a ota root keeper. Kind of strange, but I guess you could always just odin the BLK3 ROM so it is completely stock.
