Is there any way I can flash a stock firmware without unlocking my bootloader? I only want to flash the xt1032 stock rom to get rid of the second sim stuff.

After flashing stock rom all your data will be erased as well as after unlocking bootloader.
So, why dont you want to unlock it?
Also I saw somewhere how to relock bootloader...
---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ----------
So, this is the way how you can do:
1. Unlock your bootloader.
2. Now use mfastboot for flashing stock rom.
Download stock rom files
Open cmd
Enter:
fastboot oem lock begin
Then flash stock rom
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
Enter:
fastboot oem lock
So, now you have new rom with locked bootloader
I know how that works, I just hope relocking it gets the warranty back... I got this phone because my S3 mini's battery died, I just hope I still have the warranty in case I need the battery changed..

Nope you invalidated the integrity of some files that cant be changed even with the highest root. Basically you loose warranty permanently after unlock because phone recognizes original lock and user lock. You are allowed to flash an oiginal firmware image without unlocking the phone. See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219

Hi, I have the 8gb Moto G Spanish version (don't know any more of it), I unlocked the bootloader yesterday, rooted it, installed CWM and I tried to flash beanstalk but my phone got stuck in the bootanimation (I know it takes time, I left it through all the night and didn't work). After that I tried with other roms (maybe a bad download or incompatible issues or something) but there's no way to make it go past the bootanimation. I tried PA, CM (xt1032) and a couple more but nothing.
I also tried to go back to stock firmware with this guide but couldn't do it either. Can anyone help me?
Exactly the same problem here. Haven't found any help yet

Code:
#mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe erase cache
mfastboot.exe erase userdata
mfastboot.exe reboot
How do I do all that

if your on 4.4.2 all you need is the 4.4.2 firmware or 4.3 firmware, download the zip one, then unzip and double click flashall(windows batch file), it should install the firmware you have, just looked, you need the spanish one or eu, and when i tried to go from 4.4 to 4.3 it came up with an error, in the guide it explains you need to delete a couple lines of code in two files, if you follow the guide you cant go wrong.
Can you link me to the guide please? Would be appreciated

pay attention to post on 3a, if you can only go back to 4.3 you need to do this. also you need adb but dont need to use it, just click on the flashall.bat file, it should then wipe everything and go back to 4.3
Thanks man! I'll try it when I get back home

I bought the dual sim version Moto G from Flipkart as it is only available in India.
Yesterday night i was listening to music at night, stopped it and kept it aside at night.
Today morning i found the lock screen was opening slowly, i thought rebooting the device would clear the problem.
Rebooted, but it went on Bootloop
Just the Motorola blue logo can be seen and next screen is black.
Tried going to recovery but again same bootloop, no android logo,
I didn't do anything with my phone, just used normal apps like whatsapp, facebook.
Had official 4.4 OTA updated a month back. Phone not rooted. Please help :'(
Flash the cwm recovery, wipe and reset data and try.. It might help you.. There are lots of guide to tell you how to flash cwm recovery using Fastboot .. A little Google search will help... Otherwise get the replacement from the flipkart if possible...

Just did a reflash of the stock firmware i already had but of no use :'( it still goes to bootloop.
Flash a stock ROM with the stock recovery, you will lose everyting but IT will surely work.
here search your factory firmware rom or whatever: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
and use this to flash all files with minimal adb and fastboot
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot reboot
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot reboot
you can also replace mfastboot just with fastboot

Before i begin, i am aware there are mutliple other threads about downgrading from KitKat 4.4.2 to JB 4.3 and also have come across the procedure of downgrading. But my query is still different from other ones.
Here is my query, I own a XT1033 dual sim asia with 4.4.2 OUT OF THE BOX. Now, can i manually flash a 4.3 dual sim asia firmware with this status...?
Reason bcz my factory version is 4.4.2 and i was willing to try 4.3 because 4.4.2 has numerous problems with Signal drops, Huge fluctuation in signal, Auto switching to aeroplane mode and back. I came across users of 4.3 out of box and have heard that 4.3 JB had been great in signal quality. Please assist.

I already have an unlocked bootloader and on CM11 since long time. But signal fluctuation issues seems to be in core of 4.4.2 release. I tried Stock Radios of XT1033 Asia, Brazil and India and also flashed stock rom via fastboot commands but none fixed this bug. I gathered feedback from 4.3 users that signal strength was great and there were no crashes in signal (Suddenly aeroplane mode and back normal during ongoing call or during idle status). So, was planning to give a try for 4.3. But i have 4.4.2 out of the box (factory version)
So i was puzzled whether its possible or not possible to try 4.3 with this status
Are there any side effects of downgrading alike breakage of OTA?
Breakage of Bootloader?
Sorry about the essay
Edit : Signal issues only on WCDMA only mode on KK.

there are increased chances of something to go wrong!

Thank you bros for giving your view and ideas.
I undertook risk and tried straight way downgraded yesterday.
Conclusion: 4.4.2 Out of Box (factory version) phones are also downgrade able to 4.3 JB
I downloaded firmware version "Blur_Version.14.85.4.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03" from HERE and also downloaded mfastbootV2 tools. Extracted ROM and Mfastboot tools in same folder.
Saved following commands in notepad and saved it as StockJB.bat and placed in same folder. Executed the bat file and successfully downgraded to 4.3 within a minute.

Warranty :The answer lies within your question mate. Before installing CWM you need to unlock Bootloader (Primary step without fail). And unlocking bootloader itself permanently voids your warranty bcz you will be submitting the oem code and requesting motorola for unlock key. Therefore, they void your warranty there and email you the unlock key.
Another case, if your factory version is 4.4.2 and you downgrade to 4.3 may also void your warranty (Not very Sure). Bcz you are flashing a non-factory version.
OTA Update : Yes, OTA will be working as confirmed by @Sk.D downgrading to 4.3. And upon upgrading back to 4.4.2 also OTA works as confirmed by me.
Signal : The signal crash (Auto switch to Aeroplane and back normal) bug is not available in 4.3. But the signal drop upon covering bottom half of your phone in a moderate 3g coverage area is same on 4.3 as well 4.4.2

Easier way would be to Grab the OTA package of 4.4.4 and update it via stock recovery. Provided you need to on 4.4.2 unrooted and unaltered status.
I haven't tried downgrading from 4.4.4 nor have tried flashing 4.4.4 via fastboot yet. Maybe you made some typo in your command lines.

I have a problem though when i use the guide on the FAQ ( the mfastboot way) everything i flash gets the okay appart from the system spasrsechunks? that gets some sort of error and it says error okay? Well apart from that after i reboot the phone, it has the warning sign but then uses the google bootanimation? ive left it on a good couple of minutes to see if it will boot but it doesnt seeem to want to..

Google animation means that you still have the gpe rom on your phone. This happened to me before when i flashed the GPE rom too. What you need to do is flash your firmware again. Download the stock firmware form this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219 Then what you need to do is run these commands MANUALLY! As in 1 by 1.
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

Hello guys, I´m in doubt here, and although i´ve been reading some posts, I cannot seem to understand the procedure to install Motorola´s 5.0.2 in my Moto G, actually on 5.0.1 GPE.
As far as I know, I need to wipe it off, then convert partitions to f2fs and then flash via custom recovery?
I´ve tried twice, but cannot install TWRP, will try with Phillz.
BTWy, my device is rooted and bootloader unlocked.
Thanx for any guidance you may lend me, I´m at work and cannot dwelve deep into hundreds of threads. I have already downloaded Blur_Version.210.12.40.falcon_umts.Brasil.en.BR.zip the official Motorola 5.0.2.
Thanks!!
you need the 4.4.4 firmware first and mfastboot v2 files to go back to stock motorola firmware.
and since you updated to 5.0.1 GPE, your bootloader has been updated, so when you downgrade to 4.4.4, you will see screen flickers.
Here are the commands, you must enter these commands one by one using command prompt (hold shift, and right click and choose open command window here) in the folder where the firmware files are (including the mfastboot files)
connect your phone to the computer with usb cable and type the command to go into the bootloader
adb reboot bootloader
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1

mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot reboot
and you need this firmware to be installed first before installing the lollipop update
XT1032_RETAIL-BR-SS_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_42_cid12_CFC_1FF
Thanx!
Well thank.you sir, very informative response.
Just to be super super-sure, no need to un-root or lock the bootloader right?

Hello guys I would like to do the same, I have the Gpe and install Motorola 5.0.2, but before I want to know how to fix the flicker screen, I don't get it using android but when I'm on twrp, it's annoying, do you have any idea how to fix it?
Sent from my XT1058 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
nice!
So i´ve flashed 5.0.2, with the method described here, it was *too* easy.
I did not, how ever, get the flickering screen bug...
So thanks again. and this is a safe way to go from gpe 5.0.1 to moto 5.0.2.
