HTC One S Bricked HBOOT 2.13 - HTC One S

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to return the Mrs' HTC One S back to stock but I seem to have bricked it instead!
The phone is running HBOOT 2.13 and RADIO is 1.11.50.05.28 and S-ON.
To return it to stock I relocked the bootloader and then attempted to run RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4.exe
Unfortunately I got the 131 error and now the phone is left without a ROM and only boots into the bootloader.
How do I fix the phone? I believe I need to find the correct RUU but for the life of me I can't seem to find one that works...
The phone is simlocked to T Mobile UK.
Thanks for your help guys!!
Robbie

First you must instal Htc One S Ville Europe 2.31.401.5
Instal Europe_3.16.401.8, after 2.31.401.5

Hey null0seven
Thanks for the suggestion.. Unfortunately I'm still getting the 131 error when trying to use the 2.31.401.5 RUU.
I think I need a T-Mobile UK RUU in order to get the phone working again.. Do you know of any that you can link to?
Thanks
Robbie

You have the same problem with me, both hb1.23 and both can't not boot into system.
I think the only way to solve the problem is to wait for official ICS ruu release. Hope there is another way to solve
in filefactory there is an offical ics ruu, but nothing helped

i tried that way too and i also failed. It said error 155. i guess the reason is that the version of available ruu in filefactory is older than hboot 1.23.
No, before I brick my phone, I flashed ICS ruu and my hboot updated to 1.23

uff.... I finally managed to fix this out by flashing the right ruu
RUU_GOLF_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.4_R_Radio_10.11.98.09_1.06.98.13M2_release_265825_signed
Hi sayed.hosam,
I'm trying to install the asian RUU to get the system in chinese.
But I allways get an error 131 (customer ID error).
I bought the device in Germany, that's why I suppose I have to use a goldcard, althougt it should not be locked by a provider.
After a couple of attempts, it also doesn't work with a goldcard.
Did you need a goldcard to flash the asian RUU?
If yes, did you use mmc0, mmc1 or mmc2 to get the CID?
Installing the european RUU is working for me, but doesn't containt chinese language.

No I didn't need a golden card.. I just found the right ruu and no errors happened !!
I must say that my device was unlocked from the "htcdev" site , and i relocked it before installing the ruu
Thanks for your reply!
Maybe it worked for you because you came from slim-sense, which is not locked.
Did you ever used a gold card on your desire c in the past?

sayed.hosam where did you get the RUU from? I have looked on HTCdev site and for the DESIRE C it only lists CRC files

Hi everyone,
I am trying to revert my phone to stock rom.
I dont know which RUU to flash and I have tried the Asian version. It didnt work and pop out error says I had the wrong version of RUU.
I am now stuck in the HBOOT. It seems the only solution is to find the correct version of RUU.
I have the following information on my phone:
HBOOT-2.09.0001
RADIO-16.05.20.16_M2
Hoping someone could give me some advice such that I could at least use my phone.
Billion thanks...

use command: fastboot getvar cid --> u will get the CID of your phone which will tell u which RUU u actually need.
You need ruu_villec2 2.15

[Q] Sensation XE with T-Mobile Branding - No RUU :( Help

Hi everyone,
yesterday I tried to get a custom ROM on a Sensation XE with T-Mobile brand. I unlocked the Bootloader with HTC-DEV, installed 4EXT Recovery and then Phone was Clean (All Userdata deleted). I forgot to Backup the Stock Software. I searched all over the Internet for a RUU of that Stock Software, nothing.
The Phone isn't booting up to Android, Stucks in "Sensation XE" Screen (Custom ROM: Viper S 1.3.5)
Phoneinfo:
HBOOT: 1.27
S-On
CID: T-MOB101 (can't change...)
Stuck Software number: 3.33.111.151
What can I do to restore this XE or to get Custom Firmware working? (S-Off failed, because Android isn't booting up)
Thanks for your Help!!
Sweet
if you tried to flash a rom then first enable smartflash from recovery and flash the rom again

Have you guys tried to flash system and boot manually from the latest RUU available? It may or may not work, but it's worth a shot.
If you don't know how to get the images out of the RUU, see these instructions.

I have solved the problem with a wype of the system partition because probably, when I flashed the ROM something went wrong. But I don't know if this could help you.
Hello guys, I want to give my HTC One A9 another try... i bricked it long time ago and gave up then. Just like you, I can't find any matching RUU (currently 1.62.161.1). Sadly my problem doesn't resolve if I wipe the system partition. Does anybody got a Image for me or another solution?

If you can get to fastboot, you should be able to restore to a usable state.
Just use TWRP to flash boot and system from another version of the same firmware generation (1.5x or 1.6x for you), then flash SuperSU. If you're lucky, you'll find one that works so that you can s-off to downgrade via RUU or convert as you see fit.
I'm not going into depth here, since there are other threads that cover these topics.
