[Completed] direct me to threads on i537 solutions for Tmobile please - XDA Assist

I have searched for months for threads helping solve the following issues....
i537 on TMobile
1. adding HSPA bands has stopped my roaming data from working (the thread does not explain how to reverse the procedure or trouble shoot roaming data problems)
2. wifi calling has no fix (google talk does not accept incoming calls via wifi using the TMobile phone number)
3. tethering (threads explaining how to do this on a normal s4 do not work on the active i537)

You might want to post the Query on Galaxy S 4 Active Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
1. I am not sure which thread you are referring regarding the Bands I'd suggest you post on that thread regarding your concerns with Reversal.
2. WiFi Calling is T-Mo's own feature. It is not expected to work with Google Voice.
3. Post it on the Q&A Forum linked above.

MMS via T-Mobile's Wi-Fi Calling

It seems like I posted this in the wrong forum earlier - wasn't asking for an answer to a particular question but just wanted a discussion in general. Mods, you can delete the other thread in the Q&A forum. Anyway...
I know this is being discussed in the Development forum, but I can't post anything there because I'm a new member. Anyway, just wanted to get some discussion going regarding MMS capabilities when hooked up to T-Mobile's Wi-Fi Calling feature. It seems like many of the people in the development forums are under the impression that the phone switches to cellular data to send/receive MMS messages, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I use Wi-Fi calling at my house where there is absolutely zero cellular reception and I can definitely send MMS messages as long as I'm on Wi-Fi. I'm not a technical expert by any means so I have no idea how exactly it works but it shows the "G" icon when I send an MMS (which I believe stands for GPRS) and MMS messages can be sent and received.
Just wondering what other people's experiences were regarding this.
When it shows the G, it switches to mobile data to send the text.
That's the thing, I get absolutely ZERO reception (neither GPRS nor EDGE nor 3G/4G) and I can definitely send and receive MMS messages as long as I have Wi-Fi calling enabled. The same sort of thing happens with the T-Mobile My Account app. It won't work over Wi-Fi, but if you actually have the Wi-Fi calling app enabled and connected, My Account works. Check it out.

[Completed] [Q] A T&T Lg G2 &Samsung S5 both unlocked, no Telephone nor text

I have bought two phones from the same person with the same story for both phones; The story goes that ATT could not provide good reception at his home with these phones and replaced them with new ones. He sold me the old ones. Neither are on the blacklist, and now both are unlocked. Neither telephone not texting work on Tmobile, However, both work on Att at Att regional fix it place. T-mobilre states that it is an issue with Att, LG states that the phones are fine.
I recieve these error messages:
LG G2...Upon entering 2945#*800# gets a 5 option menu for sim unlocking, all of which return the message "Your phone is not persaonalized"
.....3845#*800#accesses the hidden menu. yielding: firmware 4.2.2, APN Delete states that there is nothing to delete, RMnet auto connect Mode is Off; RF call info yields calibration status OK; Call Test, Auto call test yields Not implementation: Modem Settings, LTE Band Selection lists Bands 1-5,7,8,17,and 20. All of which when checked result in FAIL.
In Modem Settings, In LTE-A CA setting, There are 3 "buttons" titledCA Enable / SupportedBandO?(it runs off the line) listing all-enable,Pcell B4 Scell B17, and Pcell B2 Scell B17,Pcell B177 Scell B2, and the other two "buttons" CA Disable / Rel. 10, and Rel. 9. For whatever that means.?
I ran a bug report that resulted in a 1,457 page document(5.9mb), not attached, as it is way too big. If you were to run a word search on telephony, it might tell someone more knowledgeable than me what is wrong with this phone. If you need to see it I will post it to box and give you access to it. If there is any more information that is needed, I will gladly provide it.
I've read this forum for about a month on this issue, and am probably stumped because I am beyond my level of understanding here.
Whatever suggestions you have would be appreciated.
PS, the phones work in every other way that we have tried.
Thanks, Woody3
Please Review Att to Tmobile lg g2
Understand that Phone may or may not be unlocked. But you need correct APNs to make Data and MMS Work. You need SIM unlocked to get a Signal with T-Mo Sim. Same with your other phone the S5. Please review SM-G900T on AT&T MMS problem
Please post on the respective threads if you continue to have issues.

Thanks, I tried to set up the APN again, but still get kicked back to the mobile network folder when it tries to connect automatically...I can not connect to the network, it doesn't get that far, it keeps putting me back two folders back.. If this is the wrong thread, Please direct me to the correct one. I read the thread that you referenced above, but my phone won't get that far in the process, and therefore that thread does not go deep enough. Am I missing siomething else?
I will check on the Sim unlocked issue, mine would be locked.
Thanks for your time.

So you have the 4G model of the S4?
Then you should ask in the Galaxy S 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
I know that there are different mobile signal indicators for the statusbar.
Some show "E" (for Edge), "G" (for GPRS), "H" or "H+" (for HSDPA), "4G" or "LTE" (for LTE), other show "2G", "3G" and "4G" ... this might be carrier specific. But on some custom ROMs, you can change it.
If your phone is rooted, you can also use various Xposed modules to modify those statusbar icons.

You got my question wrong .. I am asking about discovering the operators rather than my operator that are available in my location and what services they are providing ..
Actually it is not specified to my set only ..
Almost all Samsung smart phones have this . So I preferred to put my question here ..

Ok. You want to see additional information when manually selecting your mobile operator.
AFAIK this is ROM related.
So please ask in the q&a forum I linked in my previous answer.

[Completed] Changing SMSC Setting on Samsung Galaxy S4 - Without "Secret" Menus?... Possible?...

Changing SMSC Setting on Samsung Galaxy S4 - Without "Secret" Menus?... Possible?...
Phone: Samsung SCH-I545
Android Version: 5.0.1 (Still Verizon Stock)
I am at my wits end, and hopefully this forum can help. I recently ported over my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 over to Walmart Family Mobile (T-Mobile Network). Once it was transferred over (about 5 minutes later) I suddenly could not send texts. Internet, Phone, and apparently MMS messages seem to work, but plain SMS does not. I confirmed tonight that while I am connecting to any LTE 4G tower, SMS does not work. However, when I am on 3G or lower (Edge), I am able to send SMS.
When I read the forums (here and elsewhere) I saw that the solution might be to change the SMSC settings to the default for Walmart Family Mobile, which is supposed to be +12063130004. I try using the "secret" Samsung menu, but it seems to have been disabled by Verizon - it's just not there.
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Tried "secret" codes like *#*#4636#*#* (none work)
- Successfully rooted the phone
- Installed app "Advanced Signal Status", tried updating SMSC to +12063130004 (did not work)
Does anyone know of a means of installing the "secret" Samsung menu, or otherwise modifying the SMSC value?
Or, as a last resort, an app that would always send messages as MMS by default?
Thanks very much for any replies.
