Unresponsive Screen - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since updating to 4.4.3
On two occasions my screen has gone almost totally unresponsive with the exception of a small portion on the top and bottom.
In the picture, the unresponsive area is between the black faded lines on the ends of the screen.

[Q] Yellow Tint on Top of Screen

Does anyone else have a screen that has a slight yellow tint on the top? It's noticeably obvious if you are on an all white (or mostly) screen like the google website. It's not uniform with the entire screen as the middle to bottom would look white while the top would look yellowish white. I don't wanna bash but I'm really tired of HTC qc these days. I have not encountered a flawless G2 (returned 4 times) or myTouch 4G (returned 3 times). If it's not a really loose hinge, it's the dead pixels, dust under the screen, and now yellow tint on top of the screen. Not to mention the off-centered ffc which I don't really mind. I think I'm gonna go to HTC and ask for a replacement once enough time has passed production has settled down.
I had one like that, returned it and got one with dust under the screen =/

Yea it's always one defect or another with this phone. Getting tired of it.
Hi waiaung1,
Can you take a short photo for the yellow tint issue?

Htc sensation screen

I have a question regarding the screen. I can take the back cover off of my phone and when I was taking the battery out to reset the phone very weird thing I could here my screen creaking as if it was loose as well I noticed that when I powered on I could see white lighting at the bottom of the screen but when I press a little bit on the screen the lights would go away. I'm curious if anyone else has the same problem. It's annoying when trying to watch netflix and a dark.scene comes up am I see white lighting. So another question is I'm paranoid about doing is tightening the two.bottom screws.

Uhhh....screen burn?

So I'm pretty sure my nexus has a burn mark on the screen. Its actually not on the screen itself but just below the home soft menu key. Right above the charging port. It looks like a yellowish circle with a dimmer white circle in the middle....anybody have this?

S6 gold users

If you look at your phone you'll notice there's a lighter color "gold" trim that goes around your screen, home button, and sensors. I'm wondering if yours is even? For instance the right side of my screen has more trim than the left and it looks odd when you see it in the right light. Same with the right side of my home button.

Here's a couple pics. First pic you can see on the right side just past black screen the trim is about the same as the bottom trim and it runs past the screen protector. The left side of the screen there's barely any and really none of the trim goes past the screen protector.

Light Brighter on Upper Left

Hi. When I was in the shop I noticed that on the upper left side the back light is brighter than the rest of the screen on white screens. Is this normal? I had the shop open 2 units and it was the same thing.

Could try torquing the screws on back to try and get backlight to shine more evenly. Just a thought. Not every LCD is perfect.

This is very normal with the v10 and v20. Because of the second display, under the second display, there is a darker color. You'll find it most obvious if you have a bright white background. Since the camera is under the left side, it is brighter because it doesn't have the second screen. Also there isn't a great gap between the first and second screen which is resulting in these bleeds and imperfections!
