Android on Windows Tablet and Computers - General Topics

Wanted to share for all the XDA user.. Enjoy..
Friends,
I cant stop cursing myself for not purchasing Android tabs instead of 2 Windows tab Asus Transformer Book & Dell Venue Pro I own. I like all the feature except the very limited games and apps that I can access from my Windows tab.
Before I change my mind, Bingo... one of my friend help me out to install Android OS on my tab! He just took 15 minutes to do it for me. Pretty cool huh?
Anybody who is in the same situation, you can reach out to my friend at [email protected] & the person told me that he can install in any windows computers, tablet, etc....

Install Android in Windows with DuOS
I tried this product DuOS which will install Android version Jellybean in Windows 7/8/8.1 platforms. This one is very simple for use comparing with Bluestacks and has good performance for applications. Refer the link for further details and installation check the website for amiduos

android & Microsoft & vice versa

I was wondering (sorry for sounding stupid); if you can put android into a microsoft phone, can you put microsoft into a Dell Mini 5?
I've been trying to find some site to answer this but I think the best place to answer this is here.
Thanks
AFAIK windows mobile isn't open source. So the kernel code is not available.
Android however is open source so you can download its code to port it to other devices.
I appreciate your answer. While patiently waiting for the HD2, this Dell Mini 5 is now being shown, now I'm a Windows man (?) & the Dell being Android which is kinda new, I use Google search. With this in mind am I already familiar with Android???
I hope you understand my dilemma, simply put am I already using Android?
I don't like Bing I use Google search.
Lastly am I waiting for a Windows phone or should I be getting the Android (Dell Mini 5)???
(Lots of questions but again Thanks).
This is driving me crazy!

I hope I understand your question. Android is a very user-friendly OS, so it's not important if you're familiar with it.
If you buy an HD2, there will be android available for it in future and maybe also windows phone 7 series.

No problem, you're welcome.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thank you, you did understood my questions.
I've been following the 'Leo" for a very long time but since then new apparatuses have arrived & all this talk with Android, I just wanted to make sure that by the time the HD2 gets here it would still be proper to buy.
You have calmed my nerves & waiting for the HD2 is "still" at the top of my list. Its been awhile but good things come to those who wait.
Again Thank you
I figure here is the best place to say this, Android is lagging in so many ways I'd be a fool to go there. The Dell Mini 5 looks good but the Android really is lacking. I truely hope Windows can get themselves into the cloud as quick as possible. Regretfully the HD2 isn't allowed there (WIN7) & to wonder how long before another phone would be developed with regards to the mighty HD2 makes me accept the HD2 & use it for the lenght of time until the WIN7 becomes usable, concidering this is a new decade with new ideas.
I don't think I will have any regrets doing this.
Thanks.
Hope this makes sense to you.

Pretty much all Android Tablets that have Android 2.1+ and a ARMv7 or better processor could do everything you want.
Android tablets can technically do programming but Android doesn't have any good programming tools atm.
If money is not a concern, I'd advise you to buy a Windows 7 tablet which runs at around 500$.
I sugest the 10.1 or the Asus Transformer. Doesnt get any better.

There are only a handful of these. You'll have to look around a bit. Google for for Windows 7 tablets. But, don't buy any of the Chinese ones. Viewsonic has some tablets which dual-boot Win7 and Android.
It all boils down onto your budget, where you live and your personal preferences. There is a i5 tablet around but it runs at around 1200$ which is an over-kill but could be a cool gadget if you have the cash.

He should sell it and buy an android.
At the moment it is not possible and don't think it will be in the near future, Windows Phones have the bootloaders locked down and it is very difficult to unlock them to even accept custom WP Roms, Normally involves hours of developers time to try and create HSPL in order to accept any kind of modification, And this will normally only occur if there is enough interest in a particular handset and a bounty is set for the devs.
Android handsets nowadays have dual core and even quad cores and you would be better off purchasing one of those as in the post stated above.
i think your friend is mad!
1) why he choses a win phone if he needs android
2) it's impossible porting android on nokia 820 or other win phone because le OS are made for different hardware.
i can't believe in this question.....

As far as I read Sony Xperia V will be running Android on Intel Atom. But this will be launched in 2013.
And as far as I read you have to pay MS Money for getting WinOS 8 Devices in Developer Mode.
So why won't he sell it? And if its a company device he shouldn't break it

Actually this is very good question, I respect and admit that this can be done but of course if huge number of people request. It just like apple when now OS6 cannot be jailbreak, but it will be. I think that the initial request is to hope that somebody work on this, ho about if there is sponsor??? anybody:victory:
Agreed

I agreed with you. Why people not open mind to receive and try out of the box. It is benefit to you all if someone can do it, you can use dual OS for difference purpose. You can do what Android can also you can do what WP8 can. I think it is great only waiting for someone make it happen Cheer!
Still is a good idea
I would be happy if i could have a dual boot device ( WIN8 + Kitkat ) Thats why i think many users ask for this.
Keep hoping...

Sorry bro but we are outta luck here..As all such projects have been shutdown..meanwhile there is no possible way of doing this.
You can try Project Astoria but your windows 10 mobile has to be on a certain build to make the project Astoria work.(just google the build no.)
Or we can just wait till the great brains over here at XDA find something.
