CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Hi there.
Keeping this OP short for now as there will be many more things added in the future.
I have a KANG of Omnirom 5.1 booted and running on the Acer Iconia a510
Bugs so far:
-Spontaneous reboots
-some apps crash
-camera is not working
I have started this thread so that I can get some help from the community making another good ol' stable rom for this old Acer Device.
Not posting links for Supersu or GAPPS yet as there isn't time at the moment.
Again Flash at your own risk.
TWRP 2.7.1.0-LVM is needed to flash this rom.
You can find the download HERE

Yes,
I started with forking the official omni repos for the A510 but they needed quite a bit to get up to Lollipop. Saw the picasso-m-mf-dev and it was already there. I also forked @Ziyan's kernel as it had a lot of Acer rubbish cleaned out. Z-Kernel zImage should work fine on your CM12 builds with a cm repacked ramdisk as well.
BTW we also got TWRP 2.8.5.1 booting with our repo sources but it needs quite a bit of fine tuning before it will work properly
Nothing new in here ?
Did you start to have some stable build ?
Tried to run this ROM with CWM (version 6.0.5.0+ with LVM), it succeed. After long loading I got lollipop on my old A510 camera doenst work, sometimes it crashes, but still works quite fine, ty 4 job) Workin on debugin now? gonna test for sometime...

Currently,we have CyanogenMod 12.1/13.0 for our G901F/G906,
but as we know,
its manufacturer,SungHun is unwilling to open source the device tree he using.
What make development difficult,
CallMESuper and I want to make a difference.
This thread is aimed to solve this problem.
Now you have a fully working device tree that can be used to build Cyanogenmod-based ROM by yourself.

omg atleast sunghung has made a working rom for g901f, the only thing you did so far is only writing the g901f phone in your topic title ,which is misleading and dangerous, because people try to flash it on there phone because they think its also for g901f
you should edit your topic title from al your post, and come back with it when you have working rom for it

Do you mind to build RR for us? I actually tried their tutorial just to be slapped with missing paths and directories...and countless times of source download failure really ripped my innocence away. T-T
Anyway, thanks in advance. and thanks for your hardwork on our devices.

WARNING: Broken RIL. THIS ROM IS NOT A DAILY DRIVER AND IS TOTALLY OBSOLETE. EMERGENCY CALLS ARE NOT POSSIBLE.
Use gothicVI's ROM which includes a working RIL and the latest O security patches.
If you want a daily driver Oreo ROM, flash LuK1337's LineageOS 15.1, which is the only alternative right now.
Because our thea deserves to be loved too!
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. This is an unofficial LineageOS 15.1 build made from LuK1337 et al's source trees for the Motorola Moto G 2014 LTE, synced to the latest Lineage codebase with some changes. I have to fix a lot of stuff to make it a stable ROM and therefore development help is wanted and welcome. This ROM is a work in progress and it's purpose is to serve as a reliable base to port over other ROMs to the device, or just to be a smooth daily driver for Lineage fans.
Working: Those features are stable.
Boot
Sensors
WiFi
Bluetooth
Media
Camera: Photos

Touchscreen
Broken: Feedback is wanted.

RIL: telephone calls, SIM, SMS, VoLTE, mobile data, emergency calling.
SELinux is permissive for now.

Oh, hi there. I didn't know that there was somebody still interested in developing for this device. I switched to a Huawei P9 my father gave me, but I still have my Thea saved. That said I tried everything but I couldn't get the RIL to work.
I fixed the vendor image problems by getting the vendor image strings in a terminal emulator in the phone, then going back to my PC and changing the init_thea.cpp file in the init folder of the thea device tree. Check RenanQueiroz' titan device tree, go to init_titan.cpp and get a guidance. I made a dual_override() function too to save space.
I am not a ROM cook though. Just a builder.

Flashed on my 900t.. successful..but Android system prompt shows. Your system has an internal problem. I think it's cuz of the sim that's in. This rom flashed fine on 900t. Magisk not successful, but SuperSU flashes fine.
It should not flash with TWRP for hltemo, but TWRP for hlte. Awesome rom jp!
Edit...rom works good on hltemo but magisk and n SuperSU will flash with errors ... Aborts the root in TWRP. Other than that, it runs fine. No reboots or FC's.

As i said.. Its for HLTE only. That error occurs because of fingerprint, device model/product etc declared on ROM's build.prop that is mismatched on your tmo device.
