This is probably dead, but come on. I went there and saw the reviews, and your replies. You're not even listening to the people who were willing to try your app, they are suggesting a feature that is GLARINGLY missing (face cannot be seen) and you are dismissing them by saying "you don't need it, you're beautiful!" Don't be like Apple and try to decide for yourself what people want. Listen. We don't want a pep talk, we want a reliable developer. I hope you listen to this, because this is an app that you could easily hone into a great staple for many phones, it's something not many have focused on but a lot of people could use.... if it was improved. ? Remember, don't ignore negative feedback. There is genuine negative feedback, and useless negative feedback. Useless negative feedback are left by people who just say "sucks" or "bad" or "I hate this". They say nothing about the problem, leaving you to wonder how to resolve it. Hi,
you such as the users who were 'complaining' about not being able to see their face does not understand the point this app is making.
pictures are taken differently and more naturally when you do not see yourself live in the camera lens. just like a photo shoot, you act naturally and snap a picture.
all the other similar apps show your face live so anyone is free to use them rather than my Bright Selfie app.

I am going to talk about a plug-in I wrote for the Sony Ericsson LiveView.
However, if you guys wish to discuss development for that device or how to make it work better, this is also welcome because it is both intriguing and under-represented (and a bit maddening at times)
Anyway, I was flabbergasted when I realized that there isn't any straightforward "watch" plug-in for the LiveView so in a couple hours I figured out how to use the SDK and created one.
I am not releasing it yet and I will only make it available it there is interest for it and I get the appropriate permissions from the people whose art I have used for this proof of concept app.
By the way, more face and hands art would be welcome!

I hope it works well for you. The device losing its pairing can be quite aggravating.
On the other hand it is a breeze to develop for; actually simpler than writing a home screen widget.
A friend of mine got it last week and said that he had lost his pairing once since he got it set up.
To me no development is a breeze i know squat about programing

The "always on" option would be nice but I invite you to think about this some more...say until your device dies on you because its damn battery is already too weak for the plug-in's current version

In fact, the tricks I read on how to force it to reconnect using AutomateIt, etc., end up sucking battery life like crazy.
The only thing i have to say about this addon, is that its a bit slow to update when i wake the screen. might take a sec before the clock shows the correct time.

Yes, I know about the 1 sec. delay it's due to sending as few updates to the device as possible, to improve battery life.
But maybe I could slightly alter this behavior for a "wake up" event.
BTW, I hope you guys are using the version from the market! It's free, but more likely to get updates than the one on my blog.

i stopped using automateit. it didn't do that much and yes you're right about the crappy battery life .
anyway keep up the good job. it's a nice to have application.

Sound Box
It reacts on a shaking and makes your phone act as a bell, drum, rattle, wind chimes and other such a stuff. It's a toy for fun. Some users noted that children also love it.
So shake your phone, have fun!
The goal
Actually the initial idea came from my friend. She said: it would be cool if you'll shake your phone and it will sound like a junk in a metal box or like a broken device. Totally broken. Later me and my friends came up with an invention to add a bell, maracas and more. When I started, the main goal was to make an app that authentically behave like a rattle, a bell, etc. I tried to get a realistic reaction to the phone shaking. Among other things, different sounds for different strength of shaking - just like real things. Hope I've succeeded.
Variations
There are two versions: lite and full. Lite version contains limited set of sound themes. For now there are small bell, darbuka and "digital" sound (simple sine harmonics). Full one is a set of about 20 sound themes. There are, in addition to lite ones, metal and bamboo wind chimes, maracas, rattlesnake, jingle bells, tin can with junk (yeah that junk from the initial idea) and much more. For now full version is paid.
Requirements
- Android 1.5+.
- No additional permissions required.
Notes
The application locks most of the buttons by default. You could switch it off: see Menu -> Settings for details!

Yeah, why not. Actually there was an idea to make it possible for users to create sound themes by themself and share it with anyone. Right now I finishing my first game. After it possibly I'll made it.
Anyway I'll try to record some nice guitar sound and add it to the existing set.

Yeah, may be, I'm not sure (that somebody will shake the phone so far as to damage it). Anyways, it's not necessary to shake it too hard. There is a setting of the sensitivity in the application. But maybe you're right. Maybe I'll add a warning to the application's description. Just in case.

In fact, this is an on-going scientific research, which are currently be done in many research labs. You may search for "non contact photoplethysmography" for more details. What we do is, we realize the above concept on smart phone
Note that, there are 2 important requirements in this app
1) Must be Android 2.3 and above
2) Must have front camera. In upcoming release, we may support rear camera, so that you may take your friends heart rate, stay tune
version 1.2 has been release with the following changes.
1. Solve OutOfMemoryError in Bitmap.nativeCreate.
2. Avoid about box becoming blank, if "Force GPU Rendering" option is ticked.

2) The annoying sound u mean is button clicked sound? Do you mean, once u click the "Play" button once, u will heard a non stop playing button clicked sound?

I installed it from the market, so I guess that was the newest version.
The sound is a continuous clicking sound, like when a blood pressure monitor's motor is pumping the air. I tought this was intended.

Memes, I think best way of expressing ideas either be in funny way or seriously. I was reading article last week where I find one fact that 'Anybody can convey 65%-75% of his/her message using video, picture or audio.. But Meme takes this percent to 80-85 that is big achievement.
Let's check this meme:
It is conveying some meaning either be satirical or most serious.. Likewise, If Mideo can help Android user in making short videos for documentary purpose, or any university project then including MEME as additional feature will be added-value for this android application.
But, I think something should be done regarding this in Mideo.

Memes, I think is best way of expressing ideas either be in funny-way or seriously. I was reading article last week where I find one fact that 'Anybody can convey 65%-75% of his/her message using video, picture or audio..But Meme takes this percent to 80-85 that is big achievement.
It is conveying some meaning either be satirical or most serious.. Likewise, If Mideo can help Android user in making short videos for documentary purpose, or any university project then including MEME as extra feature will be added-value for this android application.
But, I think something should be done regarding this in Mideo.

Wait a Minute, these Memes can be anything jocular or whatever but think for a while, they are conveying message.. If you want to build any app or software, keep end user in mind, WhatsApp became instant hit, Android became talk of Town.. iPhone became part of Lifestyle because creators of these products had end-users in Mind.

And as we know,we start from words and sentences.As the Internet developing,we have many ways to express our ideas and opinions.But as for youngers,they are living with Internet.And they want to express them with photos and videos.But I think the words is very useful and meaningful.And the youngers would like to express with videos and photos.
I have read the articles.Why Facebook buy Instagram?That's the reasoneople would like to make photos and videos to express themselves,even through the words is the best way.
And most of people want to record their life with photo or video.Maybe they just want to share their life with friends.They don't want to express any ideas.

Announcing SeeFood BETA 1.0
SeeFood is a simple interface which helps you to recognise food categories with ease, a concept which was introduced in a TV Show (Silicon Valley) in S04E03. (Clipping here : https://youtu.be/5_U2TN0vk3w)
Disclaimer
1. Since the application is in BETA, it only supports 11 food categories. I am working on adding more as soon as possible. You can check/request for more food categories below.
2. I am a college student, and I don't have the resources to keep high end servers running. The app might be slow at times. Please bear with me.
3. Again, the app is in BETA. A detailed analysis of the picture(that is, name of the dish rather than the category) would be rolled out with next update!

The usage of the application is quite simple!
1. Start the camera within the application by tapping on the FAB (Eye Button).
2. Click a picture of your food
3. Wait for us to do our job!
SeeFood can currently recognise from 11 food categories. Support for recognising particular dishes will be added with the next update, which is scheduled in a day or two.

Advanced categorisation would be rolled out with the next update! It's ready, but finishing touches are still pending. Stay tuned, enjoy!
New update might take some more time, as I am adding some UI tweaks along with the package

Please don't take this as knocking your work but, what purpose does this really serve? I just can't think of what one would use this for to categorize food when taking a picture since you probably know what it is you're eating. I must be missing something, and again not degrading your work just trying to understand what use this would have.

I understand! I am constantly working on implementing recognition of dishes! Currently I have support for 112 dishes, and with just 112 dishes, the inaccuracy would be huge. So i decided to delay it until I have enough amount of dishes! You can request for support of dishes from the app. Once the dishes are implemented, I can add average calorie amount, recipes, etc. But for that, I need help from you all! This is more of a representation of the potential of the app! Give it some time, and it'll grow

What would be really interesting is to see how this app fares up against the upcoming google lens. In their promotional video, they showcased a feature where it could analyse flowers, so one can only presume that google lens might just be able to perform this task as well.

sadly but true. google has everything to out perform this app but nothing can beat HBO's Silicon Valley

True, but then again, it's gonna be a while till Google lens comes and even when it does, it'll be a while for it to actually enter it's productive state. Till then, this app could potentially capture the market and maybe, just maybe, be able to take the game into it's own hands.
