[REQ] Xposed ? Change color of Active Display - Moto X Themes and Apps

I've been trying out different ROMs and AcDis apps, but nothing compares to the stock Active Display. One feature I liked of the AcDis-like apps was the ability to change the foreground color. Is it possible to change the stock app's foreground color with an xposed mod or app? Thanks.

I have been messing around with xblast and managed to change some of the colors. Not the clock color but some of the info you get when you press down on a notification in active display. That's a powerful xposed module.

Yeah I would love to be able to change the colors. I'm sure it could be done with xposed but I have no clue how to code. If anyone took this up it would be appreciated!

Might be able to come up with something...

Is there any way to change the active display pulsing time / duration? It's great, but the time difference between the Active display going off and coming back is six seconds for notifications, which is little too much for me.

Thanks for you help, let me know if you need anything from me. I'm on an unlocked Verizon running stock system, faux kernal, and TWRP.

[Q] Notification Lights

Out of interest (might be upgrading to NS end of the month) as there aren't any notification lights how difficult (or even possible) would it be to utilise the home, menu, search etc lights to act as notification lights, so that say a text message came while on silent on your desk it could flash them in a KITT type sequence?

I believe this has been discussed before and the answer, if I remember correctly, was that using the capacitive buttons would be either extremely difficult or completely impossible. I could be wrong, but that is what i remember.
The feature you are referring to is called backlight notifications, or BLN for short. There is an app on the market for it. However, to use that feature, you have to have a kernel that supports BLN. As far as I know, there are currently no kernels for the nexus s which has it. Devices that I am aware of that has supported kernels are the Samsung Captivate as well as the Vibrant. Your only other solution is an app on the market called NoLED, which displays notification icons on your screen.

NoLED works pretty well. There are things about it I'd change a little. Icons for one. I'd definitely change the text icon to something that doesn't look like email icon... Color swatches instead of color sliders for those of us that aren't good with choosing crayons.

So I take it it would be a bit of a nightmare implementing this into custom kernels?
It probably is, but its not impossible. The development section for the nexus is still new and will grow. So who knows.

way to edit led notifications without using an app

is there a way to edit colors and app LED notifications within the system files without using apps like light flow or light manager? I don't want to have an app always running to control this function, I'd rather it be from the system itself.
its pretty frustrating how the s3 has so many cool led colors but no stock way to edit when and where they are used.
on jellywiz rls 3

CM10 roms have it built in. Otherwise as far as I know you can either set the color in each app that supports color choosing or you need the app light flow.
i can do this on paranoid android without an app. built into thte settings
Blink also works

Transparent Gapps possible??

I know this may seem a bit of a silly question but I love transparent widgets and so forth. I was wondering if it would be possible to have Gapps that are transparent.
For instance, the swipe to the left feature of getting Google now on the home screen is nice but sometimes I love still seeing my family photos in the background. Or even semi transparent so that you could still see the background partially, or maybe modify something within the system to make all apps appear with some sort of transparency like an Xposed Module, anyone know if its possible?
(I used search but I'm on mobile so it basically included every thread that included the word 'gapps', nothing about transparent apps)

Hybrid settings (xposed)

Is there anything I can do to let me get the phablet ui . I know paranoid android doesn't have hybrid settings yet and pacman isnt officially released so is there a way ?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
The phablet ui no longer exists. Google removed it.
There were 2 things before:
Tablet/Phablet layout of SystemUI - This changed how status bar, notification drawer and navigation buttons were laid out. Google dropped the native implementation (which PA used) for kitkat. Any future implementation of this will need to be completely custom. I haven't seen that anyone has managed this yet
Tablet layout of apps - this is different. App developers may want their app to appear differently on a tablet than on a phone so they develop the app to change at a certain dpi (generally tablets have lower dpi). This still exists. It can be triggered by dropping the dpi to something that will make your eyes bleed or by using xposed+app settings module, which allows per app control of the layout using the "screen (dp)" option
Hope this helps

I think google wanted a unified experience across device types. It kind of makes sense to me. If you can use an android phone, you can use an android tablet. When I first tried a Honeycomb tablet I didn't know wtf was going on
Downgrade to jellybean.

Project Ameliorate Toolbox (P.A.T)

As the creator of many toolboxes for Motorola devices over the past 4 years I decided to try my hand at merging my toolbox with this new fangled thing called xPosed framework. This is where Project Ameliorate Toolbox comes in.
This toolbox is an extension of not only my previous works but I also imported parts of GravityBox as well as built my own parts for the xPosed portion of this toolbox.
** Gravity Box Parts **
I cherry picked some parts from GravityBox, these parts were picked because they work best on the X, and they are what I use.
You should check this out!
*** Disclaimer ***
Parts of XYZ TOOLBOX may conflict with other xPosed Modules, if this occurs then you should uninstall the other modules.

Yes, I would do that. But I have used them side/side as well.

Will you be adding the ability to have the long press Nav key options from Gravity Box? The GB dev spent alot of time working with Moto X owners to get everything working perfectly. XYZ module ui looks very nice, easy to navigate to find the changes you want to make. Are you adding the module to the Xposed repository so we can easily see updates?
Keep up the good work and thanks in advance.
No immersive mode?

with your toolbox is there any way to KILL apps all the way with the back button? Every other phone I've had when I set it up to kill an app it killed it all the way, on the x it's will kill what the app is currently doing, but stay within that app.

The "exit an application" on back button is not how Android handles the life cycle of apps. The OS will take you back one stack (view, etc.), so if you are in an application with multiple views then the back button will keep going backwards through views until you eventually get back to the home screen.
Hi, the option Navigation > NavBar Keys > Navigation Icon, could you please say where do you find him? I use GravityBox (for the QS tiles options) but want to change my Navigation Bar icons, but PAT doesn't go well with GB.
Thanks!

I do not understand the request * Where do you find them?
They are an application that I had built previously and have now added to my version of an enhanced Toolbox. You can't find them in GB. (I hope this answers the question).
